I agree with that, and I think that we can adapt or even use the rules that were used to format the FIFA World Championchip for clubs. I remember that this has happened at least twice some years ago and their intention was to replace the Toyota World cup for clubs, which is the one that is used today in Ruby Soccer.
I think that it’s better to play this cup in the end of the Season, and if we didn’t have time, we can move the start of national leagues to the 3 or 6 tick.

Dirceu

I agree there should be more games with european and south american teams, it would be more competitive and it could balance a little the country ranking :D

But I don’t know about replacing the current competitions, wouldn’t be possible to have both? Maybe this world cup could be played at the beginning of season, with all the semi-finalists of the previous season CL, UC, Lib and Sud… but this is just an idea, we would have to make more changes on our squads to play one more competition, there would be less friendlys, less used players would maybe play in the national cups… on the other hand there would be less loaned players, at least on the begining of the season :D

Cheers

I said in person to Danilo some days ago, that I think this is the most important thing to improve/change right now. I believe that the problem isn’t just he wing plays, but the “all running together thing”. Today, every player goes after the ball, so we have 4, 5 guys fighting for it… That’s because everybody use players in the center, because if you use the sides the player with the ball has to face 3, 4 markers and, obviously, loses the ball.

If the players start marking per zone, I think the wing play will start working, because once you have a wing player, the opponent will have to place a guy on the side to mark him.

A world cup with clubs…I like the idea, but it would have to replace the current international competitions I suppose. What’s everybody else’s opinion about this?

I really would like to be able to play official match with south american teams.
Now in order to do that you have to win libertadores or champions, and only play one game….
I now it is not real…. but it would be neat to have a small league between the best position teams as a world cup. Competition will be higher and fun…
salud everybody…

We definitely need to rephrase the “stay on position” tactic to “play position”…this tactic means the same as no tactic at all, the player will continue playing the same way. Regarding the all back configuration, you have to picture the field in the formations screen to understand the exact meaning of that. Imagine you have a defender D C +1 (defense, center, mentality +1). All back for this guy means he will play as if he was 2 squares behind, on D C -1. For a player on M LC 0, he will player as if he was on D LC +1 (2 squares behind). Does that make sense?

Danilo,
some friendley’s i’m able to accept with a formation set, some not at all, and some as long as i don’t set a formation. i was able to refuse the friendley though

thx for the replies again, but when i say stay position to a defender then i assume he will stay in def and being infront of the goal??

same happens to me alot in corner, i have only 1 defender standing there while i said to all Def and Mid to go “all back”. Which should mean all Def should stand on -1 and Mid also on -1 right?

One thing everybody has to notice is that sometimes there is not even time for the player to go back if you don’t have the ball possession, because you get the ball back. Other than that, it can really take a moment for the player to assume the new position.

Yes you have Vaughn, check it here

Anyway, the same answer is below.

When you say stay on position it means he will behave according to its assigned position, it doesn’t mean he won’t move. The wording could be better, we know that, something like “play position”. The move back instruction means the player will behave as if he was placed in the position right behind the one he belongs. For example, a central midfielder on mentality 0 with a move back tactic will behave as if he has been placed on mentality -1, it doesn’t mean he will immediately move back.

Hope this helps :)

I have no clue if i posted this yesterday already, short term memory i think :P

When i’m watching the replays i see some weird things i can’t understand;
The Individual Tactics seems to have a small or no affect on the players in my team. When i say “stay on position” to a defender is see him infront of the goal when we have to ball or when we don’t have the ball i see my M’s walking around midfield when i clearly said in tactics that he needed to go back.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

Cheers Vaughn

We were not the ones who built this forum, we just borrowed it. But we could work on something like that, even though it would be a low priority improvement ;)

Gabriel

Now your talking. In my old soccersim/managersim days i used to waste (forests) in printing out screen dumps so as to refer back to my youth and pensioners

bring that on sooner than later as my works firewall has a block on this site.

or alternatively in the short time an email/message stating skill increase/decrease

cheers Luc

How about having an option to preview the message and its formatting before posting the actual message in the forum???
I am tired of editing my posts….

I know i am not good at creating a very good first impression…

This Game was a friendly and i had my youths/reserves combination against best of juventus. May be that contributed to the final score being 9 – 0 in favour of Juventus. I don’t know if this information will be of any help. I accept my 16 yr old goalkeeper had 64 keeping skill..

Final Score 9 × 0
Juventus -———- Bordeaux
2-4-4 formation 4-4-2
61% possession 39%
30 shots 7
28 shots on target 6
66% accurrate passes 84%
70% effective tackles 10%
5 corners 0
0 offsides 7
8 fouls 6

Curiously i had 84% accurate passes against juve’s 66%

There was a way until some time ago, but then we removed this option since it could be used to transfer money between teams (by paying the cancellation fee). We may add that back in the future along with some sort of control, but for now you’ll have to wait until the end of the loan contract.

Hi there,

I mostly agree with the ppl that comment here about the system. I just joined after getting refered that the “old managersim” is back.
I love to build up a new team from the ground and not go the easy way to join a big team with 10 superstars. A total or part reset would benefit me ofcouse since i just started, but i don’t think it good for the managers who have been here for a while doing a great job.

I have been noticing some weird behaviour on player tactics in the replays. When i put a defender on stay position on having the ball he moves forward of left/right. When i say to a midfielder move back when not having the ball he stay on the midfield. I feel like those input for tactics has absolute no use or do i see that wrong?

Hi there,

i haven’t found an option to cancel a loan, so i contact the regarding club for it. Unfortunally he didn’t find an option for it to.

Is there a way to cancel or recall a player that is loaned, maybe against a fee of wages?

They were not on vacations if you play lots of friendlies ;)

We can do this kind of stamina reset, but I’d rather make the players unhappy for being low on stamina so managers wouldn’t let them reach low values.
