Even though there is still a lot to do in the match engine I decide to release a package of changes:

- decision to shoot depends on how many players are between the attacker and the goal, since now the shot can be intercepted
- players are more aware when the path to the goal is free so they can decide to run instead of passing the ball
- defenders will try to stay close to attackers when opponent has the ball
- players can pass the ball to teammates behind when there are no suitable teammates ahead

These changes are already in place. Please give your feedback in the improvements discussion topic.

GROUP A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay and France

GROUP B: Argentina, Nigeria, Korea Republic and Greece.

GROUP C: England, U.S.A., Algeria and Slovenia.

GROUP D: Germany, Australia, Serbia and Ghana.

GROUP E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan and Cameroon.

GROUP F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand and Slovakia.

GROUP G: Brazil, Korea DPR, Cote d’Ivoire and Portugal.

GROUP H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras and Chile.

My predictions in italics with some of my personal wild cards in bold…

Group F & G should be mighty interesting (can’t wait to see Brazil vs Portugal). Imagine a Portugal vs. Spain game…ay ay ay the Iberian Peninsula will literally explode.

…still not as bad as this game played last year (season 31).

Is this result a joke?

Lens 3 – 3 Monaco
3-4-3 formation 4-4-2
47% possession 53%
4 shots 19
4 shots on target 16
84% accurrate passes 91%
52% effective tackles 45%
2 corners 3
9 offsides 3
18 fouls 13

Obviously, I haven’t gotten over it hehehe.

The empty spaces are there cause nobody is writing article templates anymore. If anybody is interested I can post the ones we’re still missing.

stats aren’t really importent i think in this matter, the weird part is i get a bad result playing against a better team

nah, i am not angry charles… just trying to highlight the flaws… same case could translate to official matches too… and gab you are right about the need of friendlies in newspaper…

i had one more suggestion about newspaper. sometimes we don’t have any news in some sections of newspaper, in those cases why not create a news about the match for the current manager. For eg, if there is an empty column, and there is no news about my team, then a news about my team could appear in the news paper :) this may not be 100% solution, but then worth a try…

I think we didn’t even need friendlies in the newspaper :)
Maybe when we have other types of news they won’t be there anyway.

i just wanted to point out that team selected for friendlies should be the worst 11 ( i am not saying that does not happen, that is what happens for CPU teams ), and thus newspaper should also use this factor… rather than the best 11

Auxerre 10 × 0 Levante

On paper this game had a draw written all over it. However, to everyone’s suprise Auxerre triumphed in a closely fought game.

@ amacb: Keeper sucks??? 100 GK ,94 speed and 100 heading. I wish I had a goalie like that. I also took a look at the team set-up and the GK of Napoli in the 2nd half sucks. So Vaughn really had to score one goal.
For me Napoli was just lucky or had choosen the right tactics.

@amacb, what the hell… did you really check his keepers skill ratings??

Dude, first…. your keeper sucks, he is not really good, i mean even he looks like he had a decent game with 8.5 rating he lets in 3 at home. I think you should be grateful that you didnt loose by a bigger margin, the away striker hat-trick hero got 7.6 rating and his partners 4.2 and 5.4. Imagine if they had a good day.

So i think you shouldnt complain too much.

I guess they just look at the final result and the 3 points. :) They expected you draw or loose with a closer score (0-1, 0-2)
Napoli is lucky now maybe you are lucky at the end of the season and get the league victory. ;)

Can someone explain this;

1. board expectations (juventus)
League Qualify for Champions League

2. From: The Board / Subject: Bad result
We are disappointed with your result against Napoli.

3. Stats of the game
Juventus 0 × 3 Napoli
4-4-2 formation 4-4-2
52% possession 48%
24 shots 18
22 shots on target 15
88% accurrate passes 89%
62% effective tackles 55%
7 corners 3
1 offsides 4
9 fouls 21

How can i get a bad result against the best team in Italy when actually my board is aware that teams are in stats better then me. Do they actually look at the stats i had in game? Always that bad results happend when a team overall is better/worse in stats.

Probably, first we need to either make the Board unhappy when the number of players is too high or implement players morale to make it more difficult to handle a bigger squad since just a few will have first team opportunities. The second option is far more interesting :)

Certain fixtures are fixed in international competitions and 1st round of local cup. For example in Libertadores and CL the group stage is always played at 98,101…and 113 . However you can schedule friendlies at these dates. Those friendlies are gonna be either canceled or rescheduled for the qualifying teams. It would be nice to make those dates void for the teams that are set to play them.

I found something intresting. I know this player isn’t “the best” in the game. Far from it offcourse, but because he spend most of his years in division two this player has a scoring ratio of 1.78 per game. We all know the likes of Alberto Chaves in this game, who is in many oppinions the best striker in ruby. His scoring ratio is 1.62. Offcourse he does it in one of the hardest leagues in Rubysoccer…..but still :). I think this unknown player has done something pretty funny :).Have a look and see for yourself:

Games played: 435
Goals scored: 775

Is there anyone out there, perhaps also in a division 2 who can beat this scoring record?
