Just to add this little thing that crossed my mind again… Not the right thread but anyway. (I know we´ve talked about it before, but I forgot about it…)

It would be nice if the teams in the league table were ordered by the last seasons results when next season starts. I love it when I still can see the (hopefully ;D ) good placing from last year when another season starts. And it is nicer to speculate the coming season when the order is “right”.

:)

I think when the second season starts the results of season one should be considered.

If your team did good last year it should have a better starting attendance. And if did bad, a little lower starting level. The teams that were promoted could have just a little higher attendance in the first match than the teams that just avoided relegation and so on…

And of course the good/decent players bought (compared to the teams average) during the offseason should also have a slight affect.

BTW. In my opinion the starting stadiums of 50000 for everyone was not good (I would have preferred like 35000 1.st div. /30000 for 2.nd div. teams) but as long as no stadium construction I´ll take it. But if there sometimes in the future is a fresh start these things should be considered to avoid making it all too easy. For these gameworlds it however works ok.

Cheers!

I´d vote for 1.

Of course needs a better look when we have substitutions and some players play only a small amount of minutes etc.

I think league and cup matches should give you a slight bonus if you get good results. (wins in a row or maybe a draw/win against a top team if you are one of the bottom teams or something like that) But not friendlies.

But maybe “real” matches could affect youth development more than playing them in just friendlies.

Good!

I also like it when I check my scheduled matches the “cancel-button” makes it easier to spot the friendlies so I can check that I have not forgotten to set my reserves squad for the match. Nice.

Are we now allowed a team only in one of the two dimensions or can we play at both as long as there are free teams for newcomers?

I now got a team at 3-ticker but might be interested to play also the faster game if we are allowed to do so.

Yeah, great battle you guys had! Congratulations!

Too bad I couldn´t really challenge you. Never had my tactics working during the season. Had to settle for the third place. (I don´t think Atalanta will lose their last match and we might have trouble against Palermo at their home ground so I probably won´t get the silver)

Well, I am happy that I at least took the National Cup. Something to celebrate for… :D

I´d like to have the minimum (time to buy a player after the first bid) of two ticks for 3-ticker and maybe 4 ticks for a 6-ticker.

I hate it when I am the first to find a good, cheap player and then, after three or four or whatever ticks there are at least 50 other teams bidding on the player.

I am not sure what I´d like to see next…

Maybe some of these?

Planned substitutions
Stadium construction
Board
Minimum period before selling
Coaches
“Mark this tactic as default” -button

Maybe my vote could go to “Stadium construction” and we could start the new dimensions with a little smaller stadiums, even the rich top teams.

Also I think substitutions are quite important. It would be nice to add some more strenght by substituting a couple of players with someone that would have a good stamina and could help the team.

I don´t know… International competitions would have been my answer but they are already under way. :)

He accepted my first offer of 24500. (remembered wrong what I offered, but anyway…)

Nice, because I think I offered him too much last time.

Still haven´t tested if they accept ridiculously lower wages than what their current is. Haven´t checked when the next contract renewal for me is.

Happy so far!

My first test, giving a contract to one of my crappy youths, worked fine. Offered him 4500 and he accepted. I think before he would have wanted around 7-11000 to make a contract. So it worked fine at least now. Those are the kind of players that will end up in free market if they want too big wage. Don´t know how low he would have gone, that 4500 was my first offer.

I also am renewing one players contract now. I think his current wage is 26500 and I offered him 25000. We´ll see if he is accepting that lower wage or not and what will be the final wage.

Yes, Danilo, it works faster now. Nice work!

Northstar, you definitely have a good point there. With problems when logging in, we need a place where to post for help.

I also have had some matches with surprisingly low attendances this season. I meant to ask about it but forgot.

UP.

I may have to take some of my words back. I´ve done a pretty good job with rotating my squad and have not played friendlies with my first team players. Now that I have made it to the National cup final I find myself having low staminas. Playing a lot of cup matches have quite a big affect on this.

I can live with this but started to think what happens when some kind of UEFA-competition is added.

So I change my opinion. Maybe 3 points lost per game is good.

The others still want it to be 3 points?

I know still a little while until the next gameworld but already thinking about it… :D

Have you already decided what kind of stadium sizes and country skill levels will be used in the next gameworlds?

And what about countries that are going to be there?

Is this also a beta, that will be deleted? Or is it the one to stay? Any idea on that?

Cheers!

You´re right.

But maybe they could gain some new ideas when thinkin this over again before renewing the game engine.

And if someone of us has something great in mind, now would be a good chance to start a conversation about it. I am not sure if they already have started working on the game engine but maybe it is not too late.

I don´t personally have those great ideas right now… :-))

Sorry for the long post! I don´t mean to complain but I´d like to understand why my team is having difficulties with scoring. Maybe it´s my tactics…

I am not happy with the scoring of my team. I think they should score more. I´d like to understand how scoring probability is calculated to understand better if there is too much affect on some random feature that helps my opponents keeper or maybe my tactics are just total crap.

Here are some of my last matches:

Opponent: Lazio
Away
Shots: 3-64
My shots on target: 54
Goals scored: 2

My attackers:
Maini, shooting skill: 93
Amado, shooting skill: 92
Rocchini, shooting skill: 92

Midfielders and decent defenders:
Vannetti, shooting skill: 91
Jardim, shooting skill: 88
Cardoso(D), shooting skill: 82
Di Micco, shooting skll: 80

Opponent keeper:
Keeping skill 88 (tired)

Opponent: Genoa
Away
Shots: 17-46
My shots on target: 35
Goals scored: 0

My attackers:
Maini, shooting skill: 93
Serrapede, shooting skill: 94
Rocchini, shooting skill: 92

Midfielders and decent defenders:
Vannetti, shooting skill: 91
Cardoso(D), shooting skill: 82

Opponent keeper:
Keeping skill 84 (tired)

Opponent: Roma
Home
Shots: 38-9
My shots on target: 34
Goals scored: 1

My attackers:
Maini, shooting skill: 93
Amado, shooting skill: 92
Rocchini, shooting skill: 92

Midfielders and decent defenders:
Vannetti, shooting skill: 91
Jardim, shooting skill: 88
Cardoso(D), shooting skill: 82
Di Micco, shooting skll: 80

Opponent keeper:
Keeping skill 87

I try to keep my teams stamina up; around 90 at least, hopefully 95 or better. Most teams I face have a worse stamina than my team.

Do the players have a hidden attribute that affects their level of performance?

How does the shooting distance affect the probability of scoring a goal?

If shooting distance is set to “short” are most shots taken by attackers or does it have other effects?

If distance is “medium”, are then more shots taken also by midfielders?

If “long”, are the defensive midfielders and defenders also shooting more or are just my attackers trying to shoot from a little further away?

I play now 3-4-3, with a diamond formation on the midfield. Changed shooting distance from “long” to “short” a while ago (maybe around season tick, not sure) but did not notice my team scoring more goals. Maybe just a little less shots on goal.

My attackers are now at A -0, should I put them to A1,how would that affect on an estimate? Better quality of shots, better chances to score?

Should I match the A+-0 with the shooting distance? If I have “short” I should put my attackers to A+1 to better match the tactics?

I´m wondering what is my problem now. Are my tactics just crappy or is there a too big affect of some random feature that happens to help the opposing goalkeepers?

Is there something else I haven´t thought about? What I am not understanding here?

I think when I have many +90 shooters on the field and make so many shots on goal, I should be able to score more goals against these 84-88 keepers.

Sorry again for the long post! :-)

Yeah, it would be nice if the flags were always shown for the next “real” macth so that the friendlies between the real ticks wouldn´t cause problems.

Is the wage offered the only thing that a player considers when deciding where to go when more than one club is bidding on him?

Because I was just trying to buy Teodoro Lima but he went to America-RN.

The wage I think I offered was 18.000 or 19.000 and he went to somewhere else for around 16.000.

Have I just accidently offered him only 1.800 or 1.900 (when I ment to offer 18.000) or what other things affected that where he wanted to go?

Is this just my memory serving me wrong (again!) or what could it be?

I´m crying about results here too, sorry everyone: :-))

I´m dropping down in Italy, Beta1 where I thought I would have had a great chance to fight for the championship as I have a very good team.

A little while ago I lost to Livorno when winning the shots 36-13 and had two +90 shooters on the field. Well, it didn´t feel that bad as I was expecting a loss as I had to give rest to almost every one of my best players. But losing after being a lot better side on the field felt a little bad.

This time I lost to Genoa 1-0 when winning the shots 46-17 (or on target 35-11). And I had four +90 shooters playing in the match. And I believe my players staminas were also better than my opponents.

Almost 50 shots and nobody of my four world class shooters could find the net against a tired 84-keeper?

I changed my shooting distance to short to bring more quality to my shots as I thought it would result in more goals. But still four (by looking at the attributes) great shooters manage not to score.

Of course my opponents attacker with a “great” shooting skill of 81 managed to find the net.

I know I am not a wizard in tactics but losing matches where my team completely outplayed the opponents makes me desperate sometimes. Sorry for complaining, it was just a too big a shock for me to wake up and find out I lost again a match I was a lot better at. ;-))

Of course this makes my season very interesting as I have to chase the top teams again. I have always liked to be the undedog and loved a good challenge. Looks like I am the underdog again even though I didn´t think I would be.

BTW, Alexandre, Don´t feel bad for that I didn´t sell you one of my strikers. I would have wanted a big price for them and seems that none of them can score anyway. You won in this case. :-)

Yeah, my team is pretty strong. If not the strongest, at least amongst the top. I have 15 players with main skill of 90 or more. And most of them with at least decent secondaries.

It is my personal lack of tactical knowledge that makes me a bit worried. :-) I can´t always make as good results that I think I should.

But anyway, it will be a great battle this season in Italy. Hope I can seriously fight for the championship.

Good luck everyone!

I was wondering if it could be possible to wait until the end of this season before deleting Beta1 even if a new dimension is added?

We have a great battle going on in Italy, many teams have a good chance to fight for the championship.

As I had to give rest to my best players and therefore I lost my last match, I am not #1 in the league table now, and that might fool the others to think that they actually have a chance against me. :-)

Cheers!

I think getting rid of players aged around 31 is just an old habit from Managersim.
