I’ll update our files today.
Wouldn’t it be nicer to have the full team names, not just the short versions or cities?
like
“Benfica Lissabon” or “Olympique Marseille”
instead of
“Benfica” or “Marseille”
I agree that we have to put that info somewhere (someday), but we shouldnt use this information on the table… In Brazil, for example, we have large team names, like São Paulo Futebol Clube. This kind of name can easily mess up our screens.
I agree with Danilo, the team info screen may display a full name in the future, but screens like league table, team matches should display the short version
understood, but i meant not the fullll name, but a more precise.
São Paulo Futebol Clube
could be São Paulo FC
I think we are used to see team names in the short form here in Brazil, that’s why we did it that way :-)
Here we call São Paulo Futebol Clube → São Paulo, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo → Flamengo and even Benfica that you gave as an example we call just Benfica.
But if it is a general opinion that we should change that we can certainly do it. Or maybe have someone from each country to tell us how team names are usually written in his/her country.
Cheers.
I think step by step is ok
But who want more elaborated, can do that now, here, same the others did
Give them, Philipp, a more precise name for all the teams, now, and will be easy for them to update
But…if you dont know all, just start with what we have
Portugal only has 16 teams in each division. The majority of leagues has 20 to 22. What will we see in Portugal? 2 Divisions with 16, 22 or 3 Divisions. This game has many portuguese people, I think that 2 divisons of 16 teams will not be enought. :)
