You are correct, the next match’s competition is taken into account when displaying the message for any of your formations, even the ones not selected for the next match. We can definitely enhance that, I’ll add to our list, I don’t think it’s there.
Cool idea!
Hello everyone!
I have a new suggestion regarding youth players in the club academy. At this point, when the youth signs a contract or leaves the club, we randomly receive another player.
So my suggestion is: it would be great to have the chance to choose the position of the next youth player (G, D, M, A). For example, I’ve 5 goalkeepers in the first squad, so I don’t need another young goalkeeper when my best striker is 38y and thinks about retiring.
So in this situation I’d have the chance to choose a young striker in the academy and replace my needs immediately.
Regards,
Luke “Bronson”
I’ve had numerous youth players come along, promoted into the main squad, who became stars. Upon retirement they leave our lives.
I see their names, and I get a good feeling for the contributions they have made, the games they have won for me. I’ve been thinking about how to honour our retired stars, how us as managers can get to remember them.
Years ago it was mentioned that a Club Hall of Fame type feature was possible to get. However, I think there may be a nicer option: You already have created the Team of the of the Round and Season for the League.
Is it possible for you to create a Team of the Season for our team? We can look back at previous seasons and see the historical names, the Legends of our club!
Players are eligible for the Team of the Season if they meet the requirement of playing at least a minimum number of matches, say about 30 League\Cup matches.
This could also be implemented for the National teams. So we can Honour our National Heroes representing us in the National Cup games for the season.
I’d love to go back and see the team who played the best for me over the season. Did I play someone too few games? Did I transfer someone like an idiot? Did I correctly play the best player in as many League and Cup matches as possible?
The Team Info page states formations that have unavailable players. However, it is not accurate.
If a player has a red card in the Premier League, but is playing in Cup match soon in a different Formation, the Team Info page incorrectly states that the Cup formation has unavailable players.
The red card in the Premier League appears to be triggering the warning message for the Cup formation.
Well, that’s one risk of paying 30 million for a young player. Another risk is that he doesn’t develop as much as you hope for. Same happens in real life…
Ah of course! Never thought of that, thanks
He could’ve been suspended or injured, in which case it wouldn’t count as a missed match.
Hi, I was checking how some of my loan players were getting on and i clicked on Fernando Hierro. When i went into the match report it said he had not played in the last match but when i checked his profile he had no missed matches. Is this a bug or am i getting confused? lol Its making me doubt myself.
We have an item in our backlog to improve scout searching, I’ve just added this option to it.
Nice catch! I’ve never noticed that “Team has the ball” and “Opponent has the ball” tactics were lost, I’ll raise a bug for us to fix this.
Thanks!
Is it possible to scout for players who play multiple positions?
Yes Dimitri, of course.
However, if you just paid 30 million for a player and he develops awful traits, then you are going to feel ripped off.
Hello,
in the formation screen, when I change players, all of the settings are not retained. For example, the “Team has the ball” in Player Positioning screen resets itself back to Play Position.
Should it retain the setting that I had given the player in that position previously? The other settings on that screen, and in Player Tactics, seem to be retained.
Ta.
The logic associated to penalty kick taking and saving has been simplified in order to better align with reality. We’ve noticed there were too many misses and saves during penalty kick, with the new logic in place should increase the number of goals scored in these situations. In addition to that the goalkeeper trait for “good at penalty kicks” and “bad at penalty kicks” will have a slightly higher impact.
Nice suggestion Bronson, I’ve added this to our list.
Thanks!
Hello all!
I would like to propose new searching filters at the transfer list. It should be option to activate filter for example for player class (A, B, C etc.), for traits (positive, negative), and for pressure handling (good, poor, reasonable). With this new filtrs searching on the transfer list would be more quicker and easyer.
Thanks!
I agree we need some improvements for the scouting functionality without going back to the easy way we had before (where a specific player report was provided immediately). I like both suggestions above and believe they will add value to the scouting investment. Once we do this we need to come up with a smart way to balance that with the existing scouting logic, so that it would slow down in case you’re scouting specific players or only allow one or the other to be active, not sure.
Being able to scout for a specific nationality would be good too!
While I love sending scouts out to find players with specific numerical attributes, I should be able to send a scout to scout out a specific player by name. This obviously happens regularly in the real world. You could make it that scouting specific players is more dependent on when that player actually plays in a match. So, the higher the scouting investment then the fewer matches it would take for a scout to return with a report.
Would significantly reduce managers just guessing on players they found by looking into the transfer market and ending up with a complete dud. Would also encourage/reward managers to find players and spend time in the transfer lists rather than just sending out scouts and letting the game basically play itself.
haha he didnt even get into the Premier league team of the season! That honor went to Carlo Oreo!
Hahahahahaha
Amazing GK indeed!
I just want to hug my goalkeeper.
The fact that he let through 51 goals shows just how much work he had to do, how bad our defence was, and how skilled he is in order to be the keeper for the Squad of the Season.
Thankyou from the entire Liverpool family.
Yes.
Do you mean allowing only teams of a given class range to loan your players?
Is is possible to add a class range as loan options? For example class D and lower?
I don’t have a problem with that trait. If he is good, I use him in my CL squad. If he isn’t that good, then I don’t need him that often :)
Happy to hear other opinions about this. For now the frequency of each of the different traits is exactly the same. Probably that trait is one of the most annoying ones, but I have had (and still have) quite a few players in the squad with that trait and it is still manageable (if you have reasonable subs). Other traits could have a bigger impact without people realising. For example, if you’re an A team in a league full of lower class teams a trait saying “Player worse against teams with a class lower than his team class” will give him between 1 and 3 points penalty in every skills against most of your league opponents.
Hi guys
The addition of player trait does add a bit of extra flavour to the game. None the less it’s very sad to see talented players develop: “Uses more stamina per match” late in their careers. It more or less spoils them. I’m sure I’m not the only one experiencing this. Perhaps the frequency with which the different traits appear could be discussed and perhaps adjusted?

You may not even have noticed, but since the introduction of the player shirts in the match report screen we were not displaying the * beside the man of the match player’s name. This is now fixed.
