You can now login to RubySoccer using your Facebook, Google or Twitter accounts! Don’t forget to click on the ‘Like’ button at our homepage ;). For Facebook and Gmail, if your email account here in rubysoccer is the same as your email account in those services, it should automatically detect your user and allow you to proceed to your normal account. For twitter, your screen name has to be the same as your rubysoccer login. By the way, you can now login rubysoccer using either your email or login name (to have a login is now optional). Also, some infrastructure updates were rolled out. It should be a little bit faster to browse rubysoccer.
Can we please cease this kind of behavior in the forums? I’m kind of tired of it, and I am sure Gabriel is too. Let’s speak to others in the same way we hope they speak to us, unless you have psychiatric problems (in that case, just use the common sense we are sure everybody is aware of).
There are a few things to be released, I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but one thing I can reveal is that we are going to change the way youths evolve. We want to release that as soon as possible – maybe in the next few days!
my bad, guys. I had good intentions, but it was my fault :) now things are fixed behind the scenes and we should get back to normal.
Achievements will be the foundation for another surprise feature – which I think people will enjoy. I agree that achievements per se don’t really add that much, but the other feature will have much more visibility and will be based on achievements, so I expect they will get much more attention once that is added … All to add a little bit more to the game :).
the idea is to be honest… :) if most people think we should go back to what it was before, we will do it. so speak up!

When you are inside of a dimension, the links you use to navigate rubysoccer are contained in big transparent black box…
hey, thanks for reporting… what may have happened is that you rejected but the system did not finish processing your rejection before you clicked on the mass accept – because as soon as you reject a friendly, the invitation gets deleted from the system (so there is no way to accept/reject it anymore).
The first achievements are finally here! If you ever got a competition title, check it out at your manager profile! Those are only the first achievements, there are many more to come. Also, I’ve applied a transparent black box to our navigation menu, let me know what you think about it!

and lastly, about cheaters: guys, we hate cheaters as well. as you know, there is no miracle. we do our best, but unfortunately time is not infinite – and working takes the best part of our lives. i guess the solution will be to empower our game masters with more tools so they could help us. as I am also getting sick of complaints about cheaters, i might re-prioritize my dev to get this done sooner.
To answer another one: Alessandro was the first to tell me about rubysoccer’s Pele. He sent me a mobile sms saying something like: holy crap, I have a player who is 100 in all attributes, i think there is a bug in rs – you better have a look at that!
and he doesn’t say anything because he doesnt like forums, so he never comes here to read what you guys are saying. as simple as that.
That one is easy, and I already said it here (multiple times): Alessandro Figueira, who is Tigre’s manager, is my cousin’s cousin. That means he has been to my house to visit (occasionally play fifa 10 with me on ps3), etc. In some of these occasions he was with his notebook (or just used mine) and logged in rubysoccer to check on his team. But I already said and will repeat: he doesn’t have access to any rubysoccer information you guys don’t have. Everything I ever told him about rubysoccer was also explained here at the forum at some point.
We are also puzzled by this… Though possible, a player this skilled is highly unlikely. Not to mention the fact he spawned in Tigre, which is already quite criticized by you guys. We are certainly going to investigate this. Unfortunately, at this point, we can’t even imagine what happened. We will keep you posted.
same goes for me. working, cannot have a look at this now… whoever gets out first will do that… don’t worry guys.

Hey, not true mates. Just recently the game went through a MAJOR upgrade in its foundations. That required a lot of work to be completed. And don’t worry, it’s just that we had to much to do recently, we will definitely come back to it. The first thing I am going to do when I come back is fix a few issues and start adding the achievements.
hmm, I think the menu we have now is too big for that, but I have an idea that could do the job. Lemme think about this for a while, but I must say that any changes to the menu are now not so high priority anymore… We have other things to attend to, for a while!

Filipe, what is not working about the menu? And the forum is accessible without the need to login. But i’ve added our address there at the main page, anyway.
And about the emails, people have told me about a different problem… will investigate later.
i’ve been cleaning a number of errors related to the upgrade. tried to start with the most frequent ones. hopefully everything should be solid very soon. keep clicking on everything guys! every error that happens is reported back to us. keep trying going to the areas with problems and report to us if the problem persists… or report anyway, if it is an annoying one.
May I also suggest you can use your facebook emails if you don’t have any other email. As I am sure you are all aware (not), your facebook accounts have associated email addresses now. After logging in, you can find out what that address is if you go to http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=other … At that page, you will see your facebook email address at the top middle left section of the screen. And it is also that screen you should use to read/reply to received emails… It is far worse than gmail, but it sure does the job.
for you guys having this issue, send us (admins at rubysoccer.com) your logins, old email account and a NEW EMAIL ACCOUNT (that is not a hotmail one). We will update your email in the system and send you a new password.
Dudes… You’re supposed to always have a working email account recorded, if you want to be reachable on a website!!!
so you were the one using iphone… :D well, we are developing a mobile interface for ruby, it was supposed to be a surprise. for now it doesn’t work, as you can see. i will disable it (for now) to fix your situation.
fixed the email delete thing. keep reporting guys, this was a huge upgrade, bugs are expected and we are going to fix them as fast as possible.
