I think that is planned, at least the fist and second suggestion, we just need to wait till there are enough countries to implement that.

Now It was nice to see group stages about 5 seasons ago, but now it is time to even improve them further. I think any manager in this game just LOVES international play.

I know it’s not nice to always keep bringing up Managersim, since you work hard on this game, but I will. I want to see the international games totally change. Having it like it was on managersim. I wouldn’t mind having a vote here among the “challanging” teams.

I would like to see the games spread out during the season. Why do we want to “ram” it though right away? It go’s by to fast! I want to suggest the following things.

- Spreading CL games out through out the season.
I think it’s fun to play CL games, and I hate to have to wait for it untill tick 90 andd it being over within 20 ticks (if you don’t get past group).

- In the future I wouldn’t mind getting a Round 1 and Round 2. I assume it’s not possible now with no teams around, but isn’t there a way to dream up something here so it is possible? Expanding the teams allowed to play internatiol games? This would be stepping away from reality. Option?

- The qualifying CL teams should move to UEFA/EL if they don’t qualify. This might help against “cheating”. Teams losing because they want to have uefa instead of CL. If you don’t qualify for CL you are out. Why risk it if you can be in UEFA without qualifying? This is not a good representations of reality. I’m not saying everything has to be, but this is a good example where it should.

I would like to see some votes here and know from Gabriel if there are options here or even plans on these things in the future.

Regards,
Sylvain from Brest

I was at Empoli and recently moved to Vasco.

In about 7-10 games with the team last season, I kind of just kept the job that was done by the last manager. This season I got several good players and I’m keeping up with what is expected by the board, middle in table. The problem is that when I win nothing happens, when I lose their approval go down 1-2%. I started the season at about 20% and now I’m down to 3%, about to get fired.

I’ve no clue of what is going on… Could it be a bug? Aren’t they asking for to much if their expectations/team is not great???

The newspaper is (will be) one of the biggest functionalities on rubysoccer’s history. This first version will only contain match result articles, but we will add more types of articles on the fly. It will be very easy to contribute with the newspaper, so we hope to have lots of different questions.

for the newspaper, try to get (if implented) the questions to managers more random then MS was. Every month the same questions are getting boring :)
This was interview wise then ofc :)

1) no
2) no
3) no

I just open mail and click match result. And then I can click team name or result and will get to the login page. I don’t get logged out because I can click “back” and continue browsing inside the game.

I would like to add that you can write articles both from the winner point of view or the loser point of view. For example:
Flamengo beats Vasco. As expected, Flamengo had no problems against Vasco on this league match.
OR
Vasco defeated by Flamengo. As expected, Vasco had no chances against Flamengo on this league match.

that’s economically useless to increase the stadiums…even if I have 50k seats filled every home game, this will bring 15M maximum of income – less than 1 transfer =)

If his rating is less than 5 he definitely screwed up :D
When he plays the entire match he has more time to participate in the game and have higher ratings. As I mentioned in other topic, I’ve created an enhancement to better evaluate the player effectiveness in the match.

There are 3 scenarios:
1) you are already logged in and inside a dimension before clicking the link
In this case you’re probably logged in on rubysoccer.com while the links refer to www.rubysoccer.com
2) you are logged in but is not inside any dimension
In this case you are directed to the enter dimension page
3) you are not logged in
In this case you are directed to the login page
For scenarios 2 and 3 what we could do is store the link you originally wanted to go to and as soon as you enter a dimension take you to that page. For scenario 2 we could try to make you automatically enter the right dimension and take you to the page. Not as simple as it seems.

Merchandising income is proportional to the players’ quality, the thing is the numbers are ready for really, really crap players, not the good ones you have in Russia, that’s why the difference is not that big :D
And yes, if you perform well and get top players like top Brazilian teams your income will be 500k per week as well.

Do you have the impression that you could write some good articles, for our incoming newspaper, regarding rubysoccer match results? If the answer to that question is YES, we need your help NOW ! The newspaper will only be available after we have enough articles to start with. Below are the instructions on how to proceed.

INSTRUCTIONS

- Please write the article in english. You can use other languages, but it might take a while for your suggestion to be inside the game
- Include your rubysoccer login somewhere in the email
- We need 3 different sizes of body text articles, measured in characters (including special types and spaces). The sizes are [minimum,maximum]: [560, 1120] , [440 , 880] and [100 , 200]. Please point out, in your suggestion, what size did you choose.
- Despite of the size of the body text, your article needs a title. Use common sense to write the title, in terms of size
- For each one of the possible article sizes, you can choose one of the following article classifications (please identify that classification in your email)

note: ANY is different than 0.

> [0,nil] Expected Result => example: expected ANYx0 result ANYx0
> [0,0] Expected Result x Expected scores => example: expected 1×0 result 1×0
> [0,1] Expected Result x Small positive difference from expected scores => example: expected 1×0 result 2×0
> [0,2] Expected Result x Medium positive difference from expected scores => example: expected 1×0 result 3×0
> [0,3] Expected Result x Large positive difference from expected scores => example: expected 1×0 result 4×0
> [0,4] Expected Result x Small negative difference from expected scores => example: expected 4×0 result 3×0
> [0,5] Expected Result x Medium negative difference from expected scores => example: expected 4×0 result 2×0
> [0,6] Expected Result x Large negative difference from expected scores => example: expected 4×0 result 1×0
> [1,nil] UNExpected Result => example: expected ANYx0 result 0xANY
> [1,1] UNExpected Result x Small difference from expected scores => example: expected 1×0 result 0×1
> [1,2] UNExpected Result x Medium difference from expected scores => example: expected 1×0 result 0×2
> [1,3] UNExpected Result x Large difference from expected scores => example: expected 1×0 result 0×3
> [2,nil] TIE => example: result 1×1
> [2,0] TIE x Expected scores => example: expected 1×1 result 1×1
> [2,1] TIE x Small difference from expected scores => example: expected 1×0 result 1×1
> [2,2] TIE x Medium difference from expected scores => example: expected 2×0 result 1×1
> [2,3] TIE x Large difference from expected scores => example: expected 3×0 result 1×1

- If, in the middle of the text (body or title), you want to input a variable, consider the following example expressions:
% {match.home_team.name} => Home Team Name
% {match.visitor_team.name} => Visitor Team Name
% {match.winner_team.name} => Winner Team Name
% {match.loser_team.name} => Loser Team Name
% {match.expected_winner.name} => Expected Winner Team Name
% {match.expected_loser.name} => Expected Loser Team Name
% {match.result} => Match Result (in the form HOMExVISITOR)
% {match.attendance} => Match Attendance
% {match.type} => Champions League, Serie A, FA Cup, etc
% {OR WRITE ANYTHING YOU WANT HERE, AND WE WILL PUT THE CORRECT EXPRESSION FOR YOU}

- After it is done, mail it to admins at rubysoccer.com . You can also post it here, but keep in mind that this might spoil the surprise :)

I am trying to develop a player of mine “João José Augusto” really hard so i have been giving him playing time in official games on top of friendlies. I think he is already a decent player but his performance as a sub has been terrible. His stamina is high by the way.

He averaged below 4 rating the first 6 league games not scoring once and in 26 friendlies averaged 6.8 against weak reserve teams coming as a substitute at 55th minute.

Last league game he gets 90 mins gets 9.7 rating and scores a goal.

So basically i wonder why the player performance drops this much coming off the bench. Any ideas?

When I get an email with a match result or telling that the free transfer went to another club. If I click it, I get to the RS login page. Same happens if I click on a link to a player from this forum.

7 managers already….some people pay 100k wages to loaned in players……totally crazy. In fact, it will be interesting to see, who has better tactics – managers who use own prospects or those who loan better ones. And with that low income it will be difficult to loan + develop, I am sure.

Too bad I don’t really remember, but in America-RN my income from Sponsorship + Merchandising was about 500k per week.

Nowadays in CSKA I get 200k, which is 170-180k from merchandise and about 20k from sponsorship.

Firstly, it looks that income from merchandising is about the same in Russia and Brazil…how can that happen in Rubysoccer ?

Secondly, I thought that merchandising income is proportional to the players’ quality, looks like it is not.

And the question – if I get players like top Brazilian teams have, will my income be 500k per week, too ?

In Russia teams with 13k seats get full stadiums all the time…That’s not realistic. Either the stadiums should be bigger…either weaker teams with 13k seats should get 5-7k attendance
