Player rating system (the score they get in a match report) has been changed. The quality of the opponent is now taken in consideration. In other words, your players are expected to play well against weaker teams, so their score might not be that high if they don’t play very well, even if you still get the victory. The opposite is also true, playing against stronger teams your players will have to give their best and that may not be enough, sometimes they will get good ratings (they did well for their capacity) but that wasn’t enough to get a victory.

Overriding the board may be an option…I think there must be an exchange for that, like the board being more strict for a while when you override it (strict regarding rating the manager’s performance). In fact I believe a better improvement would be the player considering other factors while choosing the team where he’d go, like where is he more likely to be in the first squad (this is already planned).

yes plz! limiting the wages to what the boards want is kinda a disadvantages for the smaller teams. If we can only give 12k wages and bigger team 25k then they will go to the bigger team? abit more flexible please :)

Improvement : Minor adjustments on wage cap formula so that the club’s financial situation is now the most important factor.

This improvement means that we will not make some typing errors.
But also means that clubs with more financial power always take the best players… It doesn’t allow us to take any risk…

Would u rethink or make the limit more flexible, so that sometimes we can override the board decision… ( That way we could avoid the typing errors too)

@Blakos: It is not working yet, we’ll announce it in the improvements topic when it’s done.
@Dhimitri: correct, the penalty for playing in the wrong position is 3 in all attributes. I agree with you about the implementation, young players should adapt to a new position easily.

So, to clarify this, a player loses 3 points in all attributes if he plays outside the position?

BTW, for implementation, if a player goes to a position transition period, a 50-60 games limit should be better than a 100 for him to complete the transition. Als0, if a player is 17-20 yo the transition should be much easier than in an older ages :)

Is it already working this possibility? I have a DC with great attacker skills and would like to know if its wise to put him in AC position or not.

Wage cap is now at a more reasonable level. Besides getting a more realistic value allowed by the Board we will prevent mistakes like extra zero’s in the wage value or misunderstandings between transfer price and player wage.

Looks like a mistake. I’ll fix the player wage and add a warning message when the wage offered is outrageous ;)

Seems the manager hired him on high wages and left the club to go broke?

alban, you r right when u r running away from them. But when u are running into opponents, ur speed will most likely be a factor to get u a free kick more often.

Hmm…looks like when you have a squad full of 90+ dribblers, you will win just because the oponents will get a couple of red cards + penalties !!

Regarding speed – what are the benefits of it ? I thought that if I have players with high speed and control, they will be “untouchable” because the opponents wont run as fast as they do =)

In the First Round of La Liga there were some strange results, 9 out of 10 matches were tied,
there was only one match that the result was not a tie. that was Getafe-Sevilla where Getafe won 3-0 other than that everyone ended up 0-0, 1-1, or 2-2

I think this event is a first in RubySoccer where 9 matches were tied in 1 ROUND!!!

We could create sticky topics for each div and add links to them from inside the game as a start, how does that sound?

I’m not sure if it’s the best way to say this, but anyway…the number of fouls depends on dribbling vs tackling and aggressiveness. Of course the number of fouls is still unrealistic, but if that happens it probably means the opponent tackling skill was really poor compared to your dribbling, or their players were too agressive or they were using hard tackling strategy or any combination of these options :)
Regarding your second question, if a player can reach the opponent, slow or not, he will be able to tackle him.

The quality of players on loan list is based on the community and what people are willing to loan out. I could not justify loaning out any player that I could reasonably consider starting that means that the players who I personally would consider are going to be the players who are not good enough for my starting 11. With that being said, if you are in a lower division there is a good chance that you can improve your line up by loaning players from other clubs, but the loaning clubs are going to get the benefits of it in the long run. It is effective to start up a club from the bottom of a lower division, but I can’t see it being effective for clubs that are around the top of their country. I have 9 loaned players at the moment but I am looking to develop more youth players and buy new players. I do not see the need to put a limit on loaning players because everyone can loan the same players and it is better for you to own players then loan players from other teams in the long run.

Simply adding a section of the forums for each Div would be enough to satisfy me at this time. I just want to be able to have communication between other players in my division, I’m currently in England Div.1 and I would like to be able to talk to other managers in the Div, point out things like Birmingham City 10-0 victory over Cardiff City. The news paper with articles and such would be nice but a simple forum would be a start to allow players to talk to each other.
