Considering that, during the youth academy, players receive double experience, it’d be interesting if the player history displayed the moment that the player went PRO and how many friendly matches they played each season.

On another topic, any plans to add my other suggestion about turns remainning on contract renewals?

I have no reasons to believe it’s not working since there were no updates to the match engine since that change was implemented…and it was working by that time :)

I don’t care if the managers know each other or not. I just think it’s stupid to have 7 transfers in 1 season between 2 team. Sounds kinda unfair. I like the “trade+cash” idea. It brings some depth to an otherwise simple Football manager game I can easely play on my desktop offline. But 7 players? Are kidding me? Again I refer to managersim. I like all above idea’s. Limitations for new managers, wage caps etc etc. Btw Filipe, if you know who I refer to, then you also know 1 of these managers was fired before. Idea’s given above here in this topic could have prevented the way this manager “cheated”.

Sly, If you are refering to the teams I think you are there is nothing smelling wrong :D I know both managers from diferent places and they don’t know eachother, I believe that was an exchange of players arrangement by them… But it may be other case since the ones I’m talking about are here for some time…

About the rule I’m in favour, in FM we can even chose transfers not to be accessible in the firs season…

Football Manager (desktop, not online) has a transfer budget defined on season start. It is always less than your amount of money and a percentage of the profit from players being sold is added to this budget. Similarly there is a wage budget. I think we could use this idea and improve them based on how long the manager has been in the game and how long has the manager been in the team.

is that stamina percentage deduction thing working properly???
i lost an away match to a team whose average stamina was 74%. my first team was better than his and i was playing with 4-5 players above 30…

i just had a similiar idea, maybe this a good point to bring it up.
how about a limit that new managers can spend in their new club within the first season. Like 10% of the club capital, maximum 15M. Maybe this would slow down cheaters.
Just an idea, not sure if it’ thats clever or not …

Interesting. Maybe just 1 or 2 transfter if it is a fresh/novice manager

If manager has more than 3 seasons he can trade 4 players

I´m very surprise with my last game against Real Madrid in FT.

Our first match I win (3×5) playing as guest. The second playing home and with a new and much better goalkeeper I lost (1×2). All my team have crap scores comparing with other games. We both play almost with the same squad and formation and all my player were playing with 97+ stamina

Managersim use to have a rule that made sure 2 teams could only have a total of 3 transfers between each other each season.

I think this can be intresting. I don’t want to point anyone out just yet, but I’ve seen certain teams have 7 transfers between each other. Now thats just sad and unrealistic. I think this embargo could also potentially stop cheating way’s. I meen, I’ve been playing this game for about 16 seasons now, and I think I’ve never had more then 2 transfers from 1 team. Now…to get 7, that just doesn’t smell right :).

Anyone in favour?

My opinion is that when a team loans a player, a contract is stablished. The old rule was bad for the teams who used loaned players. When someone says “you can use my player for 144ticks”, it should really mean that, not “you can use it until who nows when”…
A sell after the loan shoudn’t prejudice the loaner.
So, I think this new rule ir correct.
As a suggestion, I think that the buyer should be ablo to choose between taking the player immediatly, paying an indenization to the team who loaned the player. Or he could choose to wait until the end of the loan contract to use him.

already sold…
don’t be jealous… when i got to this team finance was really at a very bad condition. it took me some time but i could hire some free players and sell them at a good price after some time.
i think the only difference was that i was never greedy to ask outrageous prices for my players, which would frighten the suitors… i only asked those prices which i thought i would pay to get those players, so i had more turnover than others. But it doesn’t mean i can sustain going ahead at this rate… i need to have more turnovers to bolster my situation…

UPDATE: another good player sold for a reasonable price. I got him for free too…

I find it weird that so many “low skilled” keepers (85-90 main stat and no 80+ sec) get so many time man of the match which results in getting a nice suckout against teams that are crap!

I’m getting really frustrated to see my stats standing on 60%+ poss and 30+ shots every match and a crap keeper just becomes MOTM and u lose or tie. Seems like it is happening TO MUCH!

Sorry for my shouting and language, but i’m rly getting pissed off at this game.

I looked at your team before commenting so I knew why you are selling him. I think he has a high wage.. But it’s getting normal that these kind of players have high wages. I’m jealous at people like you who can afford those wage bills!

Good luck selling! Not to me ;) I have got better options

I’ve loaned a player for a period of 36 turns. Has passed like 40 turns and he didn’t leave. I didn’t renew his loan contract, I want him out! =)

edit: Nevermind, was my mistake. Sorry for wasting your time with this.

Agents should never get full transfer amount… may be we could pay some percentage… lets say 10%, but 100% will never get my support

Talking about free transfers, what are your opinion about what ManagerSim called agent fee? Let me explain for those who don’t know it. When players went to free transfer they were not available for free, but there was a value called agent fee that a team hiring the player would have to pay to the player agent. This value started close to the player estimated value and was reduced over time while the player was in the free transfer. I didn’t like it but I see some benefits in using it, like taking money out of the game, reduce the profit of millionaire teams who hire free players to sell them later, etc, etc.

Sly i have 4 strikers in above 95 range, who i got from free transfers.
Also i have two 18 and 20 year old young guns, both having shooting skills of 89 and 87 each. And 4 turns back, i got a 26 year old, 97 skill shooter from free market (total skill 630), who surprisingly is still improving :).

Profit and loss are relative. They are not always directly correlated with the transactions of a single player, but then with the overall transaction of the club itself. and if someone buys him for that amount i will consider it a success.

@paradokus, i am selling not because i think he wont improve anymore, but as i said above i have 4 strikers in the shooting range of 95 or above. and 2 of them are still in their 26 and 27. plus you will know a reason if you see my wage bill :)

although i am sure i can sustain for some time to come, but it is a good thing to gain some amount from selling those players who i won’t be using and reduce my wage bill :)

I think it is a very fair price for this player.. But I also think you’d be a good tellsell host. This guy would be a star for top ranked teams in the newer countries or in most second divisions but I don’t think his stats will have great improvements. As is said you bought him for 3 and are selling him for 1,5… That is probably not without a reason ;)

at best he can unlock 25 stats. So you sell with a loss? you only bought him 1 season ago for 3 million :)
