Just one more comment on number 2, we have added coaching recently and all players generated after that have a higher potential than previous existing players in the average. This potential can be developed by teams with high level coaching departments so in a few seasons we should have some star players as you mentioned, even though we don’t use the silver and golden stars system ManagerSim used to have. As Danilo said, we may add the star system later :)

Welcome to RS. Here are some comments:
1 – We are working to add more stuff to the tactics screen. But though this game was really inspired in managersim, our tactics are planned to be more flexible. The offensive / defensive behavior, for example, is something we already have – and may be controlled at a player level. You just have to put your players in the +1 (offensive) / 0 (neutral) / -1 (defensive) squares. During the game, you can modify all that based on conditions.
The defense/offense options (changes according to ball possession – or the arrows, like you said) are being developed, along with other few points you have mentioned (and some that you havent). To finish the planned functionalities for our tactics / strategies is definitely one of our top priorities (along with improving the match engine), and we will do all that as soon as we can.
2 – We have plans to add star players to the game. We still have some higher priorities to take care, but I hope we can do that one fast too.
We have a bugzilla to track our plans and activities. You can go there= anytime to see what is happening. The ones in red are the next priorities (everytime we finish a package of red issues we define a new one and mark the issues in red there).
I’m a former ManagerSim user, and I apreciate very much the work you did here… very nice to see the same struture that kept me hours and hours in my laptop, the times that i waited until 3:00 am to see a result or to buy a player….
You have here a good structure and I now that this is going to grow and that you will have soon as may countrys and users as ManSim did.
Just two opinions for now :
1 – You should have as fast as you can a better tactics screen… if possible with defense options, ofensive options, type of play ( defensive, cautious,offensive, all ofensive ), long balls, direct ball, playmaker, defend a specific player from the oposite team, AND MOST IMPORTANT to put arrows in the positions screen so we can define what player is more offensive and attacks more and the ones that play more cautions and defensive…
Don’t forget the bench… because i didn’t found a way to select players for that (maybe it already exists)
2 – We need to see MEGA PLAYERS… in ManagerSim we had players and GREAT PLAYERS, I remeber that I sold in FULLTEST Margaglio to Real Madrid for 180 Millions, but the guy had 3 silver stars, 99 shooting and 86 overall, and he was not the best player… for what i see where there’s good goalkeepers but few or none MEGA STARS in any position ( maybe I’m wrong )!!!!

12 turns. It is possible that his counter proposals decrease a little, but not much, until they reach a value that is not likely to change. Starting with a $1 offer is a good way to know how much the player is willing to accept, but it’s not a good idea if he has asked for a contract like 10 turns ago for example :)

For how many turns will an expiring youth wait for the contract ? What if I offer 1$ wages every time, will it change anything ?
I think you had no chance to enjoy at all Alban, I’ve already changed the stadium logic to make the price fair when you’re going to the next size level, so in your example you won’t pay 4M anymore to go from 39900 to 40900 ;)

No, I mean, is your default formation the one called “Default” or have you changed it to be a formation with a different name? Never mind, I’ve just looked at the database and answered my question, you haven’t done that :)
If you’re talking about cutting off some letters it’s ok, we do that to make the names smaller in the report, replay and formation screens :)

In a match between Santos and America RN Frank Deigendesch from Santos was injured, but in match report it was shown as “2 min: F. Deigende (h) is injured.”

Unfortunately yes. The cost should be proportional but it isn’t yet. In your example you should pay 400k for 100 seats and 4.5M for the other 900 to go from 39900 to 40900. Enjoy while you can, we’ll change that ;)

I have 36200 seats at the moment, is it smarter to add 3 times 1000 seats, reach 39200, then add 700 seats, reach 39900, then start adding by 1000 seats again (because 1000 seats at 39900 cost 4M and at 40000 they start to cost 5M) ?
A co-worker reported a similar problem Stramazi. Have you changed your default formation? He has and I’m afraid this could be the cause. I’ll review the logic which gets the formation for the match and post here if I can find any bug.

Looks like if your performance is fine, when you expand 1000 seats, you make 10000$ more per each home match and 10000$ every week from Sponsors. This means in a 20 teams league minimum 200000$ for matches and 480000$ from Sponsors a season. So this makes sense.
This also means you get much more per seat from Sponsors than from selling tickets
Those values are for Sponsorship + Merchandise Hugo, so everything looks fine. Good point, though. :D

You didn’t ask me Alban, I have the portuguese title, I am 15 overall and 2nd ranked manager for portuguese league! I am still in top at my league, even playing much less now! It’s a bit difficult to improve in overall ranking because our league has less games (good for international competitions, bad for money and points).
My team only gets 220k income for sponsorship, and 110k for merchandising… I have outstanding performance from my board, and I receive a lot of messages with good results from the board, this is due to the low expectations they have :) like this season (the lowest expectations ever):
League expectation: Stay in division
Cup expectation: Reach the round of 16
International expectation: Reach the round of 16
My stadium has 46200 seats and I really would like to get more sponsorship :) too!!!
And by the way, check those teams stadiums lol it can’t be 10xseats or the cap is not working lol

I see some options for what happened:
1) The old bug where an unavailable player is not automatically replaced by someone in the same position (in your case an unavailable midfielder was replaced by an attacker)
2) A 4:3:3 formation you have was setup for the match against me while a different formation was 4:4:2
3) Another bug we are not aware of yet.
As always, I’ll take a look to make sure everything looks fine and will let everybody know if there is a bug.

Interesting numbers Alban, my sponsorship (Flamengo) is a little less than 200k and merchandise a little more than 100k :-)
Sponsorship is directly related to the team performance, but the better the performance the longer it takes for the sponsorship to increase. I’m pretty sure I’ve limited the sponsorship value according to the stadium, something like stadium size x 10, so if you have a 40,000 seats stadium your sponsorship will be no more than 400,000. The maximum sponsorship value a team can earn is around 1,000,000 but this is way too hard to reach it. (Maybe Fiorentina from ManagerSim old days would receive something around that ;) )
Merchandise in the other hand is attached to your top player’s quality. When I say top players I mean 6 best defenders, 6 best midfielders, 4 best attackers and 2 best goalkeepers. There is no limit for this value, even though it will usually be less than your sponsorship. Remember that while better players will increase the merchandise value, they will also increase the board expectation.

Hi, I asked some of the top clubs’ managers about their Spons/Merch income and was surprized to get so many honest answers !

I didn’t get the answers from 2 leagues, but it really looks like the difference is very smooth (yeah, I thought that Brazilian top clubs would earn about 1,000,000 each 3 turns). This also shows that still, if you want “greens every week” like in MS, you’d better have low wages by using players from your youths or just negotiating alone :)
By the way, if you want to have 2 lvl 10 departments, be ready to spend 480k per 3 turns (23M per season).
Though I would like to know if the difference really exists, because Atletico’s 650k is still much more than Boca’s 400k.
My own team is #1 in Brazilian second league and my average income is only 230k and my Board is not happy with me.
A question to the developers:

What could happen with my team position. I put 4:4:2 and it plays 4:3:3. My attacker Guido Ros was in the middle and other players change his positions. I went to set the players configuration right after the 18:00 O’clock update!
PS. This game was against you with Flamengo! And I win it.: ) just don’t know how!
And congrats for the last inprovements in coaching and phisio, they really don’t take any time lkike you said before!
