Couldn’t it be possible that a player expectation changes during their career.

I did a bit on Franz Beckenbauer (CRB) and he refused because he thinks there are too many players from his Country (Spain) in my team. Could be possible since Malaga is in Spain. :-)
It’s good to see great players point to other countries than their home country.
But maybe they can change this expectation in the last years of their carreer. They want to come back to their home country or …

Thanks for your explanation.
He accepted my offer so I hope he stays happy. I need him to score goals.

The exact number of players that triggers this behaviour is determined in a funny way. When the player is generated with this priority (prefers less teammates from the same country as him) the game looks at all managed clubs in the dimension and checks how many players of that country are part of each of them. The player should then be marked to reject or demand a higher salary from at most 10% (I may be wrong on the exact percentage) of the human managed teams, if he was part of them by that time.

Practical example. In your example you have only 2 greeks, so we can assume that by the time the player was generated 90% of managed clubs had 1 or 0 greeks in the squad, and 10% had 2 or more. That means having 2 or more is within the player’s rejection / high salary threshold.

Hopefully I’m not being too technical and it makes sense! This particular priority will always have weird number for smaller countries, especially when we don’t have managers in those countries.

That’s the first time this is suggested…I like it! It would be really helpful as well in periods when you don’t have much time to manage your team, you could simply go into the players list to check who is low on stamina and mark those as unavailable. I’ll add to our todo list.

Set it all up and then a player got injured before I got online and he played the full game again! Haha.

Gabriel I got this expectation with a contract negotiations of my attacker.

“Kostas Gazis is expecting a higher than usual wage. He thinks your team has too many players from his country.”

There are only 2 Greeks in my team, he and a midfielder. I don’t think these are too many on a total of 30 players.
Is this a bug? Or is the expectation made in percentages? In this case more than 5% = too many

Ive never noticed this before! Ive set it up now and ill see if it works. A Button on the player profile would be easier still but thanks Dirk!

I haven’t tried it myself but I guess you could make an event substitution.
Something like:
“In any match, when the event is Injured Defender, replace the player on the position where the event happened by Dennis Troost”

Hi, I was wondering if it’s possible to add an option on the players profile to sit out matches until being told to play again.

My reason being my best defender has the brilliant ‘used more stamina per match’ ability. I subbed him out to get a break but another one of my defenders happened to get injured in the 9th minute. What happens? Yes you guessed it, my knackered best defender comes on and uses more stamina in a game.

Any ideas would be welcome

Thanks for the memory refresh, Tukmans! Both ideas are still on the table (satellite club and youth investment area), I had forgotten how you proposed to tie the two together. I still have one more thing to do with regards to the player market before I move to new major changes, let’s see if this one can be accommodated.

I’m still thinking about having the option to close a contract with a satellite club on an annual basis.

You may want to keep an eye on free transfer list in countries that have inactive teams. From now on, inactive players will be gradually released to the free transfer of their team’s country throughout the season. That means inactive teams will always get a fresh batch of players when re-joining the game as well as having their money balance reset.

Thank you. I dont know, but i assume training improves players irl, but that practise matches would improve too.
Though i dont want to go back to organising friendlies for every spare tick – was so annoying.
Am not sure on the answer.
Spevialist coaches can be employed for players under age 24? The coaches wages based on % of club income so its fsir to little clubs?

Ahh yes, i had forgotten about the old days where it was a struggle to find friendlies gor every tick, and then deal with player injuries.
Ta :-)

That’s true, what I meant is that the impact shouldn’t be too big if you are ahead by 2 (as in the given example), but of course we know that anything can happen in 35 minutes…I’ll add this to our list of improvements then, see what we can come up with.

Oops. Anyway, there is an issue: normally the developing players are weaker than the players in the main squad. So if they play less than 35 minutes, the team is weakened without the advantage of player development.

Yeah friendlier are pointless now, I only accept before the start and end of the season.

Friendlies are not a big deal anymore, that’s why we haven’t done any changes to them in ages. Just a small correction to your benefits list, the income is split between the two teams regardless of the playing field, so no need to worry about playing only away matches. Unless of course you want to compare your team’s performance playing home and playing away.

What happened to my Math? You’re absolutely right, subbing at 65 is not enough, it should be 55.

Now the M$%^#$&@(!g C^*t has rejected my request for a friendly to him.

In the real world I am sure there are lawyers involved, contracts signed up, friendlies agreed to beforehand. Seems like the game mechanic could be tweaked.

so, the benefit we get from friendlies is?
- some money if it is a home match
- practise some formations and tactics

Can you change the friendly request system so that when an invitation is sent, it generates a home and away match please.

I’m sick of these managers that time their cancellation of my home friendly.

Hi,

For players to improve, in the previous post linked below, you clarified that a player must play 35 minutes.

http://rubysoccer.com/forums/1/topics/3019#posts-18791

However, in this post, you said a player will improve if he is subbed in at 65 minutes or before. That is only 25 minutes in a 90 minute game.

Thanks,

Hmmm, that was never in the todo list. Maybe it’s worth adding something like that for such cases, but then there is no issue in subbing these players after 65, it’s just they won’t improve :-P

65 minute mark I think?

Problem is that (afaik) it is not possible to have a rule ‘Substitute when ahead 2 goals at minute 65, but not after that’.

Is that still at the to do list, Gabriel?

That is cool mate!

My guy’s skills have started decreasing. Don’t think he can increase skills??

I played him in over 10 games, so it seems like a lost cause. I should have played other younger players instead.

I like that idea, very good.

I remember though, that a player must play 35 minutes to receive all the benefits from playing the game. Not sure I’ve been up 2 goals at the 75 minute mark in many games.

At the moment you can only attempt one forced transfer every 6 turns, regardless of the players’ club or league.

Is it possible for me to make more than one forced contract to separate players in the same turn
– assumption: lets say those players are from different teams playing in different leagues
