I wouldn’t say that, Alban. It’s better to pass the ball (even if they miss) than try to run with it and lose the ball in a tackle ;)

u have answered it yourself… in all the official games, ( from real world to ruby soccer), 3 substitutions are allowed per match (except for friendlies).

Don’t worry, this happens in the Cup to me all the time. Be it at PSG or when I was at Lens, I never get far in this competition. Yet I can win the League and get to the CL Semi-Finals. I’ll take that as consolation. Good luck in the cup.

Hy masters,

What it means, “The last transfer involving player Heitor Alencar was rolled back by the game masters.”, I’ve loaned a goalkeeper from Santo André. It manager inform me that the was in a sale transaction with Fortaleza, and ok so far. So today I’ve received this message but the player is no back for Santo Andre.

Thank you
D. Broca

We have a limit for the substitutions on the official games?
I have listed 6, but only 3 are being realized.
Thanks for your answer.

Can something done to improve the current match replay ?

Maybe add some arrows to understand how the players pass or also some special tackle symbols ?
I also think that it will be better if we have longer list of comments, I mean that we could scroll up/down for the comments without FF/REW the match =)

Maybe some more interesting details…

I just remember that in MS I liked to watch the replay though it wasn’t much (or any) better than in Ruby.

Match engine improvements

1) Defenders usually have low passing skill, will it mean that now they will lose the ball more often near their goal ?

Second improvement on the match engine: passing logic. Players used to pass the ball to the most distant teammate within the range specified in the passing strategy (short, medium or long), now they pass to any player within the range.

yeah but a lot of those 4-4-2 are not a classic 4-4-2, same as the 3-5-2, it only says that cause you put 4 defenders but most people playing with 4 defenders play a 1-3 or a 3-1 in defense….it’s only 4-4-2 on paper but in reality it’s far from being that if you look at replays

First improvement from the match engine enhancements package: zone based passing frequency. Your team will still use the passing frequency strategy you define, but your defenders will pass the ball a little more frequently while your attackers will pass a little less frequently.

I have a question about the wrong player taking the penalty/corner/free kick. Was the player assigned playing when the match started?

most matches i watched have either 3-5-2 or 4-4-2 with ppl managing it and reaching high in uefa/cl… but wing play i not a real good thing atm so i think it’s not being used.

I personally think the UEFA cup victory in season 19 of Lyon was more impressive :)….look at the type of players at Lyon and then look at Recreativo :)….proving you don’t need the best players to win :)

You can expect some match engine enhancements in the near future, including better use of wingers and full backs. Hopefully it will make this bizarre tactics less useful. What can I say about CPU-controlled teams…they’re just stupid, but sometimes their stupidity works :P

From Vaughn in the Improvements topic:
“gabriel,
did u make it on purpose that u can’t change the contract in wages/turn etc? Haven’t got to see it for myself, but i had a loan running out and i could renew the contract without knowing witch terms i would agree to. Would like to see a little improvement in that.”
It was made on purpose, the renewal terms are exaclty the same as in the original loan. We can change that in the future, I just thought it was better to release something simple first :)

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of managers use very weird tactics and they’re actually winning with them. I have see numerous people who clog up the middle with some weird 3-1-1-2-1-1-1 tactic. A lot of manager don’t even put wingers or full backs, in what universe would something like that work? Do I even need to mention the CPU-controlled teams tactics…

Could we get some respect here for our small French country here :). We have moved up from last spot to 4th in country ranking because of past succes and we did it with no money or hardly any 90+ stat players :).

Loan renewals are available! When the loan contract is reaching its end (12 turns before) both managers will receive a message and will have the opportunity to propose a loan renewal. If the other manager agrees the loan will be extended for the minimum period requested in the original loan clause. For example, if the manager requested a loan from 36-108 turns, the loan will be renewed for 36 turns. Wage and other conditions will remain the same. The loan can be renewed as many times as the managers want. It’s not possible to renew loans with CPU managed teams.
Important: if you have a loan ending in 12 or less turns from you will not receive any message alerts, but you’ll still be able to renew the loan going to the player info page and clicking the new loan renewal option in the bottom left area.

It’s an honor to have so many fellows from SS/MS here. I definitely remember you Stephen, always active in the forums and trying to help MS survive in its latest days until we realized there was nothing we could do anymore. Hope you enjoy our game and our growing community. Where is Chris Silcock? (did I spell it correctly?) He was also an active manager in the forums on MS :)

Hi Gabriel,

The transfers displaying 0 turns left all went through, so a “job well done” is in place. Thanks for fixing the system.
