Cool, I don’t mind the waiting period, but design-wise it’s flaw-ish as the rest of the investment kick in at turn 12, so should the rest as well, or we could say as soon as the money spent (transfer budget) then the new transfer funds being released (dictated by investment grade), no?
A detail thing but as they say, the devil is in the detail, plus I am very keen to do some scouting ;)

Dont know if this is accurate but seems to me the CPU levels of couching change a lot from season to season.
I say this because every season start (turn 13) I get all players loaned to cpu teams back.
This got me to think if this new changes are not “killing” the cpu’s improvement of youngsters, I think this is very important for the future of the game, nice available squads for new managers sure make people want to stay more than leave after a few unsuccessful seasons.
IMO we should make sure CPU’s always have a level 9 or 10 couch, even if that means “cheating” the board points :D
@Shawn, @Filipe: of course there is a random factor! Two reports from same level scouts will not necessarily be the same, but the deviation from the truth should be similar. Note that I said should, of course one of the scouts could have been drunk when writing the report…
Yes, Dimitri and Davison are right about the way it works, it will be every turn once your current waiting period is over. That said, I’ve also changed it so that when the investments are updated the scout waiting period is adjusted.

Dimitri, I agree but it has already “started” so it should have been 1 turn by now.
At 12th tick when the investments are DONE making, the new setting should be LIVE, then I should have the NEW investment rate.
It’s a bug, trust me.

PS, the same logic as the new transfer budget being available after tick 12, so should the new value/rate for the scouting and EVERY other investment be “reset” to the new value after the 12th tick. Right?
Probably not a bug but a feature. ‘Searchable every turn’ starts as soon as you can search again, which is in 7 turns since you had low scouting last season.
Javier Pinazos’ header skill increased to 79 already a failure for lvl 7 scout :p

Fast ticker, still bug..
I have scouting investment set to “searchable every turn”, but when looking at player on scouting tab, it says I still have 7 turns before I can scout again. Definitelly a bug.

So the answer is no, it may even be that your level 2 report is more accurate than amacb’s level 7. It is unlikely, but possible…

Yep, there was a bug but it has now been fixed. Thanks for reporting! I’m sorry about the lost scout reports…and no, there is no way to recover them.

Hehe nice to see those diferences… It means people need higher levels of scouting so they can trust a little in the reports. Wich makes me think, have level 8-10 scouting or have none :D

I agree it can be too much, but it may be a way to make people want higher levels (and because of that need extra board points and start selling players to get them)…
It can become dangerous if the scouts get it right too much times, if you can make a team of stars from players sold or let go by CPU teams, then there is no need to sell players again… Uncertainty is what makes people sell young potential players, if they know for sure they will be good, they wont sell them anymore…
About Davison comment, it makes the game easier to you, but it makes it easier to everyone else too. Dont expect too much, soon you’ll be complaining about everything again…

now i can’t see any player already scouted… it seems they disappear after every tick. only in medium ticker. fast ticker is working fine, i believe
14 is not that much, if you want to scout for talents who could join your team. Also sometimes you will waste turns due to being away, asleep or just haven forgotten about it…

I’m starting to think the way it is now you can do too much scouting for a season, don’t you think??? Even someone with lvl 1 can have about 14 players reported per season…off course we don’t know exactly what’s the accuracy of the reports, but still maybe it’s too much…
