What’s the spend a ruby wwidget in the upper left of player screen?
You will be able to change the names of your players for 1 ruby (each change) – as soon as paypal fixes our account :). Except by Bronson, who already has rubies due to the forum challenge.
i’ve added looking into this to our list, but we have to make it work for everyone before adding it back. unfortunately this is not at the top of our priorities, so it will take a while…
I liked the map, it worked fine on my mobile! It’s a lot duller without it
In addition to that I believe there is a slight exaggeration overall for the scout results in some occasions. I need to investigate further and fix that. Not to say that coach reports will be 100% accurate, but it happened multiple times to me that the coach report was much lower than the scout report, which led me to do some sanity checks and find this issue.
We actually removed it, because it doesn’t work well on all mobile devices. The list should be enough to get to any desired country.
There is a note in scouting window:
“For Potential Skill type of scout searches there is no guarantee the player will reach or exceed the estimated potential. The likelihood increase if the player is older or if the current value for the skill is close to the value searched, but 100% accuracy is never guaranteed.”
In RubySoccer you can’t buy “new” or “better” scouts :(
Hi, the world map isn’t showing up on my mobile? There’s just links to the counties.
Hi,
I had some Scout reports provide me with players with good projected stats. I bought them and ran Coach reports.
The Evolution Stage Coach reports then showed significantly less projected stats. Am I doing something wrong? Are my scouts useless? Can I buy better scouts?
Regards,
Now it is :)
We have a new layout for the formation screen specifically to mobile devices. You don’t drag players anymore, you tap on an empty position in the field and a wheel should come up with G, D, M and A. Tapping on a position will open a dialog box with your players for that position, tapping the player puts him in the field.
In order to remove a player you just tap on him and a dialog should appear for confirmation. Clicking OK removes the player from the field. This is not currently working for goalkeepers.
Just saw a defender in my default formation was injured.
Am on my mobile phone, went to formation screen. The players listed off the field were missing. So i had noone to drag onto the field to replace my guy.
I moved my D L to D C. And just found that i played a game with only 10 players. Faark.
A prototype for the mobile version of the formations screen has been deployed.
You can now tap an empty field position, and that will present you with a small wheel with four options – representing the possible playing positions of the player you would like to add to that field position.
Upon selecting a playing position from the wheel, a dialog will pop-up listing the players you have available for the selected position. The player you select on that dialog will be added to the field position which originated the event.
A player can also be removed from the field by tapping it and answering “OK” to the challenge question that will pop-up.
Please let us know if you find any bugs or have any suggestions. This is a prototype!
The actual offer you make (wage and transfer amount) has no influence over the player’s decision, but I recognise it should. Currently all that matters is how your team compares to the player’s current team in each of the five status areas. In the case of match participation and wage the player looks into how often similar players are used in your team in comparison to how much he is currently used and what is the wage of similar players in your team in comparison to his current team.
The only reason why the offer doesn’t matter (it definitely should) is because it is not a real commitment and people could try to exploit the system making absurd offers just to disrupt some good players from opponents. We may revisit that in the future to tie your offer somehow and force you to buy the player in case he accepts, but even then I can see some troubling scenarios, but that could be handled by punishing abusers.
No logic exists when a player comes back from injury and there is no hidden health potential (sorry to disappoint). With the new player traits feature some players will develop features making them more or less prone to injuries, and that’s both match and training injuries. Currently injuries are very simplistic and are something we may expand a bit more in the future.
“Lots more injuries lately, just want to know if there is any nuances I should take into consideration.”
Why do you ask, did someone break a leg? ;)
I think every player has hidden health potential. I’ve got one player with minimum 2 or 3 injury per week. Other one have health like a horse. So it’s just a lottery what kind of players do you have in team.

COYR!
Hi,
so does this mean that my weekly contract to the player must be great for him to consider moving?
Do I need to care about the Transfer fee that I offer? Does it have to be just his current value?
Regards,
Not that I want to encourage it, but if a player returns from injury, is there any game mechanics going on in his first match back?
Lots more injuries lately, just want to know if there is any nuances I should take into consideration.

The new Newspaper is ready to go! I’ll start allowing managers to write news articles based on the responses to the poll we’ve done some time ago. Once this is done I hope we can start getting a few articles published pretty soon.
As a reader the new screen has two main filters: language and country. They come pre-populated based on the language you use to access the game and country you play in. When looking at a specific country’s newspaper you’ll see all the news published that are relevant to that country, to that country’s continent and globally.
The old template-based newspaper has been hidden for now and will be re-activated in the future in addition to this one. We have some work to do on that one so that automatically generated news are interesting enough for readers. For now, enjoy our Newspaper and, as always, share your feedback in the forums, Facebook or via in-game messages.
The intention behind the waiting period is so that managers don’t keep generating it continuously in order to try and guess the most approximate value based on all estimates given by the coaching team. I agree it makes sense to re-generate if you’ve changed your player’s “main” position, but for now you need to wait 36 turns (I think) between Evolution Stage reports for the same player. Assuming their two main skills are close you can expect the final value to be close as well, if that gives you any consolation :-)
Hello,
Once an Evolution Stage report is generated, there is a long time before I can re-request it again?
I have some players that play multiple positions, DA, MA, MD, etc. There is an option to change their position order, from MA to AM for example. Does this have any effect?
When I do this, it would be great to generate a new Evolution Stage report in order to see their main skill for their new position.
I am assuming that this all makes sense, and that it makes sense in the game world.
Thanks,
When we transition from points to money you will be able to do upgrades (and downgrades when applicable) during the whole season.
Sounds logical and good for me. Time to put this all things in the game ;)
One question to be sure; “New investments” will be avaliable whole season or only at the beginning, just right now?
Thanks Fabio for proposition but I’ve got similiar attackers in my squad already.
I’m looking for really good rocket! Someone like Neymar, Lewandowski or Assombalonga xP

Luke,
Take a look at Delfim Alves

Not a kid, but good skills and reasonable price
Hello fellow managers! Along with the newspaper changes I’ve also been planning the new model for investment areas, where money will be used instead of points to upgrade and maintain them. I decided to post some draft rules here to gather some feedback before starting the actual work:
-Each investment area will have a level between 0 and 10 (no change here)
-No area can have a level greater than the stadium level (e.g.: if you have stadium and coaching at level 7 you can’t go to level 8 with coaching without upgading the stadium to level 8 first)
-In order to upgrade an area the club has to spend money (e.g.: $2M to upgrade coaching from 4 to 5)
-In order to maintain an area at a certain level the club will have to pay an upkeep value every financial period (3 turns), for example $200k to maintain coaching at level 5.
-You will be able to temporarily downgrade an area by 1 level and increase that level later on without paying the upgrade cost again (e.g.: reduce coaching from 8 to 7 to save some money and then a few turns later increase it back)
-If an area is temporarily downgraded for too long the downgrade becomes permanent and any further upgrades will cost money as usual (e.g. you reduce coaching from 5 to 4 temporarily and then has 36 turns to move it back to 5 for free)
-You can only choose to downgrade an area if the club is in a bad or critical financial situation (or using the rule above)
-Instead of points, clubs will earn money prizes based on the final position in each competition (exact value yet to be defined and discussed), this should help with the new expenses related to the investment areas
Questions? Suggestions? Concerns?
As above. Propositions, please submit at the NFFC headquarter. There’s 10M on table ;)
PS: Offers from computer managers also welcome xD

Luke

Just did the exact math. I’ve converted what you had in points from last season into what that value would be with just the 5 investment areas we have now and compared that to the number of points you’ve got in the current season and the conclusion is you’ve lost 9 points. Last season you finished 2 positions below what you finished in the previous season, but went a couple rounds further on CL, same finishing position in the league. League position makes the most difference in terms of points, so that could explain it. I’m not sure what your country’s position was in the last couple seasons, but if it lost spots in the ranking that would also negatively impact your total number of points.
From what I can see it is what Fabio explained. You previously had Transfer budget and transfer to budget levels set to 5, so by taking this out of the equation in the new season it will look like that you lost more points than you would’ve if those two areas still existed. In any case, not to worry, hopefully in a season or two you’ll be using money, not points, to manage your investment areas.
there isn’t any more transfer budget
I finished 3rd, I won national cup and I was in semi-final of CL, and I lose 21 investment points….
it seems too much….
