No luck with that setup either: 20 16-human PSV 6 0 2 4 4 10 2 (board expects me to be top 3).

I also noticed only three of my players have an avarage statistic of 6 or more…

Dirk is right, you won’t be fired unless someone better ranked than you is applying for your team. While that doesn’t happen, whenever you reach 0% or less it goes back to 1%.

I even think you won’t get fired when you reach 0% unless someone else applied for your team. But I’m not 100% sure of it. Can someone confirm this? Gabriel?

I would use the same team setup as Dhimitri. Make the others better with friendlies.

Reaynauld DC+1

Passing medium-normal, priority mixed
Shooting medium
Tackle at your choice

This should keep your results in check, at least above the middle table.
Once you stabilize your rating, try and get new players and lose the loaned ones

Thanks Dirk. I think it’s good to keep a sense of history in the game, not only in terms of managers, but also in terms of teams. It makes it all more meaningful and entertaining. :)

I think it is better as it is today.

If you have to loan many players probably you wont go further in international games.

It’s the same, only the result matters (victory, draw or loss).

I dont know if we receive more points if we won 5v0 insted 1v0
I think it would be good to receive points as 2 simple wins. Like 1v0, 1v0

Great thread Dhimitri! I remember I lost the CL final against the reds of Henrique Dias in season 8 with Genoa. You made them come back as true champions. Congrats with your victory in CL. Too bad you couldn’t give them the CWC thropy.
Good luck next season defending all your titles. :)

I was thinking it would be a good idea for international matches not to be included in the missed matches count for loaned players. A team in participating in international competitions might need to loan 1-2-3 players to create depth and save stamina for its starting line-up. An average youth can never be expected to play at international level, but he is surely expected on the domestic level, especially if the domestic league is relatively weak. Indeed, a loaned growing youth is expected to play only a game a week, playing 2 per week should be a bonus, not a requirement, especially if his real team ain’t playing at international level.

Congrats to Spain! France did it awhile back also. With the rising of Tigres and Chacaritas in Argentina to rival Brazilian teams, I can see Spain gaining further ground in the ranking.
Meanwhile England will jump up two place next season, from 9th to 7th in the world, and from 6th to 5th in Europe, surpassing Italy. The aim would be the 3d European spot for that extra CL spot

Reds Fall Short in CWC Final

Liverpool lost 1-2 to Tigres failing to add the only trohphy missing in its cabinet.
This is what their manager had to say: “Tigres were the favorite. They have a fantastic team that can achieve everything they want. But that is as far as odds go to justify our loss. We did play a great game. Unfortunately we started slow, fell behind quite early in the game and their second goal before the half time was hard to swallow. The second half was completely ours despite falling a man short. The game was there, the chances were there, but we couldn’t finalize. All I can say is that I’m proud of how my boys performed. Can’t take anything away from this night, it just wasn’t our time!”

Liverpool manage to pull a goal back at the 87th minute culminating a series of back to back chances. But it turned out be too little too late for the Red Army, experiencing their first halt in an otherwise formidable campaign.

Nothing, the odds of getting a goalkeeper are 1 out of 9, so you just had bad luck…unless they’re all great keepers, in this case it would be good luck! :D

Yeah…I kinda agree with you, but this would give bigger countries even more advantage because they usually have more auto-qualified teams…and how many points? The same amount you’d get if you won both qualifying matches?

We should recalculated international points. Like: I have reach CL final and I got less points than Valladollid. This happened because last season I won CL and I didnt have to play qualify. So I should contribute to Spain a bit more receiving some points for my auto-qualify.

I think it is the first time since I started play in Spain that we made more international points than Brazil. Unfortunally today all youths are almost the same.

RED ARMY INVADES EUROPE

When the Battle of Berlin ended in May 2, 1945, Marshal Zhukov of The Red Army called Stalin and asked if he could continue the advance all the way to the Atlantic. Naturally, we can easily imagine that such proposal was refused by Stalin, otherwise we would be still calling each other “COMRADE”.
Decades later, another Red Army has invaded Europe. This time, no order has been issued to halt its progress. Europe has but one color, the LIVERPOOL RED!!!

In a night that would be remembered forever, two teams clashed for the ultimate European glory. On one side stood the Spanish giants of Real Sporting de Gijon, who were aiming to score the trophy for the third time in a row. On the other side, there stood the English has been giants of Liverpool, desperate to reclaim the glamors of the past. Only a season ago, the same pair met in the semis with Gijon humiliating the Reds in a show of power and tenacity.
This time around, a stronger and hungry Liverpool came more confident to clash with an aged Spanish side which could still make use of all the teeth in its mouth. The game started strongly for the Reds who enjoyed a three good chances before opening the score with a wonderful Gandara outside shot in the 16th minute. 1-0 for Liverpool and the past glory was not past anymore.
After falling a goal down, Gijon increased pressure, storming the Liverpool goal again and again. But each time, attempts by Claudio and Calabrese found an unbreakable wall in Adolfo “The Black Spider” Berrugoso", who ended the match as MOTM with a perfect 10 rating, after stopping 18 shots for a clean sheet.
Interesting enough, Berrugoso was bought from Gijon three seasons ago for the sum of 28 million. It was the first buy for Liverpool when they returned to Premier League. 3 years later, Berrugoso made his former teammates pay for letting him go with the most outstanding performance of his career.
With the first half ending 1-0, the Red Army opened the second half in the same fashion as the start of the game. And again, in the 15th minute of the second period, the Spanish giants were found unprepared as Joel Jay, who had made his entrance in the game only 5 minutes earlier, made it 2-0 for his team with an excellent personal incursion from the the other end of the midfield.
2 minutes later Gijon had a chance to start kick its comeback when a penalty kick was awarded. But Berrugoso stood out once again, collecting the shoot from Calabrese in his arms. One wonders if Calabrese will call Berrugoso after the match to congratulate him. With the PK chance wasted, the Spanish offense seemed to had lost its confidence, and the rest of the game proved quite futile with both teams playing an opened but more balance game.
At the end of the night, the deserving Reds collected their third CL trophy, but their first in 34 years.

Fields of Anfield Road

Outside the Shankly Gates
I heard a Kopite calling
Shankly they have taken you away
But you left a great eleven
Before you went to heaven
Now it’s glory round the Fields of Anfield Road
All round the Fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play)
We had Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road
Outside the Paisley Gates
I heard a Kopite calling
Paisley they have taken you away..
You led the great 11
Back in Rome in 77
And the redmen they are still playing the same way
All round the Fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play)
We had Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road

Liverpool claims its 2d treble in history
With CL win, Liverpool claimed a wonderful treble, only its second in history, 34 years after the first one was conquered by Henrique Dias in Season 8.
Liverpool thrashed Blackpool 4-1 in the FA CUP, and also managed to win the EPL Championship, 3 weeks from the end, also over Blackpool.
Three season since they returned to top flight, Liverpool has already collected 4 trophies: 2 EPL, 1 FA Cup, and 1 Champions League.
Next: Clubs World Cup Final against Tigre. Will it be another Mission Impossible for the Reds against the strongest team in the world???
Stay tuned!!!
