Me and Gabriel will be out for ~ a week, traveling. We are going to try to check if things are ok once in a while, but we will be at a beach paradise with our girls, so it may be difficult.
That also explains my relative absence lately: was trying solve all my work problems before the trip. I will make it up for you guys.
cheers and have fun!!!
well, cpu now is not that dumb anymore…. it wont pay a lot for a player, unless it is really fair.
too much money? right now I d’t think so, with the new rules and the stadium reduction I’m having great dificulty to keep a positive finance… And I think there are many with the same problem, at least the ones who don’t cheet :D
A good suggestion, and the scouts too… waiting for that…
Regards
I dont agree with this stuff. As the game goes on we need new ways of fun, and one of them is buying → improving → selling players.
I spend most of the time searching for the best players in the transfer lists, buying and selling and the market balances the things. Why a CPU team pays XX millions for a player you thing it doesnt worth?? Because nobody is selling the best players and the CPU is plenty of money!! it buys the best player it finds !!!!!! in the medium ticker is very difficult to find in the transfer list players over 80, so if I am going to sell one I will ask the money I think he worths……
I think that setting a limit to the number of players a team can have was a great idea, because somehow it forces to sell if you want to buy or maintain the young players, but I think we dont need more control. It is a part of the game.
there isnt any fun searching the market at this moment guys…
there are no good players in the free transfers or in transfer lists (at reasonable prices at least). this makes the game very hard.
everyone is just waiting untill the end of each season when the good players appear (some times very older). When this happens, all managers try to bring the good ones to their clubs but the problem is the money issue. High and totally unrealistic wages are everywhere – because there is too much money in the game right now.
I think the economy of the game is one of the most important things to improve and there are many concepts to implement such as tv rights or sponsorships (perhaps loaning from banks should be interesting aswell), But all these will give managers more money!
we should balance it properly in the future.
When someone fails to wake up in the middle of the night to purchase that key player his team really needs, you are totally screwed and you have to wait until the end of that season to make it right.
I’m a bit frustrated right now because of the poor results im getting – this happens because im failing to get to the market in time..
cheers.

I agreee With Hugo… we should have a filter in the transfer area that only shows us the position we are looking for.. that way the web page is going to load faster and show only my interests…
I think the reasons for that are:
-the players tend to go towards the goal instead of using the field sides
-there is a lack in the sense of marking, “free” players don’t mark other “free” players, only the one with the ball, if he is near
-no crosses or headers
-too many players in a zone is probably making it easier to take the ball from the opponent
We’ll work in the match replay and make it available for everybody before changing the match engine. I’m pretty sure we’ll have good suggestion from everybody based on what you guys will be able to see :-D
Cheers!
I’ve done some research in Brazilian Serie A (medium ticker)and I think that is something that should be analised:
I don’t know if it’s happening in other leagues, but I’ve noticed that in Brazilian Serie A, the formations that are hardly (or less) used in real soccer are functioning better than the usual ones.
Defensively, I’ve seen a lot of teams playing in 5-4-1, 4-5-1, 5-3-2 and even 6-3-1. The last one, besides really really unusual, is doing a lot well in America-RN. America won even the game against Palmeiras, which is a lot better than the other ones (It hurts to say that since Corinthians is my favourite team).
For those who don’t like playing defensively, the 3-4-3 have been the most used and funcional formation.
So, why the usuals 4-4-2, 3-5-2, 4-3-3 and their variations are not working that well, since they should be the most balanced ones? Is this happenning in the other leagues?
In time: In the last game I’ve changed my formation to 5-3-2 and my team played far better than it was.
Added the board screen. It will be empty until next season’s start, afterwards it will contain the board expectations for each competition your team will be playing during the season. These expectations may be a little unrealistic in some cases, for better or worse, but we will try to improve that later on. This screen will contain more information and features in the future.
Cheers!
problem solved, thanks
Bug fixed JD, please let me know if it works.
Cheers!
The rule for hiring is: you can’t have more than 30 players, considering the players you own (loaned out or not) plus the players you’ve loaned in.
The rule for selling is: you can’t have less than 1 goalkeeper or less than 14 players, considering only the players you own and are not loaned out.
JD spotted a bug anyway, you should not receive this message when the player is already transfer listed. Will fix it as soon as possible.
Cheers!
In this subject, I’d like to report something that I’m not sure if it’s a bug or a kind of blind point of the game system. I coach Figeirense (Brazilian Série A) and now I’m receiving the message that stops me from buying player because my team lacks players and also receiving the message that stops me from negociating new players because my team exceeded the 30 players limit.
Well… I suggest you to use the same rule to establish the minimal and the maximal number of players per team. Probably this problem happens because the system accounts loaned players to limit the maximum of players per team, but ignore them when limits the minimal quantity of players per team.
It’d be better, especially to those teams who doesn’t have enough money to buy a full quality squad and need selling good players and using loaned players to be competitive, if loaned players could not be counted at all. This way, we’d not suffer with teams without players enough to play and also ’d not limitate the possibility of loans…
That’s it!
Best!
Hi,
I was trying to change the transfer price of a goalKeeper and got this message
Team Maritimo – Portugal
Can you explain why?
No rush, I plan on keeping all my players on the pitch if possible!
cheers.
yep, it is sure important to make the replay available as soon as we can. one of the things i would want to finish before we do that is the board basic functionality. lets see…
nsg, I have entered a bug request using your feedback. the next two weeks will be very complicated, but i will try to fix it as soon as possible.
cheers!
On 30 league matches this season, I got 0×0 nine times! :)
Boavista, for instance, tied no less than 17 games.
Here are the answers :-)
1) There is no influence of the results sequence in the next match performance, but there will be in the future, and that will be properly announced;
2) There is no morale attribute, but we will have, and it may not be hidden;
3) I agree there are too many ties, at least I’m having many this season on MediumTicker, specially 0×0. The match replay should help identifying the reason for that as well.
Cheers!
I think that could give us some more help on figuring what the team isn’t doing how we think it should. But take your time, of course :)
Sorry if these questions had already been answered, but…
:: is there any influence of the results sequence on the team performance? I mean: if my team loses 4 games on a row, are my chances of winning the next game different comparing to a scenario where I won the last 4 games?
:: Do the players have any kind of hidden attribute (such as morale, for instance) that boosts/penalizes their performance? This could explain why regularly some players put on stronger exhibitions than other players who have stronger skills (assuming that both are playing on their natural positions).
:: Looking at what happened on the last two seasons at the Portuguese first division, it seems to me that there are too many tied matches – maybe you could check that and do some “fine tuning”, if that turns to be your opinion too.
Thank you :)
I have to disagree at least in one point Carlos, improving the squad did brought me better results. After finishing middle in table a few seasons ago I’ve hired a 93 attacker, a 94 defender and my keeper improved to something around 90. I’ve finished in 3rd two seasons in a row, won the Copa Sudamericana and now I’m second in the league. :-)
Anyway, I have the feeling that making the match replay available for everybody, even with the not so mature match simulation we have, would make it easier for you guys to give us suggestions on how to improve that. I’ll talk to Danilo about this, we must work on a way to better present this replay before making it available.
Cheers!
The biggest mistery for me is… As my squad gets stronger, with better players, my results get worse and worse. I keep on losing games against teams with players that, comparing to mine, are much weaker (something like, in average, 10 units per player on the main skill).
The tactic is the same that gave me good results in the past – even though I’ve experimented a lot, with no results whatsoever.
Forwards with shooting 87, 83, 82… All defenders with tackling 87 and 86, a keeper with keeping 91, and I still manage to end the championship having more goals against than goals scored. How come?
Stamina always 99 or 100.
I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong, and it’s hard to fix things when we don’t know the reason why they’re not working. Sometimes I look at the match reports, at my squad and my opponents, and the matches seem randomly generated… I quited from following the market, as I see no results on improving the squad…
Cheers :)
i will take a look. but it is probably the 2 yellows problem.
cheers!
Another bug:
In my last match I had my only striker sent off in the first half. Despite having a rule against that formation that says in the event of a red card to an attacker take off a defender and bring on the best attacker, no substitution was made at all so I played the rest of the game with no attackers. The attacker had previously had a yellow card in the game so perhaps it was a second yellow card and that is not being handled the same as a straight red? If so then 2 yellows should be handled the same. If not then the rule isn’t working at all.
I think it’s not necessary, only for the 2 firt turns to prevent situations like the one I mensioned… After that any one has great chances to go to the final so if any team eliminate another fror his country there still be 1 for the few stages left.
ah, Good luck for Sporting, but I hope I win :D
Cheers
Maybe the best thing to do is always prevent same country matches unless it is inevitable, like having 3 teams from the same country on the semi-finals for instance.
Cheers!
I think the second round is still to early for teams from the same country to play against each other… This stage can be compared to the group stage on real life (all the participant teams are there).
This season Portugal only have 2 teams on that round of CL, and we will play already against the other so only 1 will pass to the next stage… Last season something similar hapend, and Portugal don’t get more points because of that…
Regards
What Filipe said makes sense and should be taken in consideration, but we will analyze the reports and hopefully find some time to improve the match engine. Thanks for all these match report links guys!
Cheers!
I think some of that results are because of the home advantage… It is much more dificult to win away even if the oponent is an inferior team, so draws are much more frequents. Even Academica with a far superior team than the rest of us has some trobles in away matches. This is good because the championship is a lot more competitive and teams are very close in the table…
Regards
just some games that might help in the analysis
The folowing to matches were agains “computer teams”. I know that there is the “luck” part of the match and the tactic influencies but … it’s hard to see those two results :) .
26 shots on goal … 0 scored end of the match 0×0
