Thank you :-)
Goalkeeper: What stat identifies the best Goalkeeper? Perhaps the Goalkeeper who is in the team of the season gets the Goalkeeper award for every competition?
Can’t use saves added to deflections, as these do not take into account games played. Goalkeepers who play all the National Team games will always accumulate more saves and deflections as these are only pure totals.
New: Top Assists award
Players who lead a competition in assists now get a Top Assists award on their Awards tab — the same way top scorers are recognized today.
When a league or cup finishes, the player(s) with the most assists in that competition receive the award, including the competition name and assist total (e.g. Top Assists — Premier League (8 assists)). Tied players all get it.
You’ll see it on a player’s profile under Awards. It applies to competitions that finish after this update.
Scout searches can now refresh expiring reports
We’ve added an optional setting when you configure a scout search: “Include players from expiring scout reports?”
When enabled, completing a search will first check whether any of your existing scout reports are close to expiring. If one of those players still matches your search criteria, the search will refresh that report instead of recommending someone new.
Why this helps
Keeps useful reports current for longer
Confirms whether a player still fits what you’re looking for
The option is off by default, so existing searches behave as before until you turn it on. You’ll find the checkbox on the scout search setup screen, next to the other search options.
As always, feedback is welcome.
I’ll take note of all of those, definitely worth adding them.
Players who are top scorers in a competition are acknowledge as Top Scorer in their Awards tab.
Midfielder:
- Can we add in Top Assists? Show love to the mid-fielders too.
Defender:
- Can top tackles be added to Competition Statistics, and also to the Hall of Fame?
- Can top tackles be added to the Awards tab?
In national cups, managed teams should only face each other if it is unavoidable (i.e. more than half the teams in a stage are managed), otherwise they will always face CPU teams. The intention is to delay as much as possible matches between managed teams, leaving them for the final cup stages.
Tackling intensity now influences the amount of stamina used during a match. During a full match, hard tackle will cause the player to use 1 extra stamina, whereas easy tackle will cause the player to use 1 less stamina.
Squad value: we have added a squad value ranking, which is nothing more than the sum of the player values for all players owned by the team (including youth players and loaned out players, but not loaned in). The squad value info is also present in the team’s main page and under the main player list.
We’ve added a Financial Power panel to the Finance page to give you a clearer sense of where your club stands financially.
You’ll see:
Your current balance and usual economy status (good, regular, etc.)
How you compare to other clubs in your league
How you compare across the whole dimension
Comparisons use broad bands like Top 10%, Top 25%, Bottom 50%, and so on — not exact balances of other clubs. National squads are excluded from the rankings.
Absolute health and relative wealth are different things: you can be in decent financial shape overall but still below most clubs in your league, or the other way around. The new panel is meant to show both at a glance.
Check it under Finance and let us know what you think.
We fixed two issues on the National Selection → Replace player page:
Column sorting after switching position — When you toggled between Defenders, Midfielders, and Attackers, the “Best replacements” table stopped sorting. Sorting now works correctly after each switch.
Skill column sort order — Skill columns (Kpg through Hea, and Avg when shown) now sort highest first on the first click, matching the rest of the player tables.
We’ve added a new filter to Scout Searches: Pressure Handling.
When setting up or editing a scout search, you can now specify the lowest pressure handling level you’re willing to accept. The scout will only recommend players who meet that requirement.
We are on brand new servers, and a major tech stack upgrade has been applied. Let us know if you face any issues.
TestTicker has been made inactive. It was being used by a very small number of managers, and we haven’t had the time to test new features in there for a while now. We also believe it might have been contributing to the frequent “server down” errors we experienced.
The latest poll results are in:
What change would you like to see next in the game?
52% – Add pressure handling to scout search parameters
28% – Add other continents
10% – Players lose more or less stamina based on tackle intensity
7% – Add more European countries
3% – Add new division 1 or 2 teams to existing countries
When you bid for a player against other managers, you can now see the detailed breakdown of each individual proposal’s strength in the player’s history page, after negotiations are concluded. This information remains available for 1 season.
I dont think it wud make people less likely to sell players as all players would be getting experience with every match they play even in cpu teams. What it wud do wud be to make it interesting in how people select their lineups. Additionally a defence that perhaps has Experience +3 for most of their defenders could lead to having a solid well organized defence.
That’s an interesting one. The only concerns I have is if it would make people even less willing to sell their players…or make it harder for those renewing the squad.
I’d probably have to couple something like this with a return of a simplified player morale feature…where sometimes players get unhappy in the team and that impacts their performance or make them willing to move.
So ive been thinking for a while and i think adding player experience would be good for the game.
Basically it could work similar to player traits were once a player has played 100 competitive matches he could gain Experience +1, then after 200 matches Experience +2 and then after 300 matches Experience +3. Therefore a team that is more experienced would play that little bit better than an opposition team with less experience and make older players more valuable to teams.
Hi,
AI is kinda nuts, marketing stuff can be made with realisim:

I doubt this link will work, but:

The prompt I used, ha ;-)
“Have 1 latina south american supermodel crouching in soccer training outfit, with a crop top, smiling, and goalfc.net logo on her outfit, whilst holding a soccerball with goalfc.net”
Some interesting ones over there…would need to start collecting some very specific stats in a few cases, but I like them.
Hi,
would be interesting to see some manager stats:
- top 10 managers with lowest mistakes. Mangers who:
- – put players in wrong position like a defender in an attacker position, or LC in a L position
- – best % of players traits being used correctly in matches across the season
- player development of youth to first team best use of best players in team across season
-
- best finances (not including trades) % ratio of best results by player wage
-
- % ratio best stats of player purchased by games played best ratio of wins for each team class
-
Would be great to be able to invite National teams for a friendly match.
The scout reports page now include information about the player’s start type, for those who have stars (and had stars when the report was completed).
Pressure Handling now added to the scout reports page.
If you have opted-in to see the player’s average skill, it will now be displayed in the transfer list page as well. As usual, a reminder that the average skill has no direct correlation to the player quality and is not directly used in the match simulation, it’s there for informational purposes only.
You can now see the player’s pressure handling in the transfer list page.
Starting next season in FastTicker and MediumTicker we are going to have the UEFA Super Cup (CL x EL champions) and the Recopa Sudamericana (Libertadores x Sudamericana champions). In order to accommodate the new competitions, all continental cups will start 6 turns earlier, on turn 14.
The country ranking is definitely a bit broken. All matches weigh the same throughout the competition, and qualifying to the next round gives you a bonus. We’ll have to revisit this methodology at some point.
Four of the eight teams in the semi-finals of international cups (EL + CL) are from the Netherlands. Zero from France. Yet The Netherlands has scored only 50.9 points so far while France scored 57.142 points.
I understand how this happened. Still, it feels that the points calculation is not quite an accurate reflection of how the teams performed. In the current system the qualifying games are more important than the finals, I think?
One possible solution: abolish the qualifying games (and places) for EL, instead the loser of the CL qualifying games go to the EL.
Still random, nothing has changed.
Just looking at Medium Ticker – this season’s International Friendlies. There are many countries where we play 3 matches this season.
Am curious if this is random or a new focus?
