I think in real life shots from angles are very effective. So many teams play with LC+RC and it works. But why did I waste all those 400M+ on midfielders with 80+ in shooting ? In real life midfielders score VERY OFTEN, in Ruby only by chance, once in 20 matches, maybe more often…

I think it shouldnt be just about distance, lets not forget about the shooting angle. Diagonal shots should be less accurate or less likely to result in goal as apposed to shots facing goal.
The difference is that attackers on LC or RC will have to run a little bit more to be closer to the goal, once they are in the range their shots are as effective as an attacker on C position. But of course, the C attacker is more likely to shoot more and be closer to the goal.

Gabriel, they may be closer / in range to shoot…but won’t there shots still be less effective as the AC ? Stronger shots will results in more goals and a more tired keeper. Shooting from A LC or A RC won’t do that enough?

Maybe it’s because even when the player miss the pass, if a teammate gets the ball it is considered a good pass.

I agree with all that you said, guys. This kind of investigation is never easy for us and of course we want to improve that. The newspaper is currently on Danilo’s hands (keep complaining, maybe he’ll do things faster ;) ) and this history page (already planned) shouldn’t be hard to build now that we have transfer information stored. I’ll take care of that.
In MS the club had a history page. It had all the info about transfers, loans and etc.
well, its been long since we have had any improvement to the newspaper section, may be revealing transfers occurred in the previous turns could be one way to do so. More importance should be given to club to club transfers. they should appear in the headlines on the basis of amount they were transferred. and may be free transfers and fired players details could be given in the back pages.

I think that there should be an improvement to the transfer system, I think that there should be more information about the transfers that happen, (this could be solved by a Newspaper, or even a “transfer” page where everyone can see ALL the transfers that are happening EVERYWHERE this way nobody will doubt about other players.
Well, not impossible, but maybe we’re doing like you say, scoring a goal counting much more than preventing a high risk goal situation.

Yes, but it will still not compare with Attackers. It will never happen that a defender has more “man of the matches” then an Attacker at the end of the season. Still, wonder if there is a logical mathematical reason for this. Perhaps with the current way of coding, it’s impossible for a D to get a higher rating overall at the end of the season then a Attacker?
I don’t think it is a cheat even though I haven’t questioned the managers. Fortaleza’s manager is a friend of a co-worker and CRB’s manager is a cousin of another co-worker of mine so some kind of “secret” deal may have ocurred.
These guys have never caused problems before and it seems they manage their teams seriously.
I’ll talk to my co-workers, check if they know something.
