in the end finance, players/team improvement and league position are the most important facts. if you lose with 2 or 3 goals difference should be that important, if you still fullfil the expectations. But sure if your team loses by 4 or more goals board (in RL) isn’t happy aswell, so this take should effect again.
what’s the influence of the capital on the % performance?
what’s the influence of the current league position compared to the boards expectation?
i agree. Vice versa i would add some points (%) when you do better than expected: like you’ve qualified for CL when your board said “avoid relegation”.
i’ll always edit the first post for updates …

High wages !?
i have a talented defender in FT (tac90, and 80+ in all secondaries, Steven Hill) who’s valued $6,849,553 (was already that high before new calculation).
Just the recent turns he wants to renew the contract (old: $5,950). Regarding to his extraordinary skills and his value i would expect a high wage, that correspond. But he stills wants just $9,092 !!!
I guess there must be some new calculation for wages aswell … (super)stars shouldn’t be cheap in wages.
i give you 10M for him :DD

“Merchandise value calculation has been changed to reduce the difference between the big clubs and small clubs.”
What’s a big club? Is it just depending on the league / nation points ? If it is so i would suggest to relate the merchandise value and the “big” for clubs on national success (champions, cup winners) and international glory (uefa points for the club)!
would be a nice to see how many assists players have made. in the statistics of team and player.
i really would appreciate to have in the players statistics section an info how many friendlies a player has played. Maybe the info is just shown when you are owner/manager of the player.
yup.
Sounds good to me, should work.
Why is it that after a manager is fired the minimum period for him to re-apply for his team is 1 season and not shorter?
I mean the main reason of firing managers is to give other managers who are interested in the team the chance to apply to a favorite team.
But if nobody is interested/applies within, let’s say, 12 turns (in FT) the interest is fullfilled and the old manager should have the chance to re-apply and being hired again.
“Old players will start to have their skills slowly decreased. More details can be found in the game help.”
Will this apply to all existing players or just to the new generated youths ?
the last days i had to log in from a mobile phone. it works but i can’t change my formations b/c drag & drop isn’t possible. Is their a different way to change the players?
i used opera mini.

hehe, you’re right, Ricardo.
CL & league match at the same day, puh, will be tough! ;) That’s not a bug, it’s a challenge!
in fast ticker. after season break all teams have double info on their league position in the team history.
Sorry, but what does this mean … ? When is a group stage to expect ?
Thanks in advance guys.
a group stage in CL would be great, even just with 6 existing nations. Currently we have 21 starters in CL (the pre-round included). Why don’t we implement a group stage (4 groups, each with 4 teams) instead of the “round of 16”. the first 2 teams of each group go to the quarterfinals. fixtures could be:
Pre-round: 83, 86
Goup matches: 92, 95, 101, 104, 110, 113
QF: Turns 119 / 122 etc.
What do you think?
you’re right, we can’t copy real life with just 9 skills ;)
i’m ok with the “heading” for headers. but what you mean with “in the air” is not to mix up with headings on the goal …
thanks for considering our suggestions and making some changes!
sorry for bugging again, but i still don’t understand why a goalie needs a really different qualification for saving headers (than for shots) ?
If you have a 60-40 skill relation (keeping – speed) for shots, you still need speed (reaction time) for headings aswell, plus maybe a heading-defending skill (but which, in RL ??): 60-20-20 would be more reasonable.
If you’re looking for situations where goalies need special skills, we need to consider maybe these aswell:
- 1-on-1 situation (dribbling skill to avoid being played off)
- free kicks (heading skill for jumping & controll for positioning of the defenders)
- penalties ( …)
What do you think?
i don’t think “some keepers are better on defending shots rather than headers and vice-versa” !
there’s no big difference between saving a header and saving a shot – you need mostly the quality to save. It’s not like you need the hands for one type of shot and the feet to save the other type of ball (header) …
@thorpedo: your approach is close to what i suggested earlier http://www.rubysoccer.com/forums/1/topics/681
i thought twice about the changes, and i’m not loving the idea that keepers need a special skill to save a header. That’s not like in real life. But in real life football you might need a higher ability in reactivity/speed and controll of the penalty area (specially to prevent some headers).
So i would keep savings mainly related to keeping ability, even for headers. But would define a 2nd (modest) skill as a support to save headings.
i have some questions regarding the corelation of the team performance & the formation continuity.
you meant if a manager sticks with 1 formation the team doesnt get worse; vice versa if you make changes on a formation the performance will suffer b/c of this.
on what conditions the team performance gets worse & in how (decrease of the average player’s skill level?) ?
a) Does the continuity depends on the type of matches (friendly, league, uefa, …)? If i have 3 different preset-setups (formations/positions), 1 for each type of matches, will this mean i get a penalty in a league match when i played a uefa match in the previous turn? Or will i receive a penalty just when i change certain things in the same competion type of matches?
Will the performance suffer (& how) if
b) i keep the formations & all positions but replace one or two player
c) i have different formations & positions in different match types (s. above)?
d) i change just 1 position, like position MLC+1 deleted, instead MRC-1
e) How often (matches) do i have to play with a certain setup till it’s not a penalty issue another and is saved as the new “default”?
f) How does the penalties work, like decreasing all players skill ~3 points?
my understanding …
formation: 352, 343, 442 …
positions: M+1&LC, D0&R, A-1&C …

ok, could be a reason. but not a good conclusion. i mean no small town club with a rotten team would put all effort in building an oversized stadium in the countyside in first place. just a club with a “catastrophy”-mode for the board.
investment should follow the “value chain” spuad quality > good results > bigger audience (demand) > bigger stadium needed.
i often see teams with no real manager expanding their stadium capacities (to bigger stadiums than from “normal” teams). is that healthy for their economy and the balance of the gameworld?
(e.g. in Ft Germany: TuS Koblenz no manager since day 1, but expanding to 47.000, Kickers Offenbach (same) 46.400 …)
i mean after 10 seasons a new manager takes over a team with no cash, cheap&small squad, but a shiny 50.000 seater …
