i believe goalkeepers are now getting more MOTM because the midfielders and defenders are getting more shots at the goal rather than proper strikers. In my case i have seen 50% of shots coming from mids and defenders. so, these goalkeepers, most of the times save these shots and that is i think more of an important factor in making goalkeepers invaluable…

for eg, if a team has 30 shots on target and lets say 15 of them are from strikers and 15 from other players, goal keeper has more chances to save those latter 15 shots, which i think is good enough to give him a good rating…

( i am not saying other players shouldn’t get a strike, but it has certainly made goalkeepers look better… In real life tall defenders/midfielders are really handy during the corners and AMs ( attacking midfielders) are scoring more often… but i think we should still wait for some time, try more tactics before judging this new system…
I like the current system in the sense that it has brought down those too many high scoring matches… but i still can’t figure out how i could get a chance to score)

Gabriel, is it possible to extract statistic as to the scoring % of defenders, midfielders, and strikers? Since your changes, I’ve noticed that the attackers are no longer scoring very often…

Personally, I don’t find it very realistic to have one of my defenders scoring in 1 out of every 2 games.

@Nirabdha, I´m not complaining about match result. I just want to alert Gabriel that goalkeepers are getting very often MOTM. They are making too much difference. A lot of times they compensate a weak defence line. (not your case)

@ulisses, that was a pretty good match… my team having less no of shots does not mean that my shooters are bad, it is just because the way i want my players to shoot at the goal… you had 52% of possession against 48% of mine (that is ok given it was your home match)… which is not a great deal and moreover this percentage calculations is not accurate as gabriel said somewhere in the forum ( i will find it out someday for you).

And remember i beat you 2-1 in the reverse fixture… it is just how you use you players… and i believe after the recent changes no one is quite sure how they can find the best strategy, and i think we all are doing the same thing, trying to find a better strategy…

i am not saying that system is too worse… it is just that you picked the wrong match to complain…

I can´t afford striker 100 shooting, 100 dribble and 100 control :P for make games more interesting

Don’t say that, of course player skills play an important role ;)

There will be more fixing, the match engine changes were not completely done, I just decided to release what I already had. Financial will have to wait until the extended club world cup is done, since I promised this before :D

you have the option to ask for termination of loan contract… in most of the cases, people agree to terminate them.

i agree with the money penalty, but only if that money goes to the system rather than any of the teams…

this game has nothing to do with player skill it seems

i wish there was more fixing of such issues as this, the financial, and transfer value
same with formation issues

i agree

after a certain amount of time i think we should be able to voluntarily cancel the loan
especially if you have played that player

Hi, i think it would be a good thing to insert agent fees when signing a player in free transfer… it would prevent a bit more the money making tricks.

I know sometimes rand() my players don´t play well, but my two goalkeepers with average skills 94 and 93 (pretty good isn´t it?) had grades 4.9 and 5.7 in the same match.

And his goalkeeper has grade 10.0 with average skill 86!

The worst is 4 goals from players shooting skills: 73, 75, 72, 90 (ok, 90 is fine!) And I was playing with my first class defenders.

Maybe 1×0 or 2×0 would be more reasonable.

About “Schedule friendlies on season start”: is it scheduling home and aways or is it like the unfair way with computer team playing allways home and other away?

If wage and period are the same, the next criteria is worst club in terms of player quality, since it means a higher chance of being in the first team.

Since new match engine update my players grade has fallen 30%. Strikers are not working anymore and I lost the last game by a goal from a middle fielder with 78 shooting skill.

I ll have to think again about my tatics

For now it won’t set any specific formations, so if you don’t set it up it will use the default. We need to add a way to mark a formation as default for friendlies :P
In fact it will not send invitations, but create 48 friendly matches for you on season start, on turns 1, 4, 8 (7 is cup), 10, 14 (13 is cup), 16, 19 and so on.

There should be a clause in the contract to say that the player can or cannot be recalled from the loan at any time.

Had I known that the player I bought, who happened to be loaned out at the time, would not be released by the club who has him I never would have bought him.

- which lineup does it pick? The default? Isn’t there a way to set a lineup?
- does it invite 1 friendly per 3 ticks or does it invite to play 1 friendly per 3 ticks?

New option available on manager settings: “Schedule friendlies on season start?”.

Using this option friendlies will be scheduled automatically for your team on a new season start, the same way done for CPU teams. Your opponent will be randomly picked between CPU teams and other managers who also marked this new option and will be the same on all matches. There will be 48 matches scheduled, 1 every 3 turns.

I wouldn’t worry about losing points, looks like a match report position display issue rather than a match positioning problem.

@Nirabdha: sometimes strikers run backwards to try and find a better position for a shot.

@Dhimitri: I agree with you, just a correction, it’s FastTicker and MediumTicker, I know you’re using ManagerSim names :D

That is a nice idea… I didn’t think we were going to have problems with the number of articles, considering that it is not difficult to write, that is why it was not done like that…
