New rules for managing and applying for a national team:

1) If a national team has been free for more than 36 turns you can immediately join as a manager, no need to wait for the tick
2) If a national team has been free for less than 36 turns you can apply as usual and your application is processed in the next tick, we don’t have a minimum waiting period anymore (used to be 12 turns)
3) You can apply for a national team even if it has a manager
4) You can apply for a national team even if you are currently managing one
5) A manager is only fired from a national team if he performs below expectation in the continental competition or not above expectation in the World Cup AND another manager is applying for the job; if nobody is applying the manager is not fired

Please let us know immediately if you see anything weird in the job application process for clubs or national teams ;-)

You should take a satellite team who loan and develop the player for 10years . They pay his wage and when he’s ready you call him back. ;-)

I can see a few options here:

1) Do not allow profiles where the player improves more as he gets older when his max potential will only be achieved in his 30s. This way you would have just a few improvements left and have a decent player earlier on in this scenario.

2) Wait for the Youth Development investment area that we have planned (but not confirmed yet) and see how we can use that to address this issue

3) Add the ability to use your coaching department to try and accelerate player development by changing his evolution profile

For now you can decide it is not worth keeping such players because of the risk, it is understandable. I have one player that was like that and I had to be very patient to get him to where he is today…still think it was worth it. Have a look at Ronaldo Angelim in Flamengo, FastTicker :-)

I’d like to add in the fact some players don’t become good until they are 30, I have some players who are destined to be very good but are not improving at all and are now 25! I can deal with the player not getting to his max potential before 30 but it’s costing me money to keep him for 10 years hoping he is going to be very good for 5 years!

If this makes sense lol

I agree with you, they are varying too much, especially in the early stages of player development. I should also probably point out scout reports were too optimistic sometimes because they were not taking into account how much the player had already improved in the current season, that’s been fixed 1 or 2 weeks ago. In any case, I’ll add a task to our list to make the coach reports less crazy.

Is it possible in the statistics screen also show the players who played 0 games? Might not make sense, but I find it interesting to know which of my players didn’t play any games.

I have a young goalkeeper Roberto Leiro.

When I bought him he was scouted as a 94+ potential goalkeeper. After 1 season his potential only was 87 according to the coach report. Previous season I did an coach report again and his potential was 97 – 99. THis season he’s potential had decreased again to 85 – 90.

I know the coach report is more accurate when the player becomes older and reaches his full potential but how is it possible you have such a big differences?

I would understand he is scouted as 94 but the scout was too enthusiastic so he only will reach 87. These differences with Leiro look strange too me.

I had something like that happen last year. I have a bunch of new contracts and fixed it. My wages are much higher now, and with the new expense model etc I’ve lost a list of cash late last year through now (20m or so balance drop with few acquisitions). I was building a reserve fairly quickly before, so it only seemed fair I had to pay guys to keep them happy.

We’ll see if the new income model balances this out next year. If not, I’ve overspent and will have to sell a bunch of guys to balance things out.

Personally, I like a more complex system with more variability in development and player attitudes – it adds to realism.

In fast tick if I goto the league table, matches and then hit any report on the right it says 404 not found :)

OK, ok. But need to take care about this period between the seasons. They cannot play. I was scared when saw almost all them with bad status..:)

The Match Report screen has been re-designed to have 4 tabs: Report, Statistics, Replay and Commentary. Report and Replay should have no surprises as they have the same content we had before, the only difference being that player statistics are now in the Statistics tab instead of directly below the Report. The Commentary tab is a new addition and contains textual commentary of everything that happened during the match. The text is the same that is displayed below the field in the Replay tab, this is just another option of reviewing the match events.

Some things are recalculated periodically and statuses are updated. For example, on season tick countries may have moved in the ranking and that impacts player statuses. Other things happen periodically such as re-evaluating the teammates quality, team ranking and wages being paid.

When finished the season the status of all my players (fast ticker) was good and a few ones, neutral.
Now, and still many ticks to start the new season games almost all my players status are bad.
What,s wrong? Will loose all my players before the season start?
Please take a look at this problem

You can now “Like” newspaper articles written by other managers and see a list of managers who liked a particular article. Hopefully this will help writers understand what people like most to see in the Newspaper and provide some level of in-game interaction.

Club Investments are now upgraded and maintained with money instead of investment points! Our game manual contains the exact rules for upgrades and downgrades. As an alert in the investments screen you are told that around the end of next season the maintenance costs will be doubled, but don’t despair, that can be covered by the competition prizes all teams will start receiving next season.

Just gotta take a guess Mauro, I’ve lost some very good players, in fact the best midfielder in fast ticker to this but I still believe it improves the game.

If the player wants to leave he will leave, get him sold

No immediate plans to fix that as the focus of the pairing logic is prevent teams from the same country facing each other. But it will be done eventually, just not a high priority.

Mauro, suggestion going forward: try offering a new salary 37 turns or more before the contract is over. They only get upset for 36 turns (that I recall) so you’ll always have another chance…

it seems better, or/and that you can’t negotiate for a couple of turns, but not any more / never again
and meanwhile I lost another player….. :(
