I was taking a look at my players for the next match in the league and there was 4 players with red card, when I saw my last league match, I had only 2 yellow cards, so I thought the obvious and took a look at my last match in the national cup… And I had 4 more yellow cards… The thing is only 2 players should have the red card for next league match, but the system is counting the cards for both competitions together!!! So I’m having a huge card problem hehehehe =)

a brazilian match has an average of 40 fouls per game (depending on the year, in fact). Maybe we should add a “country” modifier to the foul odds, but of course that a match would have the ceil average, considering both teams (meaning that even a premiership team would have more fouls if playing against a brazilian team).

but on a second thought, we may only get the numbers a little bit down and do it for all the countries. to make that odd country-dependable would bring a complexity that would not add anything to the game fun.

about 20 25 fouls tops for a soccer game, but counting both teams. Less if its premiership

Exactly, the ideia is that teams playing more than one competition will have to rotate their players in order to keep their stamina up.

One thing that can happen is that your GK was used to complete the formation, without your knowledge. You have to double check your match report to be sure.

Another thing about penalty kicks. Shouldn’t it say who kicked the penalty kick? Or at least say witch team had it?

Hi!

Regarding this Stamina issue, i’ve rested my players for 6 ticks (2 league games – no friendlys) and my GK gone from 61 to 59… Instead of going up, went down on the stamina…

Bug?

what is the average number of fouls on your country soccer games? for a match here in brazil the number reported by commanche would not surprise, like Gabriel said. Also, with the change for fouls inside penalty area, that should drop a little bit.

But please note that commanche game really had a high number of fouls even considering the new logic. We have to consider the whole group of new games and check their numbers too.

I have to rotate a lot my players too… But I don’t see any stamina problems here, maybe in some teams the stamina is harder to recover, but anyway, if what works for my team is like for everyone, in my opinion is okay.

Yes Gabriel, i meant what Jah said. :)

But… i do agree with Jah, that suggestion was just because everyone seems to be complaining about this. I have no idea if on other teams things work differently, but i always manage to have a starting 11 above 90 stamina. With the cups, things will get harder, but no team plays all the matches with the same starting lineup.

Thanks for reporting that Tiago, we have changed the way suspensions are being deleted so we may be deleting the wrong ones…

No, it considered the delay of the long tick. Fixed now.

Gabriel,

Catching your example and Ricardo’s ideia, i believe he meant that the player should be in good shape at turn 5, not turn 6. ;)

For me, i like the way it is right now. It makes more interesting managing the team if we have to rotate a little more the chosen players. The only thing i believe it could be better is the goalkeeper stamina, it shouldn’t be so low after a game.

Regards.

I agree with you Ricardo, I will open a bug for that. We already store when the player’s contract began for that purpose.

But right now it takes 2 ticks for that, Ricardo. If a player played a match on turn 3, then rest on turns 4 and 5, he will be in good shape for turn 6 match.

I guess the number of fouls is ok for brazilian standards, but maybe not for the rest of the world :D

About the number of cards the problem was that aggressive players were receiving too many cards and non-aggressive players never received cards due to the extremely low number of fouls.

Two suggestions here:

1. Is there any way that when you click forums when you are in your game world that it does not leave the game screen? Instead it opens in a new window? Yeah I know shift+click will do the trick as well.

2. What about in game forums? That way I can start talking shit to everyone.

The way the game is now, is asking for the cow trading business. We can sign a player and put him on the list on the same tick… with the huge gap between England and the rest of the world, it’s hard not to think of “taking advantage” of the british, getting youngsters at high 70s and selling them cheap right after, most of them are better than the best over there anyway…

What i’d suggest is, since the minimum contract duration is 1 season, make the player stay at the club for at least 6-9 months, it would prevent a lot of cowboys.

Cheers

What was the problem with the cards? Was it the relation to the number of fouls?

Maybe 2 ticks for a player to get to the point where he was before the match would be the ideal, instead of 3. That way, if you had a 100, he played a match and went to lets say 90, he could still play the next tick’s cup match and go to 80… in 2 ticks he’d be 90 again to play the league match.

(these are hypotethic values, obviously)

Heres my match report stats :

47% possession 53%
12 shots 53
12 shots on target 40
64% accurrate passes 58%
46% effective tackles 52%
1 corners 4
1 offsides 10
22 fouls 34

I had 2 yellow cards, I think the number of fouls is still high, throughout the game. The red cards have slowed down to a sensible level. But its hard to say a team with 34 fouls should only get 2 yellows. Maybe the foul logic needs a look at, to reduce foul numbers.

I’ve just changed the match logic to reduce the number of fouls inside the penalty area. About the players missing so many penalty kicks I also agree, we’ll look into that maybe later today. By the way, they always missed that many penalty kicks, we just didn’t display them in the report :D

But what do you guys think about the number of fouls, cards and injuries, is it more realistic?

Cheers.

I was about to ask if Penalty Kick meant what we’re all thinking… because if it does, then they started raining this turn. ;)

On the bright side, i checked more than half of Spanish Div 1 reports and while all matches had tons of penaltys, there weren’t any weird number of shots, i think the most i’ve seen as around 40, which seems to me like a normal number when one team runs all over the other.

Cheers.
