We’ve checked these guys before and they seem to be just brothers, not the same person. I understand why people would give up a CL spot to get to Europa League (where they may have more chances of going further), but it is frustrating when you depend on their results. This also happens in real life in Brazilian league, where teams would play lazily when their victories would benefit local rivals.
We’ll make sure there is a better consolidated rules page for the game and the forums. We do have a lot of Portuguese speakers playing the game and I suppose it would be good to have language specific topics or forums clearly identified. It could be in the topic title like “[Topic language] Topic title”. English is preferred though when we are discussing important subjects, theoretically the majority will be able to understand and give an opinion.
Calm down guys. Here is the translation for what Lince said:
“From what I’ve noticed Bordeaux’s manager was fired by bad performance and who got the club was Gimnastic’s manager who did not remember having applied for the job and decided to stay on his old club, so the managers were put back on their places ??
Why were them favored ?? When there were if I’m not mistaken 2 other managers applying for Bordeaux and with a better ranking than Dirk. This is simply unacceptable
If he was fired why was he put back if when you’re fired you can’t apply for the same team. I ask the admin to verify the case and confirm that there were more managers applying that should have got the team”
Back to me. I was the one who put Dirk and Gimnastic managers back to their clubs. The reason for that was simple: the guy got Bordeaux by mistake and Dirk wanted to stay at the club. Our system does not store the managers that were applying, once the manager is fired, therefore there is no way to confirm who was applying. Even if we did, there is no way to know if they were above Dirk in the ranking at that time.
I understand Lince’s concern, but those managers that were applying would not get Bordeaux anyway, Gimnastic’s manager had already got the club so the other applications would be dropped anyway so I don’t think my decision did any harm.
Guys, remember we are all here to have fun and this is not the first time we’ve addressed manager’s requests. We always do our best to be fair and do no harm when we have to “manually” interfere, but of course our decisions will not always be good ones.
Cheers.
For those of you who used to play ManagerSim, Tigres is to RubySoccer what Fiorentina was to ManagerSim. I don’t remember who the manager was, but the guys had incredible players and managed to win the league several seasons in a row, sometimes with victories in ALL the 38 matches. Tigres’ manager seem to have the same addiction and luck the Fiorentina manager had back there. The fact we don’t give you any other explanation is only because we can’t find anything to disqualify the manager’s behavior. The guy has no access to our code or database…and if this was enough I would be the best manager :-D
Now, about Libertadores groups, I feel it is time to put that to an end. I have an important bug to fix but I’ll do my best to increase the number of groups and make sure teams from the same country are not placed in the same group.
Cheers!
The groups are really unbalanced…as soon as we add more countries and have 8 groups on this stage I can put back the logic that guarantees teams from the same country in different groups.
It certainly will look fishy in the eyes of others, but when you clearly state what you’re doing making the GMs and Admins aware and they find it reasonable you can go ahead and do it. People have been doing trades of players by paying ridiculous amounts to each other to make sure nobody else gets involved in the deal, so I guess the same common sense and awareness rules apply here.
We are aware of the problem, shouldn’t be hard to fix. Thanks guys :-)
For the English speakers: this discussion started with Lince questioning the result, as you may have guessed; Filipe then pointed out the fact that players with 31 years old or more are not affected by the fact they’re playing away; after that the discussion is pretty much around this rule, whether or not it is a fair way of making older players valuable.
Continua em funcionamento sim. É uma forma de levar em consideração a experiência dos mais velhos que não se intimidam ao jogar fora de casa.
This should never happen and I’ve never seen this before (and I track my players stats very carefuully ;-) ). We plan to have some temporary decrease for players that are not playing regularly or something like that, but it is not implemented yet. If you do see that happen again let us know which player so we can investigate.
I can see the option to suggest the page but only because I’m and admin…not sure how to enable it for everybody yet. The link was in the information tab, but I’ve also added it to the main page on the left hand side.
We’ll add screenshots later, but of course you guys can use your own screenshots! That would be great. I’ll have to wait until I get home to do anything on Facebook, I can’t access it here at work ;-)
We now have a page on Facebook. Check it out!

Not sure if the long tick times is related to us working on it, sometimes our servers just get less cpu capacity than usual and we have to talk to our host. We’ll see if that’s the case.
We’ll have 8 groups, we just need to add 1 or 2 European countries :-)
Hello guys! I’ve just confirmed in our database that all players aged 31 or more are set not to improve anymore. Regarding the player with 100 skills at 38 it is perfectly possible as Danilo pointed out, but of course it is not common, as you can see. Lots of factors can lead to that, the player was lucky not to lose skills frequently and when he did it was never on those top skills.
Cheers!
@Filipe: I can’t tell you the criteria, it would spoil the fun ;-)
Yes.
Believe it or not Spain’s goal was to reach quater-finals. The objectives are not country-ranking based…even though I wonder that maybe they should…
The amount of points a player can evolve is pre-determined but they are not all available since the player is “born”, a random percentage of them becomes available every season start.
1) The amount of points for each skill is pre-determined, randomly allocated. When the player improves he will improve skills randomly, but only the skills which still have points available to improve.
2) No, the number of skill points earned when the player improves does not depend on how many points he still has to improve in total.
3) They become accumulated…and they’re not really “extra” points, they’re part of the overall points available, it is just that youth academy players get a higher percentage of their total points per season.
Cheers.
You cannot change the players during a competition, once the competition ends you’ll receive a message saying you’re now able to change the players in the squad. In order to do that just go to the players list and you’ll see an icon to the left of each players name. Click on that and you’ll be redirected to a screen where you can pick a replacement for that particular player. The player replacement screen allows you to compare the attributes of the player you are replacing with the available replacements.
Cheers.
No, next season the rule will still be the same.
About the group improvement, I had to remove it for group draws because it caused problems one or two season ago in FastTicker. I’ll wait until we have 8 groups to put it back because with 8 groups it is always possible to prevent teams from the same country to be in the same group. I know in Europe it is already possible, but in South America the two top countries get 5 spots forcing at least one group to have 2 teams from the same country if all 5 reach the group stage. Two is better than three and I designed the improvement taking this into consideration…at least I thought I did :-)
Anyway, sorry for that but we’ll have to live with it for now ;-)
People ask to be punished, don’t they?
You can create a substitution rule specific for this player.
I guess I know what the bug is…the problem is at the moment he was injured he was probably playing in A-1 due to individual tactics so the system considered he was an attacker, not a midfielder…d’oh!
No…once the renewal was agreed it cannot be canceled.
Pelo visto o site está em re-construção, o que é um bom sinal já que era bem fraquinho. Fiquemos de olho pra saber quando vai re-abrir.
Abraço.
No worries, I guess we’ll have to accept that while we don’t fix it.
You don’t need to accept or deny a proposal. If the offer is higher or equal than the transfer price it is just a matter of the buying team reaching a wage agreement with the player. If the proposal is lower than the transfer price and you want to accept it you can lower the transfer price in the player info screen.
Cheers.
