I hope all my answers are accurate…here we go:

Youths will get a contract when they demand unless the team has reached the 30 players limit;
Contracts will be renewed automatically for 1 year, new wage being something around what the player would accept if you were negotiating with him;
No players will be put on TL or removed from it;

And I’ve just added that to the Concepts and Rules section of the game help :-)

What’s the routine of this mode?

I know it prevents from getting fired within 30 days. But what else i have to expect from this?

Will youths get a contract when they demand one?
Will player contracts be renewed automatically? For 1, 2 or 3 years?
Will player be put on TL for some (board) reason?
etc.

Hi guys

about increasing the number of stadium seats.

you’d create some sort of discount when we build more than 100 seats.

since the price is the same when we build 100 seats in four ticks or 500 seats in 20, eg, the player who construct 100 seats each 4 ticks will make more money than that who started a larger construction.

it happens because who builds only 100 seats will be able to use them just after 4 ticks, while the player who makes a long turn investment need to wait all the construction period without any increase in it’s field.

using the 20 ticks exemple, who makes small increases can use an increased stadium in two or three matches. it’s not a big advantage, but it’s an advantage.

if you don’t want to make long turn constructions cheaper, you’d liberate parts of the construction each 4 ticks. but I prefer discounts! :)

Among other ideas, we are thinking about a limit of team depreciation. In other words, the board would expect that you maintain a certain level of team quality – and avoid the sell of good players if you have reached the minimum level. But we still have to think about it all.

Me and Danilo are chatting at the moment. He suggested some rules to prevent such low prices on player transfers. The Board wouldn’t accept this kind of transfer anyway :-)

Cheaters will not ruin the fun of the game, they’ll only make us work harder to prevent them from achieving their goals.

It sort of ridiculous when a team buys a player for 12,000… then puts the guy he replaced on the transfer list at 10,000,000. And I am NOT saying that manager that purchased the “cut price” Fulham players cheated… far from it. He was just doing what he should do according to the rules. I’m just saying something is WRONG with that. There needs to be some sort of rule here. Clearly. Plainly. Obviously. The premiership is now basically a forgone conclusion. And I’ll be moving to a different team shortly.

All Fulham players were removed from the transfer list and the proposals were cancelled. Let’s wait for them to get back to me.

All contract proposals for Fulham players in FastTicker has been deleted, and all its players have been removed from the transfer list. Fulham manager is under investigation of having multiple accounts. He has already been contacted in-game for clarifications. We’ll get back when we hear from him. Let’s not convict anyone prematurely.

I had done a bid for Paul Picken from Fulham (fastticker). His transferprice is $241 837. It’s ridiculous. I had done a bid of $2 441 837 (a bit higher than his normal value). In the meanwhile I have cancelled my bid after seeing this message. I don’t want to negotiate with this manager untill I know more.
I think you have to stop all the transfers of a manager who is in an investigation (also in general).

Just wondering if anyone else here used to play Soccersim. I played in the 3 tick a day game and I know there are a couple of others from the Winnipeg Crew playing RubySoccer now as well. Lets hope we can get a good active community going here, after all that’s half the fun!

Just wondering if there is any team morale in the game? Things like firing players, guys sitting on the bench for a long time, bad team performances, etc could effect it.

Some users suggested we should give a manager the ability to swap the player’s positions (turn a DM into a MD for instance) so that he could be displayed in the “right” list on formations screen. Well, now it’s possible. A swap position action is available right beside the player position in the player info screen. Give it a try!

Not sure if you’d call it cheating or not… but there is a brand new manager in Fast ticker, England… Fulham… and he is selling top players for very low prices…

We don’t have any near term plans to improve the number of youths, but I don’t think this change would be hard to implement. The youth skills are generated based on the country performance in the international competitions. A country staying at the top of the ranking for a few seasons tends to generate better youths than the ones in the bottom of the ranking. The second factor to consider is the team division, first division teams get better youths than second division teams.

You’re absolutely right about higher difference when more countries are added. Using our current formula the base difference would be 9 at most if we had 20 countries. Expand that to 50 european plus 10 south american countries and we’d have 29 at most between the best and the worst countries. This gives room for even more countries from other continents. Of course this formula can change in the future if necessary, only time will tell :-)

Will it be possible to have ,ore than 6 youth players at 1 team ?
Do teams in countries with smaller divisions (Portugal, 16 teams) have more chances to get a star player than teams in large divisions ?
I think if you add more countries (if there are 20+), it will be essencial to change youth’s skills to higher difference.

A new global country ranking is now available. The continental rankings will be used to decide how many spots each country will have in the international competitions while the global ranking will be used to slowly change youth players quality. In order to create this global ranking the international score teams receive for wins and draws has been changed in a tentative to balance both continents. On MediumTicker the scores will be kept the same until next season as international competition have already started.

We have two goals with this global ranking:

1) Try to give an overview of your country performance worldwide;
2) Reduce the difference between youth players around the world (the base value for the skills were between 80 and 75, now they will be slowly increased to be between 80 and 77)

This is our first approach to global ranking. I’m pretty sure there are lots of other ways to do that and we’ll be happy to hear your suggestions to improve this in the future.

First of all welcome, Kwegert!

Your consistency suggestion is very interesting. Would it be like a hidden attribute? We have some ideas regarding player morale as well. The second suggestion would also add something to the game, but I’m afraid it will fit better when we have player attributes decreasing with age or resting.

Hey all,

Just new to the game but I figured I would put my two cents in. I am also an old SS vet and found the teams packed with superstar 19 year olds rediculous, but aside from that a fun little game. Now as far as player improvment goes, slowing things down is great, heaven most players seem to hit stride in their mid twenties. How about something to control player “consistency” in the background, some value that will affect how the players other attributes work during a match. Consistency could be something that grows with age or is liked with age somehow (player attrib for match = consistency-20+base attrib).

One other suggestion would be to have the classic “fails to live up to potential” player pop up occasionally. You know the type the wonderkid who ends up pubing too much and turns to a flop.

Great looking game anyway, good luck in the development.

I don’t think this functionality will be out there that fast. But everybody should start thinking about the ages of the team players right now. You guys don’t have to go crazy and get rid of all your old guys, just include the age worry in your management duties and you won’t have any problems.

I just hope it doesn’t affect the old players now, because I`ve used the actual rules of the game and put together a team full of elders. I could easily accept that all new players and the ones transfered should have that effect over them, but not the ones already in a team.
