Match engine enhancement: keepers lose stamina on hard defenses.
As your keeper perform hard defenses, he will increasingly lose his match stamina and will be easier to beat. After conceiving a goal his match stamina will be recovered. It is important to notice that lots of shots don’t guarantee the opponent keeper is losing his match stamina, if your shots are poor or the if keeper is very good and is not having a hard time defending your shots he won’t be affected.
13 clubs have more than 100M in FastTicker.
Bug fixed: fouls statistics were being counted twice! So when you look to any match report prior to this announcement you have to divide the number of fouls by 2 in order to get the number of fouls that actually happened.

There has been a change in the tackling behavior that is active for 2 league matches on FastTicker now (check the announcements for more details). I expected the number of shots to drop in some cases. The next enhancement I’m planning is making the keeper tired if he makes lots of hard defenses, making it easier to score then.
I’ll recalculate for all players whose value is greater than 10M.

I can’t tell you the exact number, but the number is really small…even if you consider how many teams have more than 100M ;)

Partial tackles enhancement
When your player tackled an opponent he would either take the ball or fail, now there is a third option, a partial successful tackle. If a partial tackle happens your player won’t take control over the ball, he will kick it away from the opponent instead. In that case, he, the opponent or both may lose some time to recover from the tackle.
Please provide any feedback you have in the Improvements Discussion topic so we can adjust this new enhancement if needed.

Well, as Alban said, there is no need to select the players as the best ones will shoot, in order. I agree you should be able to see who scored and who missed the penalty kicks, we had that in the past but it got bugged somehow :(
@Alban: Are you suggesting we make penalty shootouts more random? Or at least less dependent on shooting skill itself? We could make the player use shooting and control and speed and even aggressiveness! :D
These ratings are still somewhat unrealistic in a few matches, but they’ve been recently improved. I guess it requires a deeper analysis of the match to give better numbers. We’ll have to work on it again in the future.
I prefer Filipe’s list, at least there José Andrade figures in second ;)

First of all thanks, luis. We thought about adding some training specifics before the whole staff departments idea was implemented, we haven’t planned anything related since them. I believe this could be added in the future, but we have to analyze carefully this change in order to not make players evolution a mess as it was before (you were not around, but players used to improve too fast in the past).

I’ve just checked your last FA Cup game, no formation was set so your default was used. Are you sure you hit save button in the matches page after selecting your match formations?
That’s exactly what they have…you just can’t be sure the total is 140, this number is just an average ;)
He probably got this value before I implemented the maximum inflation variation logic. I’ll recalculate his value.
Their experience didn’t start from zero as youth players, but they probably still have some points to improve.
Interesting suggestions, Parag, I’ll consider them when implementing changes to the scoring probability.
Regarding your first question (lots of long shots increasing the probability of goals) I was thinking something like making the keeper lose stamina every shot, but the amount lost is related to the difficult to defend the shots, so lots of long shots wouldn’t make him lose that much.
Netherlands was added later on the game, so dutch players “were born” older than usual, except for the youths.
The main idea I think we could work on what you’ve written Dhimitri is that as the number of shots on goal raise we could make it increasingly easier to score. I’ll experiment a few changes with this idea after I finish the current match enhancements I’m working on.
On loan renewal the loan wage is recalculated based on the agreed loan percentage. For example, suppose the player wage was 5,000 and you agreed to pay 50% of his wage, so the loan wage is 2,500. If the player wage becomes 10,000 during the loan period, you’ll still pay 2,500 as the loan wage, but if the loan is renewed, you’ll start paying 5,000 (50% of the new wage).
There is a simple explanation, Humberto. Sometimes, when you use wingers, they do not receive or get the ball very often. This improved a little after the more realistic player movement and distance calculation implemented a while back, but this central behaviour is likely to change after we implement another enhancement that will add a new strategy option: play in the center, using wingers or mixed.
I agree that this kind of match shouldn’t be that common, Vaughn. I’m currently working on the match engine, implementing partial tackles (when the player makes the opponent lose the ball but does not control it) and a few other enhancements will follow this one. Let’s see if these weird results are affected by them.
I’ve seen statistics like this when you don’t have any defenders on -1 or 0 mentalities, giving your goalkeeper penalties on his skills to defend shots. But if you say this is common to many teams it may not be the case.

We have this page accessible from the login page. It lists the enhancements we consider high priority at the moment. Regarding date estimation, it’s really had for us to give them. We never know exaclty how much time we’ll have available for RubySoccer development. I wish I had 8 hours daily from Monday to Friday just to work on the game :)
