I agree that we have to put that info somewhere (someday), but we shouldnt use this information on the table… In Brazil, for example, we have large team names, like São Paulo Futebol Clube. This kind of name can easily mess up our screens.
Dimensions table shows how many teams are free and how many managers are online. Inside the dimension, it is possible to see who are the online users.
What is the next functionality you would enjoy most to see implemented on RubySoccer? (despite the match engine improvements, please :) ).
the bug is not that you cant login, it is that you could have to login more than once :). also, we have an email that you can use if you cant get in touch with us: admin@rubysoccer.com ,
the problem is that the balancer messed up your ips. it feels good to be in beta :). anyway, it is fixed now. if you have any other problems please let us know.

I think the problem is fixed but, in the meanwhile, what do you guys think? Is rubysoccer faster/better with that improvement?

We have a small problem with our sessions on this new balanced server. It seems that the balance makes our server “forget” about your session sometimes. Will fix asap, but for now the effect is not a big deal: some of you may have to sign in more than 1 time.
Please let me know if you are experiencing this problem.
Our server is now clustered/balanced. In other words, the performance should be dramatically better on our top hours. However, bugs can happen. I count on you guys to report them, using the improvements discussion topic. cheers!

dammit, i knew this would happen :) dont worry, it happened because i tried a workaround to generate the promotion/relegation history backwards… it wont happen in future. but thanks for reporting.
for now i will remove all the info about relegations. will fix this later.

a draft of team event history is implemented. I am not satisfied, but it is better than nothing.
that is something we need to discuss. maybe we can enable this possibility, but the friendly would have to be withdrawn a number of ticks before the match. that way the other manager would be able to react to this change of plan.
When you have pending negotiations the menu icon blinks (and the title changes). We dont have a good different icon to use there, so for now the icon will be the same.
i will talk a couple things about the shooting distance. if you configure this to long, your team will tend to risk more shots even if the goal is not that near. of course that more distance implies in more difficulty to score.
Depending on your tactic, if you encourage your team to risk long shots they may waste good chances to pass the ball and create better goal situations. it is the famous “rivaldo” effect. :)
On the other hand, if you configure this to short and your players suck at passing, you may never shoot at all!
Phew, can you imagine the possibilities that we will have when we extend the tactics screen ? :D

gabriel’s idea was nicer but more difficult to implement. to have one fixed default tactic would make things easier for us initially, and as we had a lot to do we picked the easiest way that would still work.
but i certainly prefer the approuch mentioned here. we can do that after other more important improvements.
hmm, it wouldnt be a bad idea to implement country-specific rules. i will discuss with Gabriel, but my vote here is yes. what about the rest of you guys?
