I have coaching level 10 and according to the wiki there is a 0% chance of a player improving by +1. If I understand this correctly then when a player improves he must improve by at least +2 and possibly as much as +6.

My keeper had keeping of 90 and improved by a single point to 91. I had assumed that maybe he had reached his maximum, but a few turns later he has improved again by a single point to 92 so this can’t have been the case.

Could you check the logic for coaching please? It looks like it’s not working as described in the wiki.

2) No. Wage demands formula will be implemented and announced later ;)

3) Discussing with a friend the formula I was going implement we ended up with new ideas that will probably make the values increase. More on that when I have made the preliminary calculations.

I have questions, Gabriel !

1) Will this value decrease influence our merchandise income ? If yes, I am against changes !

2) Will it also change wage demands ?

3) It is kinda boring to see every player valued below 3M. We need players worth 10, 15, 20, even more million, because it is exciting !!!!

Can you make all their values higher ? I also think the difference between average and top players should be bigger !

I’m about to change again player value calculation as we agreed it can stay the way it is now. With the change I have in mind all player values will be immediately recalculated using the new formula and this new formula will be dynamic, meaning it will change according to the player transfers that are currently happening. As a consequence, each dimension will have its own dynamic formula.

What I could observe with the data collected from the last 100 players transfer is that the player estimated values will decrease dramatically, as most transfers do not involve top players. This scenario is likely to change over time as new countries with weaker players are added to the game. For now, I see top players’ estimated value around 2.2M, average players from 800k to 1.3M and weakest players around 400k.

If anyone has anything against these changes or another suggestion on how to calculate player estimated value please feel free to tell us. Another option is to remove the player estimated value, but I think it’s fun to have it.

I have a couple of young ones for sale:

I wanted to surprise you guys and properly announce it when we allow free kick takers to be selected (as well as for penalty kicks and corner kicks). The answer is yes, keepers use the same skills as in a regular shot, 60% keeping and 40% speed. The free kick taker in the other hand uses 80% shooting and 20% control.

Free kicks are always direct shots when near the goal, otherwise they’re always high balls, meaning they can result in a header. For now you can give any kind of order on free kicks Alban, it’s a fixed behavior, but it’s an interesting enhancement for the future, if not too complex ;)

I think same skills as an ordinary shot, 60% kep + 40% spe.

And heading if it becomes a high pass or a cross. But can it ? Would be great if it were possible to order players make crosses or shoot directly in different situations !

I just saw Ascoli score on a freekick. Suprise! I didn’t know there were already freekicks in the game. You work quicker then I can see :-)

Which skills does a goalkeeper need to catch freekicks? Also 60% Keeping and 40% speed+heading?

Hi Kalle,

Bids for non listed players are on our plans, as well as some kind of BCC contract clause (and other clauses). Morale, definitely! We feel we’re almost done with what we consider basic functionality, then we’ll be able to start working on more interesting things like that :)

Stadium expansion cost is not exponential, but linear. You pay 100,000 for 100 seats when your stadium is smaller than 10,000 seats and 1,000,000 for the same 100 seats when it’s bigger than 90,000. The construction time also increases, in the previous example it would take 1 turn to build 100 seats for the small stadium and 10 turns for the bigger stadium.

When I say dynamic value calculation I mean use the value paid on transfers to adapt our estimated value calculation formula so all players value would slowly become more realistic when recalculated. :)

I’m not sure do I speak of the same topic or just newbie babbling…. but I wonder is there any chance to do following:

Go to teams page, choose one team to research, then choose its players, to do research,
then a manager sees interesting player at team’s roster, woohoo, I gotta make a bid! but wait a min…

I cannot bid… because there is no “offer” button in front/back of player name/stats….

Could that be possible to bid players and leave it to manager(/or player choice if BCC) choice whether deals goes through….?

Also I would be delighted to see player morale affecting their behaviour, (maybe additional hidden stat “ambition” would be guiding his morale chances how patiently he can wait at reserves…?)

Lastly I would definitely like to see team staff stats as well… and from MS experiences I would adjust stadium expansion into direction that around 70000 would be sensible limit for normal stadium size tops… of course no limit, but costs would be exponential after that or something to make it extremely difficult to increase over 70000…. or maybe some country/ adjustment for that?

I just tossing my ideas…. so feel free to pick up any usable things…. :-)

I remember there was an idea that our scouts would evaluate players and tell us what to expect from youths. Maybe it is possible to ask scouts about players’ potential ? Maybe once a week or somehow else ?

Yeah, I remember in MS we could buy a 10M worth player for 40M and then his price slowly dropped, or rised, if he was bought for less than he was worth

I completely agree with all that has been said. Here’s my action plan: adjust all player’s values based on the new rule AND make the value calculation dynamic over time so it will slowly approach the real market value.

Sorry for the mess guys, I didn’t mean to get everybody confused ;)

“Value” is nearly meaningless now. Therefore useless. Worse then that… it’s potentially/actually confusing!

When a 100 rated defender is available for free transfer… and he’s valued at only 2.9 million… but gets a salary of around 700,000+!… and he had 2 or 3 bad players “valued” above him on the free agent list… it’s insane… and meanwhile I have 16yo striker with NO skills and worth 3 million?

UGH.

So now the free agent lists are useless… because the “value” that you use to sort them is useless. So, you need to look at every single player. And that’s OK if you want it that way… but then you should just ELIMINATE the “value” rating at that point. Because it DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING.

Something is seriously amiss. I watched the “value changes” as it started, and I thought it might correct itself, so I kept quiet and just watched and waited. It seems to be getting worse instead.

I am now of the opinion that there is something FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG now. Something that needs to be looked at, and fixed.
