I am seeing players growing from 90 to 100 skill in half season at age 23.
Thats more luck than anything else. I think you should be awarded only when you make an educated guess not when its pure luck.
By the way this happened in my favor and honestly i never thought this guy would turn out to be this good.
You develop your youth into a decent player in seven years and in half season he becomes from mediocre to world class.
I am wondering if the majority is happy with the current system or not.

Well my players are not bad believe me. I think there is something wrong with the game evaluating teams quality. I shouldn’t be ranked so low in my division IMO.
After many seasons managing Gama i felt before the season finally i built a strong balanced team has matured with unique players that can dominate at least some games.
Well, my board expectation this season is to “stay in division”.
Yes, there are a lot of good teams in Brazil but i think there must be some decisive factors when the game engine analyses the quality of teams.
How important are the supporting skills?
Are defenders with good passing ability has impact on games?
Or midfielders with good tackling or shooting?
I play with four defenders with 90,86,84 and 81 passing. I have serious doubts having good passers in defense gives your team an edge.
My MA has 92 shooting 99 speed 96 dribbling and 96 heading scores only twice per season in 35+ league games.
How about having two 87 tackling players in midfield. Do they help your defending?
I started to think the game engine uses same kind of evaluation in the matches like in board expectations ignoring some key factors.
To be honest i really hate looking at the match reports to see inferior teams having more possession or better pass ratio or more chances.
Thanks for listening.
Gama selling two players
94 Tackle defender for 9M
Excellent MA C for 15M!! a real bargain for a player at his quality.
Check them out!
Boca is looking for players over 90 main skill with 80+ in other skills not older than 25 years-old (also will buy 80+ players if younger than 20).
The value system has changed but the clubs income stayed the same. This surely affects the game economy. Something to think about maybe.
Prices are dropped.
89 golie just 6m firm
90 passing 84 shooting MA 18M
90 DR 13M
I ll give you another suggestion. You can go to the players history page to see the exact time of the buy then you can check the team history page to see if the team he was bought from was controlled by a human manager or not by the time of purchase. You dont need to be a GM to be able to see this. Then maybe next time you wont accuse people playing the game fairly without any facts. For your information so far i bought just two players from Human managers one i paid 18m the other 35m none at the season you mentioned.
Cheers
HI guys, I dont know how it happened but i have two friendly games scheduled at the same turn which is turn 113 fast ticker team Gama brazil.
Cheers,
Well, i myself built almost my entire team from free transfers. There is no way that you can tell the players potential before you sign them. But you can always make an educated guess by looking at their age, division, games played and all round skills etc. Its actually a combination of luck and patience. Players really take long time to develop and i realize that most people give up on their youth players easily. There is no pattern for player development. I have a player that had 84 shooting at the age of 20. Suddenly in one tick he went to 88 shooting and the next time he developed he reached 91 shooting. And by the way not all promising players are free transfered. I bought a 18 year-old 77 shooting attacker from Italian TL for 390k. Right now he has 95 shooting with all other skills over 80 including tackling and passing.
So i suggest instead of wasting your time here browse the transfer market and maybe you ll find the next hidden gem.
All my players are on natural wages some earn even less from what they should be earning. Relatively speaking i am doing alright in my division. My coaching staff is at lvl 9 which is earning 200k per week. The reason i am not upgrading it to lvl 10 is that i cant afford to pay 100k more because i cant break even my expenses after that upgrade. On top of that if i decide to upgrade the other two staff departments which are currently at zero l i would have a minus balance every pay period without ticket income.
By the way i had worse economy last year which i finished 7th with a board expectation “avoid relegation”. The way i see it is that the sponsor income should be dynamic , for instance when you surplus the expectation of your board your sponsor income should raise significantly . As for the merchandising i agree with Alban that it should be adjusted according to your players quality.
GAMA is Selling:
89 keeping 82 speed goalie
90 tackle 89 passing DC
90 pass 84 shotting MA LR
In fact majority of my players have good dribbling skill so i am gonna set is to rare and test if my team gets better success with this setting. If not i will complain :p
Thanks for the feedback
Hello,
I am wondering how passing frequency affects the way your team play. For instance if you set it to “rare” do your players tend to dribble the ball more often instead of passing?Does it affects the way your whole team plays or just your midfield? What are the advantages of setting to often vs. rare and visa-versa? Can we have some insight on this please.
Thanks in advance
Selling two defenders, one left back and one right back. Both 20 years-old with 90 tackle with potential to improve, low wages.
tac spe dri ctr hea
DL Jean-François Jacq 90 83 83 77 80
DR Xavier Tejero Vidal 90 76 74 83 80
Well for now the way things are the biggest problem with the game i see is the inconsistency in the game results . You can humiliate the defending champions but then the next game you will get a bad result against a weaker opponent playing with a weird formation. So how can you tell that your tactics are really good or not?
" Maybe there has to come a rule that there must be at least 2 (maybe 3) defenders, 2 (maybe 3)midfielders and 1 attacker on the field."
This is a great suggestion by thorpedo; solves the problem and easy to implement (i think).
Cheers
Hi,
Looking at the tactical screen there are 5 lateral zones left being number 1 and right being number 5. Watching the match replays you would realize if you field a player on that zones on the wings you would see that they have no impact on the game, they run up and down like headless chickens.
I would say it would be nice to see some improvement on this, especially after heading skill is included in the game. The next generation of players surely will include some players over 80 heading skill so its common sense to think that those players will have a great impact on the games.
If wingers can be included in the near future it will make things much more interesting dont you think?
For instance, midfielders with high speed and dribbling would be best to field on these zones and additionally attackers, defenders and golies with high heading skill will be an asset to any team. This will surely impact the transfer market bringing more activity and make the game more sophisticated.
Maybe its not really related to the topic but i lost a game against a team playing 0-3-7 formation without any defenders. Its kinda annoying :p
Sorry but i dont get this " youths are developing too fast" thing. I mean i have players still improving after playing 80+ games even at the age of 20. How is that fast? I dont know maybe i have been unlucky.Off course in real life it can take longer but would you make the game boring to make it more realistic?
Another thing is that when you start playing you have no choice but put your faith in young players because only crappy teams with no capital are available to manage. If you already have a decent team i think its ok to sing a veteran to improve your team, especially if that player can put you in the hall of fame. Even Arsene Wenger signs veterans like silvestre :p
By the way i support the idea of players developing more playing official games than friendlies and playing more minutes. Maybe its best to make the process harder but not longer.
Cheers
Well they can move just two squares away from their original position. Maybe the developers can add more stuff like central defenders(or any player with good heading skill) going to the penalty box during a corner kick etc…
The idea of swap deals sounds good in theory but i agree that it may cause some problems, What will happen would be a group of veteran managers or real life buddies trading their better players between each other and all others will be left out never given a chance to get a good player.
The main skills are highly underrated in this formula i think. For example i have a 90 passing mid valued at 700k and a 78 passing mid at 4.7M.
Yes the second one has very good secondaries but still doesnt make too much sense that 78 passer is valued 4M more than a 90 passer.
By the way i rotated these players this season to see who will perform better. The played the same position. The player with 90 passing averaged 9.2 in 21 games. The one with 78 averaged 8.2 in 22 games.
Just my 2 cents.
Good to know.
Thank you.
Hi,
I would like to know how the game engine works when an improving young player is used as a sub in a game.
When a player plays even a few minutes in a game like a player subbed at 80th min, he is considered that he played one game stat wise.
How this works when it comes to improvement?
Nevermind just saw the new announcement :p
A player of mine at fact ticker named “Rodipo Palomino” id 50873. Hi is improving but his value increases abnormally.
Hi Gabriel,
In an other topic you have mentioned something about coaches also effecting the players reaching their potential. Here is the direct quote".. Remember that the player may not reach his maximum potential if you don’t have a good coaching department. A level 4 department for instance should be enough to unlock half this potential."
So if a team doesnt have lvl 10 coaching department there is no way that a youth can reach his peak no matter how many games he plays?
Thanks in advance
I agree that if the players improve too fast the game will be less challenging but the opposite is also not so good IMO. If we wait too long to see if the promising player is gonna meet the expectations or not there is no point signing new players because you have to play the ones you already have for a long period of time to know the answer. That means less transfer activity which could hurt the game.I for one enjoy scouting through transfer lists and making transfers . Anyway I hope more indications would be added in the future like improvement in their secondary skills or a msg from your training coaches etc..ohh and training would definitely be a great feature to have and i hope its on your to-do list.
Thanks for the replies and listening,
Cheers
