Hi All
How about we as managers share some knowledge here and compare accuracy for diffrent scouting lvls.
The idea is to have multiple scouting reports with different lvls of scouting for same player.
I made this report for my player “Javier Pinazo” with lvl 7 scouting http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/player_scout_report/396290
So for example if someone can do the scout report for “Javier Pinazo” with a different scouting lvl and post it here in return i will make a report for any player of their choice with my current lvl 7 soon to be 10! i can do 2 more reports with lvl 7 till tick 12. So hurry.
Other managers can deal under this topic as well.
Cheers
Hi Amac,
I have currently just a 2 points in scouting skill.
In 2 ticks, I will make my scout report on Javier Pinazo.
Could you please share your scouting report (I mean, you will have to write it, as when we click on your link, it does not show the report, just tell : “No report found”)?
In counterparty, I have done my report on my player : Fernando Goycochea.
Could you please do the same with your scouting level = 7 ?
Fernando Goycochea (was 17 year old when I ask for the scout report)

Hehe nice to see those diferences… It means people need higher levels of scouting so they can trust a little in the reports. Wich makes me think, have level 8-10 scouting or have none :D
Oh nooooo, I though having bought THE gold player :)).
It’s clear, we really need at least 8.
Good idea this scouting test Amac ;)
Do you guys know if a Manager A with level 7 and a Manager B with level 7 will generate the same scouting reports on the same player, the same season ?
Good question maybe developers can answer this.
I got following report with lvl 10 scouting for a player who is 24 years-old and still improving .
I am curious about the accuracy. I will post his skills when he is fully developed.
Timo Maas

^ sell me him
Shawn, I’m pretty sure Gabriel added a random factor here as well, as he should.
So the answer is no, it may even be that your level 2 report is more accurate than amacb’s level 7. It is unlikely, but possible…
Gabriel, please confirm :D
Javier Pinazos’ header skill increased to 79 already a failure for lvl 7 scout :p
Skill————-Current Value -—-Potential Value (lvl2) -—-Potential Value (lvl7)

@Shawn, @Filipe: of course there is a random factor! Two reports from same level scouts will not necessarily be the same, but the deviation from the truth should be similar. Note that I said should, of course one of the scouts could have been drunk when writing the report…
Or Gabriel had a beer or two doing the formula? ;)
Timo Maas has reached 90 tackle. lvl 10 scout evaluating a 24 year old missed it. Maybe its too early to tell but think i keep on trusting my own judgement then these scouts.
@Berhan: not fair, I don’t drink alcohol at all! ;-)
@amacb: if he stops at 90 or even goes up to 91 would you consider the scout to have missed by much? As I said, the scout is never supposed to be perfect.
Gabriel, then THIS is the reason ;)
Start drinking mate! :)

Scout Report
Potential values are estimates provided by your club scouts. The estimates are more accurate for older players and if you have a high scouting level, but 100% accuracy is never guaranteed.

have already surpassed :)
since admins are saying that scouting is not 100% accurate, i’d like a bit of clarification on something.
so far i’ve noticed scouts under predicting ratings. Does this mean they can also OVER predict ratings? i assume yes but would just want confirmation.
Yes, the prediction can go either way.
Gabriel, is it random 1-X nr of percentage either way, or based on a skill/investment level?
ie the higher the scout level the less risk/chance of guessing wrong?
I hope you don’t answer, answering that kind of questions ruins the gameplay.

OK, I won’t answer then :-)
Skill Current Value S1 S2
Keeping 34 34 34
Tackle 80 92 80
Passing 73 86 90
Shooting 73 86 73

S1 is last season (scouting 9), s2 is this season (scouting 7). 20 points less potential…
And check the differences between these scouting reports on the same player:

Dribble 98 100
Control 90 100

Hi guys
I’m doing second scout reports on several of my young players and there are large differencies between the scouted potenial values. Scouting level 10 on both reports. One player dropping from potential shooting = 100, to potential shooting = 82 or something similar. I can understand that a level of inaccuracy should remain regardless scouting level, but this seems just a bit off. Correct me if I’m wrong but shouldn’t implementing a scouting system (and removing player info like starting value) add to the ability to investigate players? Otherwise it all seems very random?
thats because its bullshit alex. ive already figured out that 10 scout is as bad as 1 scout
Then perhaps Gabriel could explain what’s going on and what to expect from this scouting system. I just had another player re-scouted – he’s 19 years old MD and went from potential passing = 94 to potential passing = 79 which is his current ability. If this is the level of inaccuracy to be expected from the scouting system I would rather be without.
