We used to allow scouting of specific players instead of using scout searches as we have now. The direct scouting could be too powerful sometimes (assuming you had a high scouting level and the player was not too young)…maybe we can bring it back in a different form where it doesn’t give you straight numbers on all the players skills or maybe gives you an indication on the main skill only?
The rating system is changing and has been updated for GKs and Ds, nothing changed in the actual performance, just the way we calculate the ratings. Maybe it’s now oversimplified for GKs and 3 goals are sometimes enough to bring the score to a very low value. Now that I’m working on Ms rating I had a better idea to try and keep the ratings more realistic, let’s see if I can apply that to GKs as well.
You will not be able to buy him unless his morale becomes Critical
When, and if, that happens the player will be transfer listed automatically
The players morale is stated as Bad. Like i said, ive bought players who arent listed before and had no problem, however with this player nothing is happening.
The only way to buy a player is if the player is transfer listed
If bid for a non-listed player the only way the transaction is completed is if the player’s morale becomes Critical (usually only happens if you bid for a player with Bad morale), in which case the player will be listed anyway after the bid is accepted (and usually for 2x his Estimated Value)
Also, a bid is never declined. Unless the targeted player has his contract renewed, the bid will just sit there (hurting the targeted player’s morale, and beware, also your own players’ morale…)
What is his morale status? Is he already critical?
No but ive bought players who arent on the transfer list before and the transfer has been concluded on the next tick. Two days have passed now and the transfer appears to be in limbo, neither accepted or declined.
Is the player on the transferlist?
So a couple of days ago i put a bid in for a player on Fast ticker, offered a wage over what the player asked for but the transfer is still dragging on and not completing. Ive never experienced this before and normally a transfer is completed once the game moves forward a tick unless u need to increase the wage in which case the transfer is completed after the next tick.
Is this a bug cos it seems like the transfer has become stuck.
You can do it on your own players.
Click on the players name
Hit coach report and it’s the second one down evolution profile?
That sometimes tells you all you need to know.
I have another question about wage negotiation. In mediumticker my starplayer needs a new contract. His wage is 97k and he’s 100% happy with that wage. The suggested wage is also 97k. So I offer him the same wage.
I was suprised he was asking 114k. Since he’s my best player I don’t want to loose and accepted his wage offer. How is it possible he wants 20% more but the status report says he’s happy?
Alfonso Teijeiro
wage : 114639
suggested wage: $97,404
maximum wage allowed: $194,808
contract length (in seasons)
current wage: $93,231
previous offer: 1 seasons, $97,405
What is the impact of player’s ability to handle pressure?
Is it something like players with poor ability lose 3 skill points when playing away matches, players with good ability lose 0-1 pts?
Not only for my players in club but for all players in the game or just for free transfer/transfer list players.
Becouse I’d like to know what I’m buying ;)
Possible to do?
Regards,
Luke
The record from a GK (89) in a match was 1.1. And no card, nothing anormal. Crazy
What happen with the GK,s, that some matches seems that i don’t have GK? The AVG, sometimes 2.1, etc, etc. Something is wrong…
It will only go back to normal after something else triggers it. That can happen in one of the periodic updates for the teammates and wage status or if you make a transfer offer that impacts your players.
Great!
Just fyi, morale still hasn’t recovered (3 ticks since acquisition was completed). My guess is that it will go back to normal next tick
GK ratings are a bit too harsh, but conceding 9 goals in RubySoccer is not something you see everyday :-)
Midfielder ratings are still being adjusted and I think the number of fouls may have dropped the rating too much in that case. For the defender the focus is on tackle efficiency and that one failed all his tackle attempts and committed a foul as well. I can already see I’ll need to diversify the factors for defenders as I’m currently doing for midfielders, but I’d say it’s not too bad, in general.
Thanks Fabio, got it. I think the issue is we update the morale before deleting the transfer offers, so when it is recalculated the penalty is still there. Created a bug in our tracker to fix this.
Sent you a screenshot on Facebook
Another friendly http://rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/5484230
A defender gets 0.0 rating yet sets up a goal.
Are the settings too sensitive?
In another friendly http://rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/5484227 I had an outfield player get a 0.0 rating yet he made 100% of his passes. He didn’t play very well, but a 0.0 rating seems too harsh.
I played a friendly in the fast ticker http://rubysoccer.com/game/match_report/5484226 I won the game 9-0 and their GK got a 0.0 rating. He made some saves, I don’t see how his rating can be this low, granted he may not have had the best of games but to get a 0.0 rating surely he wouldn’t have made any saves?
My experience has been that it takes 2-3 ticks after I hired the player for the other players’ morale to go back to normal
I do not have a situation like that right now to take a screenshot, but I’ll send you one next time I do
Your players morale is only affected by existing transfer proposals for them or by your team’s transfer proposals for outsiders. Once a player is hired the morale effect the transfer proposal had on him and on your other players should disappear.
How long after a new player is hired will the other players’ morale recover?
Okay, I understand, otherwise the low ranked countries would never make it to the top. So for Germany it’s good to see that with the results of the previous years, the country moved up on the ranking. Now hope that the CPU teams will follow this development in order to make the next step.
I think it has to do with 2 things:
1) Match performance – every match counts, not only the round you reach. Visé probably got more points in the group rounds…
2) Average per team is what counts, not country total. Germany is “punished” for having 6 teams in intl cups (because most are CPUs…). I checked, and Stuttgart and Hamburger got almost no points for Germany, bringing the average down
How are the point for the country ranking being calculated. It seems a bit odd this year for Germany. Even now Germany has won the European League it delivered almost no extra points. With the country ranking becoming more important for player development, it’s important to have a clear calculation.
Belgium ended this year for example with ~36000 points, with 1 club (Visé) only reaching to the round of 16 of the finals of the Champions League. Germany had also 1 club reaching to the same round. So I expect at least the same score here. However, on top of that, Germany had also 1 club reaching to the same round in the European League and 1 even won the title! How come Germany ended with ~29.000 points only?!
Maybe it’s a bit harsh the way it is at the moment but it is possible for a player to refuse your offer without a counter offer, as long as your offer is below a given threshold that varies from player to player. The suggested wage is supposed to help with that, as long as you have a high enough level in the negotiations area of the club. When considering a new wage the player will look at his teammates to identify any players that he considers worse than him that are earning more, if he finds any this will bump up his asking wage.
I suppose there is a disconnect between the player status in relation to wage and his asking wage. The status wage will look at similar players outside your club. I’ll add a task for us to review both the negotiation process (maybe reduce the threshold so players won’t so easily reject your first offer) and the calculations around wage status and asking wage.
