I experienced this same problem in my latest match. I was lucky to get a draw out of the match because there was one of my most important defenceman missing. And there was another player called Jones in the squad this time too so that must have caused the problem somehow. The opponents striker was always free in the middle of my defence as I started the match lacking one player.

i have a young lad who has played 12 friendlies 3 league premier games and rated 10
scored 18+ goals and is 17 with 80 shooting but isnt gaining anything since i got him

Idk if this has been asked before, but how long (how many games) does a player retain a single yellow card for?
The criteria for selecting the team where the loaned player goes is highest wage percentage, longer period, weakest squad, in this order. An option to select the team would be unfair, but we plan to have some loan clauses to help, like minimum coaching level, minimum official matches played, etc.
Is the team where the loaned player goes selected automatically? If so maybe an option to choose where your player goes would be a good idea, i mean as in an accept loan agreement tab or something similar.
My two cents:
- For the people who would’t accept a reset based on “all my hard work”, please remember we are BETA testers, allowed to play freely to help the development. A fair trade. If a reset is needed, consider the developers work much harder than you and shouldn’t stuck on selfish opinions.
- I think a reset (partial ou total) should be done when implementing a full pack of enhancements, mainly on the AI of the game. It’s not just player values or disbalance of teams, but tactics, game results, computer managed teams and a few other things that need to improve. This reset must happen when developers are quite OK with how the game is doing. I don’t think it’s the case now.
- Perhaps, when it comes to time of a reset, the best solution should be a new dimension. Naturally, managers will migrate to new one, once they believe it’s a better game. And old games will empty, remaining a few managers who don’t wanna let go their precious hard-worked teams.

We have received some complaints about this and we think we can improve the system. Youth players should improve a little bit faster, making it easier to tell whether or not he will become a good player. After being promoted to the regular squad things could go back to the speed we have now.

well, it depends on the quality of players you have… and the strategy that you think is good for them… but then the only thing i can say you is i am also learning the formation thing the hard way :[ and in that process, losing a number of games…

I know the way the players improve has been changed and i generally approve of this. I’ve noticed that my youth players doesn’t seem to improve at all, even though they play a lot of friendlies. I understand that with the new system, friendly matches doesn’t give that much experience any more, but this way there will be almost zero chance of developing new youth players!?
I find it a bit unrealistic that the young lads improves this slowly. I will use my own player “Davide Brollo” as an example. He’s played 22 friendlies, 3 serie A and a single cup match and has improved perhaps i skillpoint in total!? If this is the way it’s going to be, i’m worried that it will be extremely dificult to culture new youths.

There is a good possibility that, in future, we add different team behaviors… For example: all out attack if we are still losing after minute 80. Or all out attack all the time, for the craziest managers :D. But that is different from the regular field position tendency.

When Danilo said 2 squares it doesn’t mean the player will be limited to these squares during the match, but you can change the player position/mentality by 2 squares. For instance, a central midfielder on mentality 0 can be moved to M L 0, M LC 0, M RC 0, M R 0, M LC -1, M C -1, M RC -1, M LC +1, M C +1, M RC +1, A C -1 or D C +1 using the different tactics.
About the lack of players on corners I totally agree. We have an enhancement planned for that.
Something strange… I played last superliga tick, in medium ticker, and i lost with the last team of the league 4-1… In the round before, with the same tactic, only one player substituted, i won one of the best teams on the league 2-0.
I really think home and away differences are exagerated, if not in the number of loses and victories, at least on the number of goals… In real life one barely see a bottom team won a first team, for 4 goals it’s one in a thousand… and this happened to me reasonable times before… and i am not condescending with them.
EDIT: I think i found my flaw… i played with a youngster in the defence, that has good tackling… but bad header… i noticed this because three of the goals i suffered were from a header…
Although it was strange anyway, it makes more sense to me now! :)

limited to 1 or 2 squares, isn’t that kinda unrealistic? in real matches u see midfielders and sometimes attackers in your goal area to help. I watched some replay’s of my latest games and i see alot of corner against where i only have 1 or 2 defenders standing…Also with the corners i get, 2/3 attackers…wow…that won’t really help me score in a corner kick right?
i’m looking for young players to fill out my squad,
if any of you have players that i may be interested in it would be much appreciated,

Are your attackers positioned on mentality +1? Do they have advanced tactics telling them to move forward? Do you have defenders on mentality -1 or with move back instructions? These could be reasons for the statistics you presented.

i’ve been toying with my formation for a few games now and i can’t seem to get it to work, i think either 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 is a good formation to have to stop the gap inbetween my central defenders but then i seem to get beat by teams with a 4-5-1, 4-3-3, 3-4-3 formation,
does anyone have any tips or recommndations to help me on my way?

If you check the number of offsides against my team, they are always higher than that of the opponents. I am not complaining, but just curious, why?
Once even when my formation was 6-3-1 ( 6 defenders) i had more offsides than my opponent

Yeah i think one of the major points here is that they should increase more while they are in the “youth academy” atleast they did in Soccersim. The period of time they are in there should then maybe be changed so it goes from 3 months to 2 years or whatever is needed. After they leave “youth academy” the normal rules should apply for the remaining points they have left to develop. It makes youth players boring when they dont grow, much easier to buy more developed youths and spend valuable game time on them instead.
As i see youthplayers they should give an early signal on if they are worth counting on or not.
I am glad to hear you will look into this, because youths have went from the most exiting aspect in this game to the most boring.

im glad i read the forums a this confirms why i dont need to risk drawing a league game etc as the correlation between youth growth and risk seems to be close to zero.
Jacob, i agree one of the great things of these games is developing youth and finding the occasional bagain etc.
