TestTicker now uses the concept of manager contracts, where teams offer contracts to managers instead of managers freely applying for jobs. All managers employed in the dimension were automatically given a contract that expires at the end of next season. If you are currently employed there, you can see your current contract in the Board screen.
When the contract is nearing its end, your team will offer a renewal if they’re interested or let you know otherwise. In the Job Center screen you can search for offers from smaller teams (classes C to F), in order to receive offers from A or B teams you need to be performing well in the current team.
At the moment this feature is very simple. If it is well received it can be improved to include specific goals to be met by the manager during his contract.

My desperation is from my season. Until turn 92, my team lost only 3 matches.
I lost 7 of 9 games without any reduction in player skills. SMH
In season 214, I won only 3 of the first 11 matches. Suddenly I had to fight against relegation. The next 8 matches were a little better (4 wins, 3 losses, 1 tie) and then suddenly things started to get going. In the end I won the world cup! I still have no clue why the start was bad (and the finish good).
I can relate to professional football managers now.

Anyone else lose 7 of 9 matches?
Let through 25 goals in those 7 losses. I am still 2nd in the Premier League despite this! So my team was great most of the season.
No discernible difference in my team that has done great. Other than, I spent $80mil on a new striker with great skills, who has scored 4 goals in 5 games. So this positive influence in attack has not helped.

No, not irrelevant…in this case it just means the player did not become good enough to be eligible to fulfil his last(s) step(s) of playing for national squad. This is a known issue that will disappear once all old players that had this step retire.

So the coaching report is irrelevant? My Next Step is to play for the National Squad, but he is not even good enough to appear in the list of selectable players.
I did loan him out, he has 4 Man of the Match awards this season. Is still only a Class B player.
I saw you posting the same question in our Facebook page where the screenshots were showing, but now I can’t see it anymore to make it visible to everyone…can you post there again? If we post there and link here and no one provides assistance I can have a look myself and give it a go :-)
Not sure if this is any comfort, but usually the most a player will improve with national squad or man of the match steps is 3 points…it can be just 1 as well, so not a big loss.

So I’ve played this game from SoccerSim to Ruby Soccer and now Goal FC
Love playing it and use to win a few trophies here and there
However for a few years now I’ve been pretty crap and can’t work out what im doing wrong tactically
So I’ll put up a couple of screenshots and want your comments on what I should be playing and any other tips to get back on track

The National Squad manager has just messaged me and advised that: my player does not appear as a possible replacement option. Thus he will not ever be selected, and thus will not ever improve.
He messaged me a list of the players he sees in alphabetical order – my guy was not there.
As for my suggestions, yes my main focus was to try and find something that a manager can influence.
The “play for national squad” step was also dropped along with the “man of the match” step, however that is only true for players that were created after the change was put in place.
I like your suggestions regarding next steps, however I may look at them in a different angle either as part of something contractual with the player or maybe a goal for managers to achieve.
And no, I literally have no idea how to help an individual player achieve most of these things. Any advice is appreciated.

Coach Reports Next Step did get a change in the past year. “Must win a Man of the Match Award” was dropped due to the inability of managers to make this happen.
I just received this Next Step report:
“This player needs to play for his national squad. Recommended coach level: 1”
How can I have the ability to make this happen? Just like getting a MotM award, how do I get my Class B player into a National Squad?
National team managers are under immense pressure to perform well, and win, from the entire population of the country they represent. How can they be reasonably expected to put in a sub-par player?
I know I do, I try to find a couple younger players and give them some International Friendlies. But I also lose a lot.

These assume managers have a way to set up a formation and tactics to give an individual player more chance to achieve:
- Must score 5 goals in next 15 games
- Must score 30 goals in the season
- Must score 5 Penalty Kick Goals
- Must provide 10 Assists
- Must average 5 tackles over the season
- Keeper to maintain Avg Rating above 7.5 for the season in their division
- Player must play in 5 FA Cup games
- Player must play in 45 games in the new season
- Player must not receive a red card in the next 30 games
- Player must receive 5 Team of the Round in the next 38 games

A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes to improve admin tools. Our efforts with regards to multi-account detection and penalties had good results, with managers deciding to abandon additional accounts in favour of playing without any penalties. We are now working on better ways for us to analyse the economy health of each dimension, so that we can more quickly act to balance it.
A class “S” player is, in general, an “A” class player who’s got enough stars to turn him into an “S”. Top skilled A players may require a single bronze stars, whereas not so high skilled A players may require more. If your player was downgraded during the season, it means the combination of his skills + stars were not enough anymore to keep him as an S.
There are a few exceptions where an A player who improves enough during a season may become S without having stars, but it is rare.
Class S players are very interesting to me still.
I’ve now had many Class S players lose their Class S and go back to Class A:
- during a season
- whilst having a huge average rating above 8
- whilst playing nearly every possible game club and national team
Then I look at Nancy and see that team with 8 Class S players and I wonder how I can achieve that too.
Why does it feel like my bad games, with my best team, always seem to come against relegation teams?
Another 1×1 draw vs the bottom team, instead of a 6×0 domination. smh. Any advice on how to improve against inferior opponents whilst I am fighting for top position in the league?

Is it possible to add this to just above both the loan players section and the youth players section as well?
Will be handy when looking at their values without having to scroll all the way to the top, and back down again each time.

as an example of my sad life on a Saturday night in virus lockdown, thought about doing something meta in game.
irl kids do an Easter Egg Hunt, thought about some things we managers could do in game:
- A week to focus on bugs or suggestions for the game
- In game searching for various things:
-> Player with shortest total name, longest total name, longest first name and longest last name
-> Player with the most highest stats over 90, the most lowest stats under 40
-> Oldest player at the start of a season
-> Player with most National team caps
-> Player with most games played at the start of a season/during a single season prior to the World Cup games
All this time in hard lockdown in Australia is clearly getting me.

The NBA pre-season is coming up, lots of intra-team practises going on at the moment, and I thought it would be a nice and easy option to put in.
That’s an interesting suggestion…would have to come up with a nice way to let you pick two formations ensuring no player overlap between them!
