I agree with the manager reputation in both cases (managersim had those things), but I disagree about the financial punishments. Sure we’re penalizing the teams, but that’s what happens in real life when bad managers are running some teams.

Besides, it’s a manager job to take a team out of bankruptcy, to make a team arise from the shadows, rebuild it. It takes time, but it’s fun. when I played CM I loved to get a team in 2nd division and improved until I win everything.

Furthermore, I think that there won’t be too much punishment, as no one wants to loose money for something stupid like puttting a guy on transfer and cancel it.

If there’s something that’s really annoying is when a manager puts a player on transfer and, after we offer the value he’s asking, the manager raises the price or simply remove the player of the transfer list.

Besides the fact that it’s irritating and unethical, sometimes it’s a problem, too, because we stop looking for another player or give up on another transaction because we found the “right guy”.

I think we shouldn’t forbid it, but the manager should receive a very expensive punishment, maybe 10% of the price that the manager was asking (when he cancels the transfers) or 10% or 20% of the diference between the old and the new prices. The punishment would be apllied, of course, only if someone offers the previous asked price.

What do you think about it, guys?

Gabriel,

Maybe this rule could be a little different, as some players ask for a contract a little earlier… Besides, sometimes is still difficult to decide if a player with 78 in a main stat will be a good player or not. Maybe this rule could be not for players in the youth academy, but for players until 19 or 20 years (maybe 20 is a little high, 19 should be better).

I said in person to Danilo some days ago, that I think this is the most important thing to improve/change right now. I believe that the problem isn’t just he wing plays, but the “all running together thing”. Today, every player goes after the ball, so we have 4, 5 guys fighting for it… That’s because everybody use players in the center, because if you use the sides the player with the ball has to face 3, 4 markers and, obviously, loses the ball.

If the players start marking per zone, I think the wing play will start working, because once you have a wing player, the opponent will have to place a guy on the side to mark him.

In fact, I think the problem is that the long shots are too much accurated and then everybody shoots from a long distance and usually scores. I think that’s the reason we’re having so much goals and 4×4 , 5×5 games. If this long accuracy becomes worse, than maybe people will start using medium and short shooting and the number of shots will decrease.

Another thing that I noticed… It appears that players and heading the ball from long distances, too… and they scores! (My team did that in tha last game in Fast ticker – Zaragoza 3 × 2 R. Huelva). I think this could not happen, as we don’t see players heading from long distances in real life!

A bug happened in the medium ticker reinicializing… The last game which appears for me (Corinthians 2 × 1 Internacional), in turn 144, is from a season diferent of the last one. My last friendly was against São Paulo and, if I try to access it by the mail, a message of “file not found” appears.

It’s not a big deal, but it’s a little bug.

Cheers,

Rodrigo.

I agree. Besides, I think the wage limit allowed by the board is too high and still allows unrealistic wages.

I think we should to be more careful about that, ’cause this fact was one of the main problems in MS.

Good to know, ’cause I was trying to make an offside trap using the new individual tactics ( a fair one, instead of playing with zero players in defence… kkk ). For the register, it worked fair well except when a rebound happened. :-)

Cheers!

PS: If you want to check the facts, the game in which I did was Santos 1 × 2 Corinthians, medium ticker, league game.

Please forgive me if someone has already talked about this before, but I was watching my game replay today and notice what appears to be a bug in mistake about the offside rule:

In several times, when my opponent shot from long distance, the ball somehow came back (defended by the keeper or have hit the bar) and another of his attackers got the rebound, this attacker seemed to be offside in the moment of the first shot.

I don’t know if it’s the frame velocity of the simulation, but my impression was that the game isn’t considering this kind of situation. Am I correct?

Cheers,

Rodrigo.

There’s another thing that has to be considered when the game’s logic is ready: some managers are playing without players in their defence. As a example we can mention Cruzeiro, in Medium ticker and Botafogo, Vasco and Atlético MG in Fast ticker. The worst thing is: it works! Atletico MG won Brazilian’s cup playing in that way.

Besides, usually the 0-7-3 or 0-6-4 that are used has defenders playing the the middle and what happens is that the opponent stays offside like 25 or 30 times during the entire game.

There has to be a punishment for it, as it doesn’t happen in real life…

I agree with Philipp. But heading, could be used as a second abililty, like the jumping on Football Manager. Speed should be important, too.

After the first match, besides the high number of heading goals, what I saw is that another thing has to be changed: the players have to start passing the ball to the wingers, ‘cause the ball is passed almost every time in the center. I don’t know if it happened only in the game I saw (I’ll watch more)

The other thing that needs change I hope that can happen with the individual tatics: the players have to stop running together to the same ball and start playing in sectors. This will force managers to stop putting every player at just one line in the center…

Gabriel, you said that you’re working to improve the player marking… is this improvement related to this “all running together”?

Cheers!

I don’t know why, but my team got back to normal in this season. Can it be explained?

And Javier, my attackers have good other stats, too, and the problem is that in the last season they suddenly stop scoring. In fact, my main attacker had been the top scorer in the season before. Did he forget how to score?

It happened with all attackers and only in official games. Ver strange!

Thank god it’s not happening anymore!!

I have some other things to say about the game’s dynamic , but I’ll open an other topic for that. The new heading ability deserves it!

What the hell can be happening with my Corinthians in Medium Ticker? In the last 10 games, my team only scored in 2 games! I’ve done all the possible changes on the formation, used long, medium and short shooting and the things just don’t get better.

And before anyone says that the problem is with my players, I should say that one of them is 95 in shooting and he’s the last season top scorer! Besides, I also have a 84 and two 82. The team usually finishes a lot and most on them are on target!

One more curiosity: mey team scores in the friendlies… In one of them I played my the best attacker and suprise: he scored six times.

Would it be a bug? Or am I just the most unlucky guy in Brazilian Serie A at this moment?

On the other hand, in the same last 10 games, my gk was beaten only once!!!

Any ideas??

Gabriel, I don’t know if you guys can do it, but at first I should say that this value, ath this moment, should be lower in medium than in fast. I say that because the medium player market is still weak and the only way to make money is spending a lot less money than you earn.

I have a big team and I spend only 160,000/week in wages. It’s not real paying to coaches+scouts+physios a lot more than you pay for players. Besides, if I earn in a very very good week only 800,000 (and I have a big stadium for the medium ticker and, as I’m in the fourth place of the game ranking on Brazil , I am probably earning a lot more in sponsors and products selling than the majority), how in the world could I spend 900,000/week or even 600,000?

Would it be possible to do a research in teams incomes and find out how much does the richer one earn? So, if we find out that this value is $1 million, than we could fix that, to have a department at 100% will cost 500.000 (50%).

PS: I stopped playing CM for the same reason.

It remembered me when I played soccer in little courts and the goalie lauched the ball through all the court until it reaches the attacker! In Rubysoccer, when this didn’t happen, then the defender passed the ball to the center midfield and then he passed to the center attacker! Besides, Gabriel was right some time ago previewing that every player would be running after the ball, it was hilarious! And what some miracle saves made by the Gks!! They’re rocks!!!

Now, talking serious, I noticed other things (because I had players playing at the center). In my game there was no play on the sides, I felt like was playing without at least 2 players, since my left and right wings didn’t saw the ball’s colour! They were use completely useless…

I noticed another middle problem, too, the gaps between the middle and the defence… You must have someone playing in D C +1 and another in M C -1, or you’ll have a huge hole. However, I must say that my defender playing in DC -1 was playing very well anticipating the attackers and stealing the ball.

I suggest that the game has an strategy configuration (similar to Managersim or better) that could tell a player where he has to play… With the ball, for example, you go forward and left (to be better tham MS, he could take short or long runs). Without the ball, you have to cover an area… This one could solve the hole problems.

As a lat observation, I think we should think about how quick the engine changes should happen. I don’t know how you guys are going to do it, but like was said there’s a lot to do… and if we wait and the changes didn’t work? I think you could do a little research to see what players think of it, but I think that a change in the engine (unlike the changes in players side and positions) affects everybody equally. Just warn us about what was changed (and which is the intention) and we’ll be prepared. What do you think?

Cheers!

I’ve done some research in Brazilian Serie A (medium ticker)and I think that is something that should be analised:

I don’t know if it’s happening in other leagues, but I’ve noticed that in Brazilian Serie A, the formations that are hardly (or less) used in real soccer are functioning better than the usual ones.

Defensively, I’ve seen a lot of teams playing in 5-4-1, 4-5-1, 5-3-2 and even 6-3-1. The last one, besides really really unusual, is doing a lot well in America-RN. America won even the game against Palmeiras, which is a lot better than the other ones (It hurts to say that since Corinthians is my favourite team).

For those who don’t like playing defensively, the 3-4-3 have been the most used and funcional formation.

So, why the usuals 4-4-2, 3-5-2, 4-3-3 and their variations are not working that well, since they should be the most balanced ones? Is this happenning in the other leagues?

In time: In the last game I’ve changed my formation to 5-3-2 and my team played far better than it was.

Wouldn’t be interesting if the side thing could start at the end of the league games and not just at the beggining of the next season? In this way teams woudn’t be playing valid games anymore and we could still make some friendlies to see how the teams will perform with the side thing working.
