Would be nice if you can’t benefit of the other team and only if the teams are in different continents.
cheating ?
Could be fun
Saw the topic and forgot to reply :D
I think if you can make it that people cant use that for benefict of one’s team then ok, would be nice for me too, but probably would leave MT lol
Danilo please send me the file so i can look at it this weekend.
Not many people care to reply in the forums these days so I’ll park it for now and maybe create a poll to revisit this at a later stage.
Fortunately!
Ok thanks for the help
I had been thinking about the same thing actually. Maybe try it out for one season to see how it works out?
Let’s see what others think, but just to make it simple I’ll point out that we may be able to do it without requiring a separate user per person, we just need to introduce a concept where you can have 2 “managers” linked to the same user in a particular dimension.
Cheers
Hi
I have a suggestion that I think would make the leagues more competitive: allowing users to have more than one team on the same dimension. The easiest way to do it would be to allow people to create a 2nd user and link it to the original one. For that, a set of restrictions would apply:
- You cannot have 2 teams on the same continent. Because of that restriction we would end up populating the second division of the main leagues and also the other leagues. I would like to play in England but I do not want to leave São Paulo in Brazil.
- You cannot sell or borrow players from the linked team. That would avoid a lot of problems related to cheating.
- When 2 managers are applying to the same team, if one of them already have a team in another continent, the person without any team would take precedence. This would allow new people to have a chance of picking good teams.
- You cannot play friendlies between your 2 teams. This would make an unfair advantage because you could simulate different tactics that you would use with other players.
Another thing is: if the person does not link both accounts and get caught, it would be considered cheating as we already do.
What do you guys think?
Cheers
In Brazil the number of wins is the first criteria, followed by goals difference and number of goals scored.
I think the second criteria is victories, that is why Sport won.
Cheers
Resolved…ticks getting stuck are getting annoying! I’ll dedicate some time to investigate it with Danilo.
@Davison: I’ll put you in holiday mode
I guess the same thing as happend to MT a few days ago.
It’s true it’s stuck on 85%
set vacation mode… ffs well i told you first :) i have to leave right now…and its been stuck for ages…. dont have time to wait for it… wont have access to ruby for the next 4-5 days
ty for not having me fired in advance :)
Hi, I’m not sure if this is a big or I’m being stupid but Brazil serie A in mediumticker, sport came first, Corinthians came second but Corinthians goal difference is better?
Is this right or how do leagues become decided?
Sure, no problem!
I’ll send you an email, hope that’s ok.
Perhaps you can send me a what still needs to be done (sort of todo list) and I choose some? And some explanation how of course.
No worries :-)
@Filipe once you change the language you need to logout and login again, if I’m not mistaken.
@Dimitri that’s a good point, so it might be more useful to write English help pages. Any particular screen(s) you’d like to start with? Feel free to message me in-game or reply here to discuss further.
Well, it doesn’t take a lot of time to fix this sort of thing, using poedit … Last time I spent something like 20 minutes to bring the pt-br translations up to speed. If you have some time I can send you the latest file for you to have a look, Filipe :D
Its working now, much to be corrected Gabriel, most things in PT-BR and some others could have been better translated by me in the old days :D
I’m not sure if a Dutch translation would be worth the effort. Allmost all Dutch people (over 12 under 60) have a good understanding of English, a lot even prefer to use English to Dutch.
What do the other Dutch (or Flemish) managers think?
Thx Gabriel. No problem. Glad I have enough players the replace the suspended ones. :-)
Thanks for relaxing the rules!
Hopefully we’ll see some small teams with good managers giving the big ones a hard time…
Yep, can do that, thou I am a little rusty by now :D
Just tried to change my ingame language to PT-PT but it doesn’t work, says I’m already logued in and keeps the language in English…
We have relaxed the rules for managing national teams. Now you can apply for a national team immediately after resigning or being fired from another one. The only remaining restrictions are that you cannot apply to a national team if you are already managing one and you cannot apply for a national team that you have managed in the last 144 turns.
