I’d go directly to just transfers but that’s just me…

It would probably be best to open on the transfers but I like the idea of opening all. Be interested to see other opinions.

Another phase of the player status and non-listed offers feature has just been deployed! Every player’s overall status has been reset to 50% but they will be slowly updated as changes happen and offers are made. All players will now have their match participation status updated, including youths, retiring, goalkeepers and cpu-managed players.

The morale concept has been replaced by the status concept and the tab where you used to see your players morale now display statuses. Having low match participation will no longer impact match performance or influence other players morale and will no longer be the sole criteria for a player deciding not to renew contract.

When a player receives interesting transfer offers and he is not transfer listed, his overall status will decrease. When you make transfer offers to non listed players your players’ overall status may also decrease. Once the player status reaches 0 he will request to be transfer listed and will not accept contract renewal proposals. This may be too conservative but it’s better to start this way and evaluate what happens.

Transfer offers to non listed players cannot be made if the player has renewed the contract in the last 72 turns and all non listed offers are dropped once the player contract is renewed. We are yet to do some changes so that the wage asked by players on renewal is affected by the offers against him and also by offers being done by his own team.

CPU teams do not participate in this yet, meaning they will not yet react to unsolicited offers and will still be able to renew contracts when overall status is 0. That will change in the next update.

As usual, all feedback is welcome.
Cheers

The rules for national teams are very simplistic at the moment. You’re fired if you don’t achieve your goals in the continental cup or if you don’t overachieve in the world cup. The only exception is if you win the world cup you’re not fired, even if your goal was to win it, as there is no way to overachieve :-)

It can definitely be improved so thanks for the suggestions. Player names were changed due to the new layout, as the full name usually didn’t fit in smaller screens and we had some line breaking and scrolling. We can trial shrinking text or removing /rearranging attributes so that it fits back in.

Ranking players by age is a no-brainer and I’m pretty sure it was just missed in the layout transition. Regarding Fabio’s last suggestion of one less click, what should we open by default when you go to the TL? Just transfer? All types (transfer, free and loan)?

I’ll add these and any further suggestions in this topic to our list of improvements.

Considering I won every match with England since being hired and my goal in the WC was to reach the Semi Finals (at least that’s what I recall…), why was I fired from England?

I don’t mind, would probably leave the team any way, I am asking more out of curiosity…

PS: Once I was fired from Belgium for losing in the first match, although my goal was only to “improve the squad”, which I read as “we won’t fire you no matter what!”…

I use my PC and like it in general. I’d like to see full names as well (if possible) and also to rank players by age

Also, when we go to the TL, we could be directed straight to the TL instead of having to select TL/Loans/FT – one less click!

Hi, I’ve been looking at buying players and noticed the transfer list is hard to look at. I think this should be one of key parts of the game.

It used to be better but since we have the new layout style it’s completely changed.

Some ideas:
Bring back both player names
Shrink the text so more fits in?
Or remove some skills, like some of the secondary ones.

I use my iPhone to play this game so I’m not sure if others have this issue.
Cheers

You get this message when the sum of the new offer you’re trying to make with all the existing transfer offers you have is greater than your transfer budget. Let me know if that’s not the case and we’ll investigate.

New potential bug (not sure if it is one):

I keep getting messages from my board that “your offer is too high” when making unsolicited offers for human team’s players

This is happening in both worlds. Most recently, on Fast, I got this when bidding $6m for a player with estimated value of $3m. The player is 20ys old so I think the offer is totally justifiable. I have +$50m in cash and +$15m in transfer budget. I also offered $35k in salary, the player currently makes $20k. Why is this happening?

It’s a known issue, that’s for sure! We randomly distribute first placed teams against second placed teams, without considering whether they were in the same group. In terms of international competitions we need to fix that and improve the country distribution in the group phase.

You guys should meet in the final as usual! :-(

Hi, I’ve just played Malaga in my group and now we play each other in the knock out straight after?? I’m scared I’m going to be knocked out! Must be a bug! Lol

Seems to be working fine now, thanks!

Btw, great initiative to allow mangers to make unsolicited offers – I can point to at least 3 big transactions that would not have happened otherwise. The market is much more active now!

Yeah, didn’t make the players very smart on such decisions :-)
The weakest team tie breaker served two purposes: increase the chance of a player being played in official matches AND helping weaker teams.

Thanks for the explanation! My expectation of how the new training system would work and would impact players choices was different.

Especially for the players that can only improve this season by playing matches in the top 3 countries or in a country that’s at least ranked 3 positions higher then the players home country. I expected the player to be smart and to choose automatically for a club in one of these high ranked countries. Especially if the players home country is ranked already in top 10 for example.

Good to know you can’t leave this decision up to the players. That’s probably also the reason why you created the option to reduce the number of clubs. So at least as a manager you can influence the players choice by raising the bar for the variable that selects automatically the weakest team.

(Just for my understanding: you’ve probably created this ‘weakest team’ rule, to give weak clubs an option to improve as well)

I am getting the same error page basically every time I try to make an offer. More recently it happened when trying to make an offer for players of my former team, and a player currently loaned to me

The logic is highest wage percentage, then longest loan period, then weakest team bidding. In terms of improvement if he only needs to play matches he’ll improve equally fast in any team, otherwise it depends on what is the player requirement. Did you set up anything specific in your loan clauses such as team playing international competitions or from higher ranked countries?

What’s the logic behind the choice players make to join a club on loan? Now one of my players got the chance to join a club in the premier league of Spain/ Portugal and England. Much higher ranked leagues then the German league I’m in. Compared to the current players in their squads my player would definitely be part of the team and play matches. The experience of playing matches in one of the high ranked countries might even lead to some skill development. So why would this player choose for a club in Peru? A country that’s just a bit higher in rank than Germany.

Vocês ainda não perceberam que nas tabelas as siglas estão invertidas em português???

D = Empate
E = Derrota

Dá prá corrigir por favor

All you said is correct (the 35 minutes thing can be less, but that’s a safe number). Interesting suggestion, funny nobody thought about it for player development before morale was implemented. Well, I guess that’s because everybody played friendlies like crazy to develop their players before “training” came into the picture.

Anyway, added to our list! Let’s see if others have more improvement suggestions for the formation rules.

Doubling is fine, the restriction will remain there just to prevent some ludicrous values that would render a team useless too quickly.

If you say ‘replace x by y after minute 45 when ahead’ and the team scores 1-0 in minute 60, at that moment the substitution will take place, right? And for development or morale, a player needs to play at least 35 minutes in a match, correct?

If this is both correct, ‘after minute 45 before minute 55 when ahead’ would be nice.

An MA or AM player can play without any penalties on any M or A position, so nothing to worry on that front. We leave it to the owner of the player to decide how he wants the player position to be presented and it mainly impacts in which list the player is displayed when building your formation. If we allowed the international squad manager to change it, then the player owner would see the position swapped, most likely against his/her will :-)
