well, in all my honesty, i never saw this post… might have been during my exams period,… that was the time i got fired:( … although i got fired, i think a manager should never be allowed to think that his position in the team is irrepleceable… there should always be a chance that manager gets fired, and it is in ruby soccer, which is a good thing.

but there needs to be a lot of factors to become a good manager… well, when i was with bordeaux, i really loved the club, but then things didn’t work out… but that doesn’t mean i am down and out… i will fight my way back.. i have learned a lot from my bordeaux experience…

also sly, i think you have learned from your Everton experience in MT (where you had a 22 match losing streak) , a manager without enough funds and good players cannot really do much. but then these things are a part of real life or any other experience…

lets see what i can do with levante in spain in FT… i have reached the primera division, but then looking at other teams and their players, it seems a lot more hard to stay in the division than it was in france… well… lets hope for the best… and in MT, i guess Zwolle in Netherlands is doing quite well… if things go well as they have been currently, i might be in my first champions league :)

what we need to consider is, in real life, the league winning bonus is not a very huge percentage of the clubs income source. Ticket Prices ( very good source, depending on your fanbase and stadium size), TV Revenue ( another good source of income), Merchandise and Players Transfers are the main factors. Keeping this thing in mind, we could play around with the league bonus…

just hoping that winner and higher places finish get their recognition, and also doesn’t create a huge divide in the league

by the way i had another thing in mind too… i am not sure if all the leagues have this provision, but, in EPL, three new entrantsto the premier league get 50m at the end of the season. Newly promoted clubs bank this fund and get loan so that they can get some good players. No, i am not suggesting this should be implemented, but then i thought with all these discussions around it would be a good time to plant this idea into game administrators mind:)… and i am also not suggesting it should be 50m, i am just stating what happens in EPL.

But should not be like this! We know that is not easy to sell players in this game, so they should not be counted… Or the limit lowered

They say the team is too small because they don’t count the loaned and transfer/loan list players. You just have to remove someone from the transfer/loan list to fire the other player.

I’m trying to contract new players, but when I try I receive a message that my squad plus the transactions (3) are bigger then 30. But when I try to fire a player, I receive a message that my squad is too small! This doesn’t make sense!
And that is some teams with 15 players… How can they do this?
I think this low limit of squad size should be relaxed.
Thanks!

To be honest the whole economy should and will be reviewed. Sponsorship, merchandise, player wages, etc. There are a few improvements planned for a long time regarding wage negotiation. These are smaller things and will probably be implemented before this review and won’t affect the economy that much.

Now that we will see, only if the portuguese crew can’t stop you :P

We too have some teams rising very fast, Beira Mar, Estrela, Rio Ave have promising squads and the last season was the most competitive ever :)

Good luck for us all :D

Does anyone else experience this awful laggy performance ? Is it because of 37 managers are logged in ?

I’m with vaughn on the wages, mine aren’t particularly high but i lose around 100k when i don’t have a home game. Wages should be somehow comparative to value ( i’m sure they already are ), so that if someone is paying 100mil for a player they’re going to have to pay the wages to go with it, reducing the richer teams earning potential.

Looks like Alexander’s Napoli is the “fighting for title” team this season. Or is it Mantova or Palermo, would be a suprise…
@Vaughn: indeed, again an interesting season…Italy is growing to become the second best country in Europe.

Regarding graphics, I didn’t ask for a Russia country symbol for 2 reasons:
- I didn’t want to reveal Russia was gonna be added ;)
- The page design will change soon and we probably won’t use the spherical symbols anymore (you’ll see why)
Danilo is using the newspaper layout you suggested, by the way, it’s really nice!

We need 18 teams, which are (not sure about rankings last season, but supposing this was the bottom up country ranking):
- worst on Russia (2nd place)
- worst on Netherlands (2nd place)
- worst on Germany (3rd place)
- worst on Italy (3rd place)
- worst on France (3rd place)
- worst on England (4th place)
- worst on Portugal (4th place)
- worst on Spain (4th place)
Then we start bottom up again:
- 2nd worst on Russia (1st place)
- 2nd worst on Netherlands (1st place)
- 2nd worst on Germany (2nd place)
- 2nd worst on Italy (2nd place)
- 2nd worst on France (2nd place)
- 2nd worst on England (3rd place)
- 2nd worst on Portugal (3rd place)
- 2nd worst on Spain (3rd place)
2 teams to go:
- 3rd worst on Russia (none, only had 2 spots)
- 3rd worst on Netherlands (none, only had 2 spots)
- 3rd worst on Germany (1st place)
- 3rd worst on Italy (1st place)
I know, that’s not real life logic, but you should agree it’s fair. With more countries the top countries champion won’t be on Qualifying round anymore ;)

i have some small comments (not gonne make a new topic :P);

- wages
Should be kept this way, i only get like $400.000 per 3ticks on a home game and lose $80.000 on a not home game. I got only coaching 9 to keep the costs lower, how in earth would it be better to make the wages higher? I’m not a small club, but higher wages would ruin ALOT of small clubs cause they can’t pay the wages! I try to keep my wages small at all costs, but because of the previous managers i’m kinda forced to give them 15/20k all the time.

- transfer
We really need a longer time to think about a transfer i think, 3 ticks is REALLY fast for a transfer in my opinion. I think if you move that up to 9 and let managers “overbit” on the current transfer price there would come more interaction.

- graphics (new)
i think someone was to lazy to ask for a new country symbol for Russia !!!?!???!?!

Cheers! XD

That is because of the country ranking. The order it get teams to play qualifying is from the worst country on the ranking. So, it would be russia, netherlands and germany.

Right. Thanks Gabriel. Then of you guys in Italy has spend a lot of cash for new players because the previous season I had ‘fight for the title’ and ‘reach the final’.
Good luck to you all!

By your goals the conclusion is your team is the second best in Italy. If your goal in the cup is reach the final you’re either the best or second best, we don’t have a win the cup goal for the cups. If you goal in the league is qualify for CL and you have 4 CL spots you could be the second, third or fourth best team in your country, if you were the first your goal would be “Fight for the title”. Conclusion, you’re the second best.
