Managersim use to have a rule that made sure 2 teams could only have a total of 3 transfers between each other each season.
I think this can be intresting. I don’t want to point anyone out just yet, but I’ve seen certain teams have 7 transfers between each other. Now thats just sad and unrealistic. I think this embargo could also potentially stop cheating way’s. I meen, I’ve been playing this game for about 16 seasons now, and I think I’ve never had more then 2 transfers from 1 team. Now…to get 7, that just doesn’t smell right :).
Anyone in favour?
interesting…
I am :)
Interesting. Maybe just 1 or 2 transfter if it is a fresh/novice manager
If manager has more than 3 seasons he can trade 4 players
i just had a similiar idea, maybe this a good point to bring it up.
how about a limit that new managers can spend in their new club within the first season. Like 10% of the club capital, maximum 15M. Maybe this would slow down cheaters.
Just an idea, not sure if it’ thats clever or not …
Football Manager (desktop, not online) has a transfer budget defined on season start. It is always less than your amount of money and a percentage of the profit from players being sold is added to this budget. Similarly there is a wage budget. I think we could use this idea and improve them based on how long the manager has been in the game and how long has the manager been in the team.
Sly, If you are refering to the teams I think you are there is nothing smelling wrong :D I know both managers from diferent places and they don’t know eachother, I believe that was an exchange of players arrangement by them… But it may be other case since the ones I’m talking about are here for some time…
About the rule I’m in favour, in FM we can even chose transfers not to be accessible in the firs season…
I don’t care if the managers know each other or not. I just think it’s stupid to have 7 transfers in 1 season between 2 team. Sounds kinda unfair. I like the “trade+cash” idea. It brings some depth to an otherwise simple Football manager game I can easely play on my desktop offline. But 7 players? Are kidding me? Again I refer to managersim. I like all above idea’s. Limitations for new managers, wage caps etc etc. Btw Filipe, if you know who I refer to, then you also know 1 of these managers was fired before. Idea’s given above here in this topic could have prevented the way this manager “cheated”.
There is no reason for them not to be able to trade 7 players other than the possibility of cheating, which in that case didn’t occurred… You may be suspicious about that manager history but I’m sure about the other :)
Talk to me in private so we can use names :D this twou and one and other is too confuse
sly, whoever the managers may be, lets not use the term “cheating” here in forum against anyone unless it has been proved.
well, I could have said “abused the system” or “bended the rules”….but its all the same if you ask me :)
I think Sly might be stationed too close to the Hague International Court on War Crimes :D
I like all the ideas
1. Set a limited spending for first season managers (this should greatly cut down on cheaters) And perhaps add an additional year where spending is doubled
year 1: 20% of the bank
year 2: 40% of the bank
year 3: Go to the casino :)
In the last 4 seasons I have seen many French teams bleed dry from cheaters
2.Transfer limitation between same managers in a single season
Put a limit of 2 transfers if both transfers go one way
Put a limit of 3 transfers when 2 go one way and the 3d the opposite way
3. I think it would be best to introduce a No transfer window for a certain period of time. My proposition would be:
No Transfer Window
Starts at the end of the qualifying phase in continental competitions/ or end of the group phase in continental competitions
Ends at the end of global competitions. It should be somewhere between 60-70 ticks, so between 41-48% of the whole season with 144 ticks. Not eaxctly a window, but anyway.
Loans too, should no be allowed.
The ideas behind the proposals are:
1.Teams in the middle of the competitions cannot make drastic changes to their lineups and affect the competitions.
2. More focus will be spent on “home” grown talents in the current rosters
3. Limited transfer time should actually heat up the market a bit. Managers will have to think longer and wiser about the players they get
4. Give the managers to concentrate more on tactics perhaps since they cannot improve their tools (by better players) for the remaining of the competitions
Perhaps not transfers at all sounds a bit harsh, in which case we can turn in it into a One Transfer or Loan Window Only
i am against the transfer windows or “no transfer window” whatever name you may have given… i don’t think “too many transfers” is a problem in ruby soccer at the moment…
regarding first and second, they were already put forward above by sly and philipp, which are good ideas…
Hey mate,
I wasn’t stealing their ideas :P
I was simply regrouping all proposals in one place to keep track of them
i didn’t mean that ;)… dont worry
