FastTicker’s season tick surprise!
When FastTicker’s new season start in about 12 hours you’ll see the first of many interesting additions that represents the growth of RubySoccer. You may not see that right after entering the dimension, but if you navigate through our icons you’ll end up finding something new on a few pages. Let’s see who will be the first one to notice and post something in our Improvements Discussion topic ;)
p.s.: Even though I’ve exhaustively tested this during the week something can always go wrong when you put a new feature in the real environment. If something does happen I ask you guys to be patient cause any problem will be fixed as soon as we are available.
I’ve played against Fortaleza twice this season, both matches on Série A. I can proudly say that anyone could have won those matches but the advantage of playing at home was decisive. On my home ground I won 3 × 1 and I lost on their stadium 1 × 0. Ribas was the one to score for Fortaleza. This guy is a threat, there is no doubt!
There is not much I can say about Napoli, but their manager deserves our respect. On season 18 he has broken an incredible league title series from Genoa. They can certainly stand the challenge against the brazilian team!
If I had to guess, I’d go with Fortaleza. If my squad can’t be there at least I’ll support the team from my country ;)
P.S. We are currently planning the newspaper. It may take a while but I believe it will be worth waiting for it.
All over valued players on FastTicker had their values recalculated. It was necessary to bring the values back to a realistic level and allow players to be transfer listed for a reasonable amount.
I started with the youth academy cause I’m afraid of superstar youths all over the world as we used to have. Let’s see how it goes, 19 should be fine as well.
We’d have to check the whole card history of the player, unfortunately there is no easy way to do that :(
This limit is something we can test, DaMaGo. I’ll add this enhancement to our list.

youth player = player in the youth academy
2x points for every type of match: 2 for friendlies, 6 for league and cup, 8 for Sudamericana and UEFA, 10 for Libertadores and CL and 12 for Club World Cup
I’d like to clarify the latest changes on youth improvement system. We have received some complaints that youths were improving too slow. In response to that we’ve changed the system to allow a faster improvement for youth players.
On season start, all the players that are not fully developed receive some potential points that will be earned as they play matches and get experience. In the average they receive 10% of their total potential, which gives them something around 14 skill points to be distributed in all skills during improvements. Youths now receive 20% of their potential in the average instead of 10%.
Besides that we doubled the number of experience points youth players earn after playing a match. This will make they improve twice as fast as they were before.

I have to agree, even though I like the current system there is no point in ignoring group positions. I’ll add an enhancement for that. ;)
Hmmm, that’s odd. Did you look at the players cards page or just the players skills page where the next match cards are displayed? If it’s the second option, wasn’t there a friendly match to be played before your league match? In this case no cards would be displayed since there are no cumulative cards for friendlies.
You’re now able to undo your selection for fk, ck and pk takers. I still have to investigate why the wrong player is being selected though.

Improved youth development.
Youth players will receive twice as much potential points on season start and twice as much experience from matches. This will result in faster improvement while they’re in the youth academy, helping managers to identify potential stars earlier. As always, your feedback is very important to us.

So far our decision is to keep things as they are and create a new dimension when necessary. If the old dimensions are really messed up people will naturally move to the new one. Of course it’s still possible that the old dimensions get to a point where a reset will be inevitable, but I don’t fell we’re there yet.

Unfortunately there is no way to tell whether or not you were on vacation mode :(
I’ll double check just to make sure, but the rule is every youth player whose contract is expiring will be hired if you’re on vacation mode, unless you already have 30 players including those loaned in and loaned out.
It would be logical, but not on RubySoccer! :D
Here the logic is best (in terms of team quality on season start) against worst, second best against second worse and so on. I’m not saying it’s better, it’s just the way things work right now.
Dave, did you have room for the youth on your team? If you already have 30 players (including loaned players) the youths will leave.

About not being able to remove the free kick players you’re right, we need an option there for it.
We could do that, but for sure it won’t be ready for next season :)
Thanks Jakob! I agree with you when you say you should go directly to the currently active round, will fix that soon. About the topscorer table you’re right, this has been reported already and we’ll take care of that as well. The data is stored, we’re just not dislplaying it correctly ;)
The two bugs are not related. The top scorers table is not correct for international cups, it’s not showing the group phase goals. Don’t worry, it’s just a matter of adding them up, the statistics are in our database, they’re just not being displayed correctly. I’ll fix that soon ;)

The consequence of playing him on defense will be -3 on each skill during the match.
It does exist Luc. When your team balance becomes negative, your departments are automatically decreased until the balance becomes positive again (first scouting, then physioterapy and coaching). If that’s not enough your players will be automatically “sold” by a fair amount and disappear from the game. That will happen first with the transfer listed player, then with the one with highest wages. They will be sold until the balance is positive or you reach the minimum of 14 non youth players. If after all this you’re still negative, you’ll be fired, the team finance will be reset as well as the player wages.
A help page would be good to explain that :)

Unfortunately I’ll have to clear all red cards, some players that should not be suspended anymore did not have their cards cleared due to the tick error.
It was bugged, not anymore :)

Currently agressivenes has just negative effects, but the impact is not that high. Even on normal or easy tackle modes a player with higher aggressivenes is more likely to commit fouls than a player with low aggressiveness. We had already received some suggestions to expand the role of this attribute to include some positive effects (and maybe increase the negative a little bit to compensate). It’s something to think about in the future :)
