No, the managers who paid very high wages have been rewarded, cause they have the better players without any disadvantage.
If real life time was an issue, it was better to wait longer with the new system imo.
@Dimitri: don’t say that! I understand your frustration, I’m also used to carefully manage my player wages. Now I realize it would not be that complicated to keep the wage disparities during the conversion, but the haste to put the new system in place led me to this mistake. The important thing to realize is that the new system has room for enhancements such as new investment areas in the future, and now we don’t need to worry about money balancing issues. Those managers who are not careful now will have to change their behavior and those like us who are already used to being careful should be one step ahead ;-)
- conceitos removidos: balanço de dinheiro do time, situação economica do time, capacidade do estádio
Cheers
That sucks yes. Doesn’t really motivate to continue playing the game :(
I’ll translate the latest announcements to Portuguese, anyone volunteers to do the same to other languages?

Atualizações em português em breve.
The new economy system is finally ready! There have been some structural changes done with the latest update. Their main goal is to make it easier for us to handle the money balancing issues in the game so we can focus on more important aspects of football management. As with any fundamental changes such as this one I expect some managers will complain and it will take some time to adapt, but hopefully it will prove to be for the best in the long run.
Let me try to summarize what has been done:
- revised estimated player value formula (fixed, not based on existing transfers anymore)
- revised player wages formula
- concepts removed: team money balance, team economic situation, stadium capacity
- concepts introduced: board points, transfer budget, total wage limit, transfer to budget percentage, investment areas (coaching, physio, scouting, stadium, transfer budget, wage limit and transfer to budget percentage)
Investments cycle
On turn 1 all teams will receive a number of board points based on their performance in the past season and the country ranking. These board points can be spent in the 7 available investment areas. To upgrade an area to level X you need to pay X board points. You can downgrade any area and receive back the corresponding number of board points to allocate somewhere else. Managers have until turn 12 to tweak the club investments for the current season. On turn 13 any board points not spent will be automatically allocated and the levels of investment will be locked until the following season. Also, the new season’s transfer budget will be established and the new wage limit will be in place.
Transfer budget
The transfer budget is the amount of money you have to buy new players. When this value is renewed on turn 13 any money left in the previous season budget is disregarded. When you sell a player a % of the transfer amount is added to your transfer budget. The exact value depends on the level of investment on this area.
Wage limit
You are not able to hire more players or even give your player raises that would cause your total wages to go beyond your wage limit. Nevertheless, there are some cases where this can happen, and if it does the difference between the wage limit and your player wages will be deducted from your transfer budget every 3 turns.
My intention is to add more in-game help for the new economy if needed and also create a page in our wiki with more details about all changes. For now, please use the Improvements Discussion (http://www.rubysoccer.com/forums/5/topics/330) and Economy (http://www.rubysoccer.com/forums/3/topics/2226) topics to post your thoughts (either positive or negative) and questions. Please, be nice :-)
Cheers
Gabriel!!!
Sumiu o $$$ do San Martin Tucuman e do Chacarita Juniors!!
Unfortunately yes, wages and values have been reset to speed up the effects of the new economy. I know, it could have been done differently, but I’ll be on vacation soon and I wanted to make sure the changes were running smoothly before that. Shame on me, I took the quickest path :(
Have all the wages been reset?
Or in other words, anyone who got players by giving them 300k per tick is rewarded by the changes, while managers who kept the wages low are being punished?
Pessoal, tem 3 ótimos jogadores a venda no Chacarita Juniors!
ciao checche :3
E o Alberico Maciel?
:P
Hello, many players to sell in the best team to make a deal, just check for yourself:
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/team_players/673
Most of the players listed were very important for the two times winning of Europa League, so they probably will be handy in your team too :D
nnothing but shite players on the transfer market.
Yep, saw that and sent him another message…as we know he won’t reply he’ll be banned tomorrow.
He’s been online…
If he does that or is fired for inactivity, he’ll be banned :-)
I don’t expect him to reply at all ;)
Benvenuto!
I’m currently waiting for a reply from Sevilla’s manager. As it is Carnaval in Brazil I don’t expect him to reply before Wednesday. I’ll keep you posted.
Teasdale is not 34 he is 24 and his average skill is 90.14
I know that his price was a little elevated, but like you said, who cares..
so who would spend 45% of the entire funds on a 34 year old player??
these questions wouldn’t exists if we had a realistic economy model, it really is killing the game, but who cares..
/BK
It does look fishy. I’ll look into it….
Well every manager do as he pleases but I think with that money you could start a team to be in the top for many ages to come, you would probably negotiate some player similar to that for 300M, just needed to search and talk to managers :D
Anyway, doesn’t seem like cheating to me.
Cheers
Hi people, sorry for the new topic but needed somewhere to advertise a new wave of sellings in Ajax. Avarage players listed for very reasonable prices, the best you find in the MT market:
http://www.rubysoccer.com/game/team_players/673
Take a look and make you offer!
had about 2 billion on my bank account, and really not worried about the price, I have been following this player for a while and I do not regret paying that much for him, I am building a competitive team, and still have some money on my bank account, and I will still be looking for some good players, if I really want them I am not afraid to pay top $$ for him, it is not a “cheat” I would call it an “Investment” this is my first season back from Ligue 2 and if you look at the transfers I have done and what I posted last season I am looking for excellent players to have a spot in international competitions for next season and compete in them (champions preferably) I personally think Teasdale is one of the best Midfielders in this game and a big plus is that he is young, when I purchased him his value was more than 500M I do not expect him to improve any more, but I do expect to play him in every match. I am trying to build a competitive team, and trust me, money is not an issue. I will try to get the better players available and money will not stop me, I have plenty of it to spend.
Wow, that must be a record… could be legit though.
