We’ve been working behind the scenes, but I would like to hear from you guys: what are the new functionalities / improvements you would like to see in rubysoccer? Try to name more than one, if possible!
This whole “what’s going on with Tigre and its players” thing must stop. In rubysoccer, there are no privileges or privileged information: everything Alessandro knows was also explained here in the forum. No team has special logic or treatment – not only because this kind of thing does not interest us, but also bc it would be a pain in the ass to create, in the code, such singular exceptions to the rules. Alessandro’s success is purely due to his dedication to the game, and I am pretty sure you can find everything he knows regarding evolution/skills here in the forum. Or just try asking him, that’s why we have a community and an internal mail system… He really took his time to understand how things work and he is always visiting rubysoccer to manage his team or just to browse the stuff.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but this is the last time I will waste my time to come here to “explain” that. This chapter is closed, at least for me.
Just upgraded the whole server to the latest versions of software – this is a preparation for a big package of new stuff that is coming soon. Your experience should improve at this point but, if not, please let us know.

I had a quick look at your networks, and they don’t seem to be the problem stopping this transaction.
It looks like someone is already at the maximum number of loans, but I don’t have the time to check that in the code right now (this was introduced by Gabriel). Will see what I can do, but will probably only have the answer in 2011 (that sounded bad…).
Fixed. We will gradually adjust the tick times.
In fact, you guys are our most important way to improve that. Google gives more importance to websites that have more hits. Therefore, if you invite more friends to play rubysoccer ( http://www.rubysoccer.com/invite ) , we should do better in the ranking.
formation and tatics are associated to you, not the team. when you get fired / leave the team, your assigned positions lose their players, but if you go to another team and assign new players to the old positions you had (gray player icons on the field), the new players should get all tactics from your previous team player who was on that position.

RubySoccer is now capable of automatic detecting donations. This means that, if your donation email is the same one you use for rubysoccer, everything regarding the donation will be done within seconds! Don’t worry, this is not the “nice improvement” I mentioned before – that one is still on the way. It is just something to make everybody’s life easier. I will soon do the same for the server expenses, now that I have the code structure to do so.
I hope you guys test the donations stuff… :)
You can now ‘officially’ invite your friends to play RubySoccer! This is accessible from 2 different places
This will not only help us to make our community bigger, but will also be considered later in a (surprise) nice new functionality, that should arrive soon. Enjoy!

The statistics computer screen has been through some adjustments (still planing a couple other), and now allows you to save your presets.
As you are all aware, we are approaching our 3rd anniversary. Such a nice journey! Are you guys enjoying it so far? Let us know your thoughts!

The world cup month should be full of development activity for rubysoccer. Our match engine should be one of the most noticeable improvements – but we are planning many others! Stay tuned.

Davison, no matter how things are now – good or bad – we will keep improving them. I really feel like I shouldn’t be answering the kind of post you usually write, but I guess I can’t help myself, sometimes.
calm down guys, rubysoccer is not dying. it is just like you mentioned: this is not a paid game and, unfortunetely, we can’t prioritize it. but we do plan to continue investing free time here – when we have it. since our move to another country, things have been hectic! but that should not persist for long and we will start updating rs again. we have to get this game to a “mature level” before any of us have kids :). After that things will be much more difficult.
we do have some things going on now. mainly about the match engine, because we want to improve it before going to anything else. we might release some other minor changes before that is out, though… Let’s see what we can do, once we get some free time.
We are going to do our best to release some of the important improvements in a one month time frame. But it is really difficult to predict, in the end.
