I am trying to develop a player of mine “João José Augusto” really hard so i have been giving him playing time in official games on top of friendlies. I think he is already a decent player but his performance as a sub has been terrible. His stamina is high by the way.

He averaged below 4 rating the first 6 league games not scoring once and in 26 friendlies averaged 6.8 against weak reserve teams coming as a substitute at 55th minute.

Last league game he gets 90 mins gets 9.7 rating and scores a goal.

So basically i wonder why the player performance drops this much coming off the bench. Any ideas?

Hi Cleithon,

If i were you i would change “Segundo Reina”s position MA RC to AM RC and would field him on A C 0 zone as my main attacker. Hope this helps.

Its all about probability: buying more tickets for a lottery increase your chances to win with a small margin but doesn’t guarantee anything. Managing a team in Brazil all these seasons i have received some stars yes but never had a star attacker that can make all the difference for example. The rankings are being overrated and i am sure they will change when world club competition comes alive.

There is no way to tell which player will become better, if you fire a player before he turns 24 you can easily regret it later.Thats exactly what is being discussed here. Being forced to fire a player because of the squad limit not because you believe he wont be good.

Thats an interesting idea Kuroyuki.

Dirk , in medium ticker i play in Argentina which is currently ranked 6th. I have developed some pretty good players. A 100 keeping 100 speed goalie, 98 and 96 tackle defenders, one 91 passing midfielder, two 92 shooting one 93 shooting attackers over the course of six seasons or so. Thats not bad for a country ranked 6th in the rankings IMO. Better overall from what i got from my team in Fast Ticker Brazil in the same period.

How can you explain this? Can we assume it is depended on more luck than rankings? I think Alban has a point here when he says “Currently almost any player is good”..they just need alot of playing time.

Yeah that would be a solution….slowing down the supply of new players can also bring some activity to the transfer market which is dead right now.

Hmm thanks Gabriel. So basically clubs around the world has more or less same income. We have to remember that you need good players to compete in high level leagues and good players come with high wages. If you decide to increase the wages please consider these two facts. Dynamic ticket prices maybe be a solution.
Additionally It seems like the only advantage of playing in a top league is receiving better youths right now but because of the squad limit we have to let go some of them or fire semi-developed players to open up space. So its not a real of an advantage and everybody can get their share of promising youths which is cool. But the problem is it takes 6-7 years to fully develop a player and 3 youths on average asking contracts a year. With this rate you have to give up way too much. I am sure everyone would hate to fire a player that they put time to develop to open space for a youth.
So you can maybe consider at least to increase the squad limit for example by adding 5 more possible spots in expense for a tax.
We can call it luxury tax :0
30 +1: You pay %10 off your total wage as luxury tax every billing cycle if you decide to add one extra player to your squad.
%15 for 2 , %20 for 3 and so on.

I have couple of questions: the ticket prices are the same in all countries? And i would also like to know if you get same points winning a game in Brazil and some other league like in Paraguay in terms of ranking?

Guys as i mentioned in my first post fielding a reserve team for me is ok if you have no reason to win. But passing a chance to play in better competition for money i can not agree.

Anyway i have no hard feelings and winning now in Brazil just got better

Your loss!! i could have offered you more lol

Seriously is this a joke? By the way didnt you win Copa do Brazil which puts you in SA in turn 52 and you waited last game to tank..interesting

I think Santo Andre deserved to win the title and i wouldnt want to take anything from Dot who seems like a classy guy .

However i just dont understand why Gremio would field a reserve team against them the last game of the season having not guaranteid a LA spot.

I would respect Gremio’s decision if they already secured a LA spot and wanted to rest their players for the upcoming international cup game but right now i dont know what to think.

How about a small playoff to determine the last two teams from Cl and LA instead of CPU picking. Four loosing teams in quarter-finals facing each other the same round the semi-finals played. It would be more fair i think.

Gabriel can you please explain if the board expectation affects your sponsorship income or not? I am making 150k on avg right for some time now and i am wondering if its normal or not.

I dont know about CL but LA right now is not so different than Copa do Brazil with always Brazilian teams playing each other in the later stages.

I am in for combining Cl with LA.

I think it shouldnt be just about distance, lets not forget about the shooting angle. Diagonal shots should be less accurate or less likely to result in goal as apposed to shots facing goal.

Well if i may speak for myself i am not happy with my income either. I dont like losing money despite having no overpaid players and i play full crowd in home games. Maybe its because of my board expectation which has been “stay in division”. Thats another thing i dont understand why i am ranked that low despite finishing 4th last couple of seasons. It would be ok if you are awarded surpassing expectations but its not the case for sure.I make money in medium ticker with Boca with board expectation of “fight for title” and i am guessing its kind of related to this.

As for the youth players you have to be patient. Just wait for a good generation. I havent had anybody promising for long time but right now i have some great prospects. It seems like you receive good players in bursts. Maybe i am wrong, i dont know.

If this feature is added i think the players should recover stamina points faster than current rate, and there should be some benefit to have nationals in your team like more merchandising income etc..

You can easily get relegated if you experiment too much in Brazil Seria A. Thats not a luxury you have.On the other hand its kinda boring playing with same way all the time, most teams playing with same kinda formations. Its a risk reward thing but personally i gave up. Good luck to you.

I havent seen a team succeeding with a unique formation, my experiments only cost me points, for example i stopped trying wingers last season after some disappointed results. I used both wing and mixed play style.

How about a feature that allows you to play your clone team? :P For example: Your 1st team against your 1st team. Then you can play around with tactics without worrying about loosing points or getting fired. And since the team quality would be exactly the same it would be obvious which tactic works better.
