It´s not question of math, but the player is better then other… it´s easy to understand… and I hope that i don´t be fired until this change. The board show – 2% when my team lose and + 1 when obtain a good result… complicated.
That’s a good point Javier, one of my best strikers has only shooting 80, but dribble 91 or something like that…I have another one with good tackle.
Almost done wiith headers, Individual Tactics should be our next feature. After that we can start working on making it easier to score. The reason we have to wait for those two features before making it easier to score is that all 3 improvements will require modifications to the same portion of our code.

When I’m reading this post, I’ve seen that all of you only speak about “shooting” values fro strikers…well, I’m sure that it’s also important the rest of values for a striker and perhaps your striker has a high value on “sho” but medium or low in the rest of params…
Perhaps I’m wrong andyou are scoring very few goals with great strikers…

I’m currently playing with three strikers (95-94-90 shooting) and didn’t score goals on 7 of the last 11 league games.
I’m glad that stuff like that happens, this is supposed to be football, not math… :)

A player with 83 kick score two goals while my attackers with 99 and 90 no goals. Detail that my goalkeeper have 88 and defenders have 90-90-89-88. A attacker with 83 kick make goals.

I don’t know but I can imagine how difficult it is to change this situations explained over this. I think it demands time and time I think you guys developers don’t have now, at least without making some money with this game.
But I think that is one of the most important things to change in this game. When I comment that 1×0 0×0 results is unfair is because a match that has 60 shoots against 1 finish 1×0 (happens with Criciuma x Gama) is at minimum a disapointing thing.
But sorry, I’m just showing my fed back, I know you are working hard. I guess, talking with commum friends, more of players should feel the same. So, from all of your improve list, I think wicked formations and poor results when the gAme is very INTENSE, should be the first ones.

We already have a lot going on regarding this and other TODO’s. A lot will change in the following weeks – and it already started, with the kick off on individual tactics. But we also will:
- alter the odds and the shoot vs goalkeeping algorithm
- add headers (that will have a considerable impact)
- adjust the whole package so wicked formations pay the price for their design or add the “minimum amount of players per zone” workaround for now
- etc.
You guys have to understand that it is very difficult for us to promise a deliver date where all the problems will be solved. But what we can guarantee is that we are working as hard as we can to gradually improve all the aspects you guys are raising your hands about. But we are also counting on your common sense to analyze every situation carefully. This kind of tight result is, frequently, fair.

I don’t know what is happen, its start to being boring to play this game since results are only 1×0, 0×0, 0×1...Its a difficulçt result something more than 2 goals for the most of the teams, at least in Brasil league. And still remains this wicked formations. How can my team draw with a team that put 0;7;3 in its formation? Man, me and some friends that play Ruby too, are really desapointed with this situation, one has already leave it.

I’ve received some suggestions and have some ideas to reduce the number of shots and make it easier to score, at the same time. I’m already working on the match logic to add headers, maybe I can do something about this problem before adding headers. I’ll make some tests when I have some time. Hope you’re not fired before that. :)

My problem is that i have a stronger team, howhever I’m not performing good results. I tried all possible formations and my team lose. My best attacker, that have 99 kick, doesn´t make goals for more eight turns. My worst player have 87. What happens? It´s difficult understand.
A team play with 0-6-4 and win, other plays 0-7-3 and win… I´m thinking play without defender but my attack don´t function. Thus i will fired unjust.

The idea is that wingers will be responsible for crosses that will result in headers…in fact, any player on L or R side is a candidate for crosses. Corners will also be changed so that receiving players or defenders will use headers instead of kicks. We can call this the first phase. In the second phase we’ll change free kicks and long balls so that they may result in headers.

How will the players score from headers ? Will you implement air passes or only improve free kicks and corners ? This is important because due to some weird bug most of us play having 6-7 players in the centre of the field (I mean DC, MC, FC), we don’t really use wingers :)
It will be more important for attackers and defenders than to midfielders…the current value calculation is based on average of all skills and changes only when a player improves, of course the most important skills for a particular position have a greater influence. By the way, I’m also adjusting this influence of each skill for each position, so expect values to change a little bit next time a player improves when headers are added.

Nice suggestion thorpedo! I’ll add to our list. In the beginning you won’t have to worry about that as all existing players will have header skill set to 80. For new players it will work as any other skill, generated based on country / division and improve with experience.

When you add headers to the game I think it’s also usefull to have an individual tactic for corners. So you can put your header specialists in the 16 meter and non- header specialists outside the box to prevent a counter. The chance of a headergoal is larger I think and it will be more realistic. In the real world header specialists also go forward at corners.
I suggest 2 options on corner situations:
– Go forward to head in
– Go back to prevent counter
In defense:
– Go back to prevent headers
– Go forward for counter

They’re still reviewing the translation, but if you speak any of these languages feel free to help them improve it, as some sentences / words might be inaccurate due to lack of context during translation. I can’t agree that 12% of board satisfaction after six wins and one draw on seven games is realistic.
I must say once again that I don’t think this criteria is fair to those who manage to build great squads. They’re always penalized, because even if you have the best squad in your country, it’s 99,999% certain (and natural!) that you won’t win each and every game. It doesn’t happen in real life, but it seems that we’re expected to do that on RubySoccer :)
Why don’t you think about evaluating at the end of the season the level of accomplishment of the board expectations? Because the way things are right now, it doesn’t seem impossible to win the championship or the champions league and be fired…
This seems much more realistic for me. Real life football and business world work like this; they give you a goal, and you are judged on whether you accomplished or not. No one cares if you win 2-0 or 5-0… as long as you win.
There is a logic behind that but I agree it’s not smart at all. An AI team expands its stadium cause it knows it will be full if they have a good performance. Clearly we have to change that, specially after the addition of departments. Also, AI teams don’t loan players yet and the buy logic must be improved, as Alban pointed out. I have a few ideas but haven’t created an enhancement in our system. Let me do that now. Suggestions are welcome, as always :)

Well, don’t you remember that AI teams can, for example, spend 6M on a 86kep GK though they have a 85kep GK ?=)
The problem is to make AI clubs transfers smarter, but it is a huge problem and not only for this game =)
