It will be too complex to do at from start. Let’s get everything working with the 1:1 ratio and implement the dynamic ratio later on. ;)
Nice suggestion, Davison. We have a general chat room planned, it will be really fun! :)
the reason being is because of the 25 pm limit… its hard to negotiate with limits.
i think it would help to have a chat room or just a chat room in general to help out negotiations.
each of the 4 groups should consist of 2 european and 2 south american … while i’m writing this i wonder why the proportion is 1:1 (8:8 teams) – there are 7 european leagues and 4 south american (~2:1) … or better: the proportion should depend on how strong the two continental asssociations are – or is this dynamic ratio too complex to integrate ?!
.
Ok, I accept you suggestion, amacb :)
How about a small playoff to determine the last two teams from Cl and LA instead of CPU picking. Four loosing teams in quarter-finals facing each other the same round the semi-finals played. It would be more fair i think.
hehe… don’t do so… otherwise how could we get players for nothing ( albeit at higher wage rate:) )
My feeling so far:
>World Cup with 16 clubs (32 is too much right now) split in 4 groups
>The 6 best on Champions League, 6 best on Libertadores, 2 best on UEFA and 2 best on Sudamericana qualify for the World Cup
>5th and 6th best on CL and LA will be decided by team quality, so the 2 best teams knocked out in the quarter-finals
This is a difficult question…
I like the first option too because teams from all countries would participate, but I don’t like the possibility of CL, LA, UEFA and Sud losing “glamour”.
If instead of moving-down the international spots to place the World cup ones, we put them in parallel? So, the better qualified teams in each league would be participating in the World Cup and also in CL and LA… The managers would have to take more care about the stamina and all countries would have a chance to play in WC.
Cheers
I also choose option 2b. If you only can play 1 international competition every season, you can better delete CL, LA, UEFA and CS. Like Philipp said half of the teams will play international. I don’t think that’s good for the game. You need to be able to fight for an international spot. CL, LA,… won’t have any glamour anymore.
.
For concentration of the benefits: I don’t think the teams who will qualify for the world cup will be the same every season. There are a lot of good teams at the moment. Only teams like Hertha and perhaps Benfica will have a benefit because their competions aren’t that strong.
Managers also need to take care of the stamina of their teams, they can’t play every match with their best 11. This gives chances for teams who doesn’t play in international competitions to reach this international spots…
What happened is that when the managers were fired, the player contract was very close to its end so they were not renewed by the cpu. Maybe I’ll change the logic so that the cpu “take a look” at those players.
Did Ravenna go into administration?? A player worth 36 million was in the free market… or was he sold to the game system ? Danilo Campello was in the free market last night. how did that happen… did the computer player just fire him because they couldn’t pay 19K worth his wages or did they get something for him??
just curious… ( actually i missed out on him narrowly… lets not go into that..)
Another promising player was also in the free market at the same time and this was also a similar situation. Sebastien Kalb , and luckily i could get him…
But still i am not able to understand whether these computer-players get anything in return for firing those players ( or is it actually firing… i read somewhere that when the club goes bankrupt, the higher wage earning players were sold to the game system, never to return again to the game. But seeing them on free transfer makes me wonder…)
Parag, sorry for the missunderstanding, but I was talking about the friendly formation on official matches :).
cheers
Ok thanks..
Well, Hopefully something gets done,
meanwhile, Because of “match fixing” PSG will have to fight real hard to reach International Competitions next Season, they will have to fight, for example they are in 6th place with 52 points, my team is in 9th place with 48 points, between us two are Rennes and Bordeaux who are really good teams, and have great chances to get a better place.

Not at all, sponsorship is directly related to your team’s score in the teams ranking.
@Alban: I agree, the number of shots is still too high
@Parag: it makes sense to reduce the board dramatically, currently we fix the maximum board loss in 10% per match (not considering penalties for not accomplishing goals)
well, i don’t want a direct interference, but some in-game checks could be kept in place.
For eg; if you lose any official games by more than certain no of goals (say 10), your board appreciation falls by more than usual percentage (for eg, 25% or 50%) and repetition of such results within the same season could lead to manager being fired… (especially when u r in the top half of the league)
yah… we are going to have europa league from next season onwards… i think its better
i am for the first option…
Alban, I don’t think rubysoccer should interfere in this kind of choice made by the manager. People may really want this kind of situation. Maybe we could have some kind of warning, though.

Here is the issue with the lineup for friendlies.
in the last 5 friendlies
PSG has lined up:
With 5 matches:
Dorian Demay
Emeric Colas
Geraldo Franco
Hakan Chesnel
Jean-Marie Geslin
Kamel Moine
Lambert Gueret
Nabil Lechat
Oscar Rémy
Pape Oger
Vanderlei Lins
Dorian Brule
With 4 matches:
Domenico Lo Sacco
With 1 match:
Daniele Vecchiarelli
as you can see PSG HAS a lineup specialy for friendlies.
And I do not think it was a mistake that non-senior players played an official match and i think this was done in Purpose.
Gabriel can you please explain if the board expectation affects your sponsorship income or not? I am making 150k on avg right for some time now and i am wondering if its normal or not.
I dont know about CL but LA right now is not so different than Copa do Brazil with always Brazilian teams playing each other in the later stages.
I am in for combining Cl with LA.
no no no, don’t u ppl see it or is it just me? It’s just to spare all the main players stamina. In real life coaches will put in some yought like 2/3 to spare some ppl for the bigger games. You can say this is a small bug in the engine ok, fine i can agree on that. Firing a manager at once will be a rly drastic discision though, maybe more adjustments on the preformance @ the board page?
I think everyone can make a mistake and set a friendly squad for an official match. I recommend to implement a widget to prevent that. And I think even a 60 kep gk can perform better. This wouldn’t happen if the number of shots was closer to reality
