No offense taken. We tried to make it more flexible than MS, Alban. Maybe it’s lacking some usability, specially on strategies, but we can certainly improve it. Switching back to fixed formations would be a pity, but we can discuss alternatives if more people feel like it’s weak as you say ;)

After writing the formation name just hit enter, it will save and display the new empty formation on the screen. It’s not very intuitive, right? :P

What do you mean by “can’t actually save formations”?

That’s how it’s supposed to be, changing players position in the field is automatically saved, the update button is only for saving the basic tactics and set pieces players in the left side.

It has been reported a while back that the wrong player was taking free kicks or penalty kicks sometimes. Today I’ve just figured it out. Whenever your formation was incomplete at the match start and the system was responsible to complete it, the free kick, penalty kick and corner kick players were ignored, as if nobody had been selected.
This is fixed!

I think DaMaGo is trying to make me work on the world cup idea to prove him wrong ;)
I love this idea, I just think we should replace CL, UC, LA and CS with the world cup, but there is no agreement about that yet.
Anyway, let’s not lose our focus here. I think Alban’s post summarizes what most people I’ve talked to feel: in order to implement this foreign players limit we should change lots of other things. One more thing I’d like to add, if we ever implement this topic’s idea, players will earn another nationality after playing for a while (maybe 3 seasons) in a different country.

Nice post! First of all I do miss nationality in the players list pages, we’ll try to come up with a good place to add it. We were talking about this foreign players limitation yesterday here at work. I like it and dislike it at the same time. I like it for the reasons you’ve already stated. I’m just afraid that this rule would make it harder for smaller countries to grow.
I’d like to have more opinions here, this is a very interesting subject.

Now, seriously. When a low tackle player tries to take the ball form a high dribble player the chances of a foul are raised. Maybe we should adjust that to make aggressiveness play a more decivise role, it would make sense.

That happens cause most teams use players in the 3 central position only. As soon as we improve the wingers utilization and managers start changing their formations I expect those 3 vs 3 to stop happening so often.

O que o impede de comprar/pegar emprestado os jogadores do seu amigo não são as mensagens trocadas por vocês pois ninguém as lê. O real motivo é o fato de vocês acessarem o jogo ou terem acessado recentemente usando o mesmo computador ou rede. Essa regra visa impedir que pessoas criem mais de um usuário e façam negociações entre eles. Infelizmente não há como distinguir os casos de trapaça daqueles em que amigos ou familiares usam o mesmo computador pra jogar.

Match engine enhancement: when nobody has the ball only closer players or the closest player in your squad will try to get it. No more swarm behavior (everybody run towards the ball).

Bug fixed: penalty shootout was not being stored on match report. It worked in the past but was bugged for a while. It should work for the next penalty shootout decisions.

We are aware of this behaviour and we plan to change it. I’ll put a high priority bug for that so we can take care of that soon.

Correct, the stamina you see in the player info page is not affected. What I call match stamina is the measure of how “tired” the keeper is during the match.

Match engine enhancement: keepers lose stamina on hard defenses.
As your keeper perform hard defenses, he will increasingly lose his match stamina and will be easier to beat. After conceiving a goal his match stamina will be recovered. It is important to notice that lots of shots don’t guarantee the opponent keeper is losing his match stamina, if your shots are poor or the if keeper is very good and is not having a hard time defending your shots he won’t be affected.

Bug fixed: fouls statistics were being counted twice! So when you look to any match report prior to this announcement you have to divide the number of fouls by 2 in order to get the number of fouls that actually happened.
Thanks to Gustavo Nery for finding this bug :)

There has been a change in the tackling behavior that is active for 2 league matches on FastTicker now (check the announcements for more details). I expected the number of shots to drop in some cases. The next enhancement I’m planning is making the keeper tired if he makes lots of hard defenses, making it easier to score then.
