The penalty is -3 in all skills. :)
Still updating, 4h 30 min minimum …
for example: http://www.rubysoccer.com/forums/1/topics/527?page=2 , bottom
Damn you guys ! Where do you take all that useful info ?! =))
Seems like it stays 25%. Certainly more than an hour, probably longer.
I thought the penalty is -5 in stead of -3.
So your MC ith 85 tac would have 80 tac. I’m not sure if it is for all skills?
What do you mean ?
If I play an MC with 85 tac as DC, he has only 82 tac ?
sure, there is a penalty.
What’s happening with medium ticker that is still updating?
Cheers
No penalty if I play midfielder in defense or attack on the same side (e.g. MLC as DLC or ALC) ?
Need a player to buy:
A defender, younger than 28 y.o., with 80+ ctr, 80+ spe, 80+ tac, 70+ pas, 75+ dri, 75+ hea. Can pay any reasonable amount, if the player is suitable.
Or !
I have an MR, Darren Barnwell:
Age: 19
Position: M
Side: R
Keeping: 47
Tackle: 74
Passing: 98
Shooting: 75
Speed: 85
Dribble: 87
Control: 76
Header: 80
Aggressiveness: 69
This should be a star-crosser ! Will find attacker’s head from any distance, on high speed with great dribble.
He is not for sale, only for a player swap deal. If you have a very good defender, we can negotiate.
Considering that many teams have more than 100M in the bank, making departments more expensive is not a problem =)
That’s interesting but could give scouts too much power, we’d have to make their department more expensive.
I just thought of a good use for the scouts. You could assume that they were also youth team scouts automatically searching for the best teenagers to feed into the youth academy. The level of the scouting department could influence the starting quality/maximum potential of new youths in the youth team. For people like myself who focus on developing youths rather than buying players, this would make the scouts worth having in addition to a good coaching level.
You can but you need to go to your manager info page either by clicking in the My Profile icon or clicking your name in your home page. But I agree, we could have links to undo the application in more places.
I really liked all the suggestions…minutes approach instead of number of matches, match importance and opponent quality…it all makes sense. You’re doing a great job guys! :D
… type of the match – Champions League appearence should give like 2x or even 3x points, especially on later stages
I post it here because it deals with the improvements in the game.
I find the Newspaper page a good improvement but I would add a button to undo an application for a job in an other team. For the moment you can’t undo this action if you want to stay with your club.
… quality of the opponents team (player skills or/and club glory) should be a factor for the level of an improvement aswell.
i like the idea of taking the money out of the AI teams. because it’s annoying to see those teams building dthe biggest stadiums. this should be a privilege – to good, real managed, teams!
players attitude & team morale should be top on list.
As I understand it, players have a limited number of evolutions and currently improve by playing matches. In order for a match to count the player has to play at least 30 minutes, but it makes no difference whether they play 30 or 90 minutes in one game. This seems to be leading to friendlies where teams will replace the whole team in order to improve more players at the same time. Ideally, if a player played longer then they should get more experience.
My suggestion is that players should improve based on number of match minutes they play. The increments could be either at a fixed number of minutes for all players or randomly generated for each player, so for instance a new youth player might increase after 30 minutes, then 100 minutes then 250 minutes, then 600 minutes etc. until reaching their maximum potential. This way if they get more match time then they will improve quicker. If you make lots of substitutions then more players will improve but at a slower rate.
Also, I think you said that eventually players would improve through being coached even without playing any matches. When this is implemented you could say that each tick a player would increase by the equivalent of 5 or 10 minutes of match time experience.
cheers!
Great idea. I suggested before that the coach could email to indicate when a player had reached his potential and wouldn’t improve anymore, but I like this idea much better.
You could ask the coach for a report on one of your players who would then give details on his expected potential and current rate of progress etc. The coaching level could influence the speed that the report comes back and maybe even the level of detail or accuracy.
I think this should be the job of the coach, but then again I think we also need to find more for the scout to do as I currently have no interest in having a scouting department at all!
I also agree with Alban, keep up the good work!
I’m already fixing some bugs in the match engine before improving it, which will be my next step ;)
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the feedback guys. Morale is something we’ll have Onyros, but it will probably be related to not being in the first squad for a while…the better the player more unsatisfied he will be if he’s not playing regularly. Another suggestion I have received regarding high wages is that teammates should demand high wages on contract renewal when a high wage players exists in the squad. That makese sense and is more likely to be implemented :)
My goalkeeper:
Jamie Hewitt
Position: G
Side: -
Keeping: 87
Tackle: 39
Passing: 61
Shooting: 40
Speed: 72
Dribble: 68
Control: 68
Header: 80
Aggressiveness: 36
Stamina: 98
The player who scored five of the 7goals of liverpool:
Lazaro Quintanilla Marmole
Position: A
Side: C
Keeping: 43
Tackle: 73
Passing: 75
Shooting: 82
Speed: 78
Dribble: 77
Control: 74
Header: 80
Aggressiveness: 6
Stamina: 94
you should review serious the match engine!!!!
I think the board don’t have to interfere on the wages.
If it’s manager’s responsability, he must do it right. If a bad manager wants to pay milions, let it be. Sooner or later he’ll be fired and/or the bankruptcy rules will be applied.
Yeah, I think the board should have a stricter influence on players’ wages. Maybe to the point of vetoing certain amounts offered to certain player, because as it is, I could offer as much as 1M per week to a player, and given the amounts we’re working with, it’s unrealistic.
I also think that unbalanced wages should affect the teams – dunno if you’re thinking about implementing morale and everything, but it would be high on my wishlist – something to the likes of having players feeling unsatisfied if a new player of similar or even worse talent is signed with a ridiculously higher wage.
I mean, how do those poor old Criciúma players feel when they have a team mate earning 100 times more than they do?
Either a terrible keeper or superb strikers…or luck!
All numbers should go down after a few tweaks we have planned for the match engine. ;)
Cheers!
Ah, ok ! I was just looking for any algorithm…paranoia =)
Man Utd 4 × 7 Liverpool
4-4-2 formation 4-3-3
49% possession 51%
23 shots 16
21 shots on target 14
71% accurrate passes 50%
63% effective tackles 60%
