Merchandising income is proportional to the players’ quality, the thing is the numbers are ready for really, really crap players, not the good ones you have in Russia, that’s why the difference is not that big :D
And yes, if you perform well and get top players like top Brazilian teams your income will be 500k per week as well.
@Alban: stadiums should be bigger :)
Yeah, it was in our heads since the beginning, but it was only when Danilo looked at that map in the link he posted above that he decided to finally add it to RubySoccer. And it was ready in the next day :D
Só pra constar, as palavras em itálico são minhas mesmo ;)
I had to manually generate the next round for national cups on Brazil and Argentina, that’s why the matches are scheduled for turns 50 and 56 instead of 49 and 55 as in other countries.
Had problems with the last two ticks, that’s why they took so long.
I’ll explain what I mean by unintentionally as soon as I get it fixed :D
No problem :)
Usually players that participate more in the match receive higher scores, unless their participation is really bad :)
I have some ideas to improve the rating system again, I’ll register it in our bugs/enhancements list.
The only reasons I can think are:
- you have another strategy that moved your A C to another position;
- Mateus Pereira was not available for league matches (suspended or injured);
If it is not any of these we might start considering it can possibly maybe be…who knows…a bug? :D
The amount of money available is increasing somewhat fast, I guess that’s why so many people are concerned. :)
We’ll review the game economy in order to make it grow in a reasonable pace. Travel costs and TV incomes may be added, but first we need to balance things with the incomes and expenses we already have.
Fortunately Real Sporting de Gijón’s manager is a friend of mine. He explained me exactly how the extra matches were scheduled unintentionally. I’ve already deleted the future extra friendlies. It can be easily fixed so that doesn’t happen again.
Probably related to our server available memory…once the available memory reaches its limit things start to run much slower…this is something we’ll have to look into again :)
I’ll take a look in the logic behind it, make sure this doesn’t happen.
Thanks!
Looks like someone found a way to break the rules…I’ll investigate.
Thanks!
I already feel the great responsibility of managing Benfica! 5 leagues in a row! I can’t let that sequence end :D
Lucky you!
Not really. There are already other suggestions, like more experienced players not being penalized by playing away matches. We’ll certainly do something, not sure what exactly yet :)
Yes, I agree that sometimes managers in low ranked coutries underestimate their youths :)
What Alban says makes sense. Of course we’d still have more Brazilian and Spanish stars, but the difference between the first and the last country youths is just 5 points per skill.
The development for youths is already 2 times faster and 20% allowed per season, in the average ;)
Filipe has a good point about no star leaving Brazil if we increase the squad size. It shouldn’t be uncommon to lose a future star because you don’t have room for this player in your squad. The way things are now you have to choose some players and try to improve them. So far I like the luxury tax idea amac gave in another topic where you’d pay an extra tax to have more players in your squad.
As an alternative we could remove the limit and make The Board unhappy for having so many players in the squad. This way you’d receive board messages from time to time complaining about that, and lose points with the board if you don’t get rid of the extra players. The more extra players you have more points you’d lose.
A more realistic approach would be remove the limit but make players unhappy for not playing official matches. Of course a player with much lower stats than your top players wouldn’t become unhappy that easily, but when you have too many players they’d probably become unhappy at some point. Enhanced player free will is good for the game in many aspects like helping the market to become more interesting.
At the end of the season it is possible they had already reached their maximum for that season. If that’s the case they receive new points to improve on season start and also reset their experience points needed for the next improvement.
Player growth difference: the answer is yes, players in the lower division needs 10% more experience points to improve. When we add a third division it will be 20% more and so on.
Home players skills: it makes sense…I also like the idea of experience positively influencing this skill reduction.
Luxury tax…interesting!
Ticket prices are the same in all countries.
The number of ranking points earned in a win or draw depends on the opponent quality, not on the country. Of course as you have higher quality teams in Brazil you earn more points in a victory against a brazilian team than agains a team from Paraguay :)
They are counted because if you end up selling all of them in the same turn your squad will become too small. You must have at least 14 players not listed (transfer or loan). Your loaned in and youths are not counted. From these 14, at least 1 must be a goalkeeper.
To be honest the whole economy should and will be reviewed. Sponsorship, merchandise, player wages, etc. There are a few improvements planned for a long time regarding wage negotiation. These are smaller things and will probably be implemented before this review and won’t affect the economy that much.
Regarding graphics, I didn’t ask for a Russia country symbol for 2 reasons:
- I didn’t want to reveal Russia was gonna be added ;)
- The page design will change soon and we probably won’t use the spherical symbols anymore (you’ll see why)
Danilo is using the newspaper layout you suggested, by the way, it’s really nice!
We need 18 teams, which are (not sure about rankings last season, but supposing this was the bottom up country ranking):
- worst on Russia (2nd place)
- worst on Netherlands (2nd place)
- worst on Germany (3rd place)
- worst on Italy (3rd place)
- worst on France (3rd place)
- worst on England (4th place)
- worst on Portugal (4th place)
- worst on Spain (4th place)
Then we start bottom up again:
- 2nd worst on Russia (1st place)
- 2nd worst on Netherlands (1st place)
- 2nd worst on Germany (2nd place)
- 2nd worst on Italy (2nd place)
- 2nd worst on France (2nd place)
- 2nd worst on England (3rd place)
- 2nd worst on Portugal (3rd place)
- 2nd worst on Spain (3rd place)
2 teams to go:
- 3rd worst on Russia (none, only had 2 spots)
- 3rd worst on Netherlands (none, only had 2 spots)
- 3rd worst on Germany (1st place)
- 3rd worst on Italy (1st place)
I know, that’s not real life logic, but you should agree it’s fair. With more countries the top countries champion won’t be on Qualifying round anymore ;)
