I’m sure the more experienced managers can give you a hand on setting up your formation. Sometimes small details can make a big difference.

Cheers

Mano Menezes built his career on a huge desaster. The stupid Nautico players have not been able to score (including a penalty kick) against only 7 players of the ******** team of Grêmio in a decisive 2nd division match. You want this guy to coach your national team? Don’t forget Holland for the World Cup …

Mano Menezes was the problem… The only teams he coached before was Gremio and Corinthians and besides the good work on both teams, he wasnt ready to lead the Brazilian National!!!

Felipao and Parreira are world champions and know how to take the best of each player, they know how to motivate the players and make them understand what really means the world cup for brazil…

But to tell you the truth we won that game in the national anthem… The energy on this moment is crazy!!!

World Cup is another deal… The winner will be one of them: Germany, Spain, Argentina or Brazil!! Any bets? =P

it´s not only the statistics, its the difference between the teams, and the fact that, since i start playing this, it´s happening all the time. it´s a little frustating.

Gabriel, how do you mean?

Every manager will “vote” a player being star by researching them, so the more managers researching a certain player during season A, will give more stars (one more) to the player being popular.

Perhaps by cheating you mean people with many accounts will research only on their own players?
People will always research own players for sure, so scouting own players perhaps will not give the player star points?

Nevertheless a counter indicating how many managers scouted a certain player will give a good indication on which player is most popular, next in line and so on..

Perhaps you could check it with percentage, or centain point rules, nr of votes (nr of managers scouting your player) giving certain nr of points, unlocking stardom..

Also we want this changing so a set of rules saying how long an earned star will remain and so on. Still, a start, no?

Last time I’ve a got a new team I thought as much. Coaching levels were too low and players seemed to be under developed. The CPU cheating on this aspect doesn’t sound unfair to me and clearly benefits everyone.

This is actually a nice way to start introducing a stars system. Thanks for the suggestion, Berhan. We just need to be careful so that it is not abused, as usual.

I have to say I am surprised by the Brazilian performance in this cup. Of course we are always favourites when it comes to football but mostly everyone was unimpressed by the team’s recent matches before the confederations cup. It may be because the players are getting better as a team or because they were playing in Brazil…probably a bit of both.

In any case, we are the champions, yet again! Let’s break the tradition next year and win the World Cup (the Confederations Cup winner never won the World Cup in the following year). Go Brazil Go!

This is a suggestion for proactive feature implementation:

Developers, store the number of research people make on certain player, to be able to sort the player by popularity, that is the base for player raising “stars”.

The number of unique scouting of course (by manager).
That can change from season to season, the stars can be less or more.

Advantages could be any or several of the following:
- star being like a mentor , boosting youth players development so they develop faster
- economic booster, more merchandise
- better potential players starting their careers in club with most stars
- star players drafted to national team

Just some thoughts.

nice sounds davison, feels like discovery channel…

I was worried about having too much RIGHT predictions with these Scouts and kill the " manager’s judgement factor " but I don’t think you can fully trust them…

True, I am not saying this should have higher priority than anything else,it’s just ideas.
Perhaps those advanced features should be premium only, read “available only in app version” ;)

@Berhan: not fair, I don’t drink alcohol at all! ;-)

@amacb: if he stops at 90 or even goes up to 91 would you consider the scout to have missed by much? As I said, the scout is never supposed to be perfect.

Timo Maas has reached 90 tackle. lvl 10 scout evaluating a 24 year old missed it. Maybe its too early to tell but think i keep on trusting my own judgement then these scouts.

Gabriel solved that bug, it will only happen this season.

About changing the 12 turns, they would have to change the competitions squedule (as the international finals are played in those turns) or just start everything 12 turns earlier. I think I prefer to have more time before league starts to prepare the season rather than time after competitions end.

Right, and people who had not highest level of scouting last season are penalized, as I can’t really use my scouts new research ratio before turn 21.

This leads me to a thing I want to throw out there:
What about the investment 12 turns are at the end of each season instead of the very begining?

And when researching on players from the delivered list, instead of giving all potential values, you could receive them in steps, so when you know you are done researching this specific player you can click on a button saying, research next player in list.

This will in a way, let you skip a player when you see a secondary value not being great enough, so no use to spend valuable ticks on researching this player.

They reason for this, is to be able to skip valuable research ticks, when you know this player is of no use to me. Most valuable for lower level scouting departments, this way they can skip to next research object, thus shortening the research length per player.

Scouting is very interesting feature I think, will be much appreciated.

I am thinking about the next step (as always), and how about having different types of scouting, like:

1) scout next opponent , having scouting level of 10 will let you scout every turn so this option will let you give a rough estimation of most promising players that you can research more individually.

2) scout youth team, that is you scout your youth team until you’ve scouted them all

3) scout free transfer agents, that is like in nr1, give you a list of promising free transfer agents list, then you can scout them individually.

4) scout specific league/country, scout gives you a list of promising players that you can research later on.

There could be a more advanced option as well, then in all of the types (of scouting), when the “promising list” is delivered, instead of scout going idle, can start researching the players of the list they delivered more thoroughly.

As always when doing things you should start with a “WHY?” and the reason for this feature is to allow people using the scouting feature to it’s full even if they don’t log on every tick.
