I’m not sure do I speak of the same topic or just newbie babbling…. but I wonder is there any chance to do following:

Go to teams page, choose one team to research, then choose its players, to do research,
then a manager sees interesting player at team’s roster, woohoo, I gotta make a bid! but wait a min…

I cannot bid… because there is no “offer” button in front/back of player name/stats….

Could that be possible to bid players and leave it to manager(/or player choice if BCC) choice whether deals goes through….?

Also I would be delighted to see player morale affecting their behaviour, (maybe additional hidden stat “ambition” would be guiding his morale chances how patiently he can wait at reserves…?)

Lastly I would definitely like to see team staff stats as well… and from MS experiences I would adjust stadium expansion into direction that around 70000 would be sensible limit for normal stadium size tops… of course no limit, but costs would be exponential after that or something to make it extremely difficult to increase over 70000…. or maybe some country/ adjustment for that?

I just tossing my ideas…. so feel free to pick up any usable things…. :-)

Cheers,
Kalle

I remember there was an idea that our scouts would evaluate players and tell us what to expect from youths. Maybe it is possible to ask scouts about players’ potential ? Maybe once a week or somehow else ?

Yeah, I remember in MS we could buy a 10M worth player for 40M and then his price slowly dropped, or rised, if he was bought for less than he was worth

I completely agree with all that has been said. Here’s my action plan: adjust all player’s values based on the new rule AND make the value calculation dynamic over time so it will slowly approach the real market value.

Sorry for the mess guys, I didn’t mean to get everybody confused ;)

7M is too much for me right now. Any chance of reducing the price a little? ;)

“Value” is nearly meaningless now. Therefore useless. Worse then that… it’s potentially/actually confusing!

When a 100 rated defender is available for free transfer… and he’s valued at only 2.9 million… but gets a salary of around 700,000+!… and he had 2 or 3 bad players “valued” above him on the free agent list… it’s insane… and meanwhile I have 16yo striker with NO skills and worth 3 million?

UGH.

So now the free agent lists are useless… because the “value” that you use to sort them is useless. So, you need to look at every single player. And that’s OK if you want it that way… but then you should just ELIMINATE the “value” rating at that point. Because it DOESN’T MEAN ANYTHING.

Something is seriously amiss. I watched the “value changes” as it started, and I thought it might correct itself, so I kept quiet and just watched and waited. It seems to be getting worse instead.

I am now of the opinion that there is something FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG now. Something that needs to be looked at, and fixed.

I would like this new formula for all players, too

I agree with Fabrizio Lobba… 25 yo is a good limit. Many players have the best years of their careers at tha age, specialy if they change club and coaches…

I think the value only ajust to the new formula when a player develop so a good solution would be to aplly the formula to all players…

I also suggest to apply the new calculation to all the existing players.

@Dave: The values mean something on the transfermarket as a recommanded selling price, but not at the moment. So when they are applied to all players it’s ok for me.

In medium ticker (Mallorca/Spain), I have a slow striker who has some other decent skills, and is among the leaders in the division in scoring. He’s valued at 800,000. I just got a 16 yo forward, with a 60’s shooting, and no other good numbers… and he’s “valued” at 3 million.

Please explain, how does that make sense?

Honestly, why bother to have those sort of “values” at all?

Absolutely. Or just get rid of the “valuations” altogether. Seriously, they are that meaningless now. If anything, they only serve to distract… so why have them at all?

BTW, I’m looking for a good MC (80+ tackling, 80+ passing), I’ll trade Augusto Dias directly or even throw some extra money if the player’s good enough.

By trading directly, I mean paying something like 20M for a given player and then selling Augusto Dias at 20M as well – so no one interferes with the deal.

Come on, Gabriel! Up that deal! :P

Done, the very last scout search results are now available right below the Scouting title on Search page. We think 3 would be too much, if you like some players from old searches you should add them to your favorites ;)

Cheers!

Well, fixing it means applying the new calculation to all existing players, would that be ok? :)

The player “values” are nearly meaningless at this point. It’s broken, and you need to fix it.

A player must play at least 30 minutes in a match to gain experience. I’ll add that to the game help ;)

No…I should’ve added this option, I was sure someone would ask for it :D

Anyway, my idea was to allow viewing the last search only…last 3 shouldn’t be bad. First scout enhancement!

Cheers!

Hi,

I would like to know how the game engine works when an improving young player is used as a sub in a game.

When a player plays even a few minutes in a game like a player subbed at 80th min, he is considered that he played one game stat wise.

How this works when it comes to improvement?

Scouting

“You must wait 1 turns before using your scouts.”

It should be “1 turn”

Can we get our searches archived ? At least 3-5 last search results ?

from Alban:
“I think it can also be a result of recent changes to player’s development.”

The player I was talking about evolved after 23 y/o 7 or 8 seasons ago. Certainly before those changes you said.

from Cesario:
“About players improving too fast I agree, we have some future plans to make player evolution more realistic…”

I think 25 is a good limit age for development. But that´s only my opinion.

Hheheeh, your suggestions weren’t ignored Alban! We just don’t have enought time to implement such complex and interesting features as fast as we’d like. Don’t worry, in time, they’ll all make it into the game, including this one about player experience, I really like it ;)

Cheers!

Maybe it’s better to leave the skills and development as it is now, but add a specific and semi-hidden attribute – experience or consistency…or determination ?

For example, against a weak club from the same league a young player with 90 average skill will play at 100% strength, but playing against a great club or in an international cup the same player will play inconsistent and his average ratings will be unpredictable. So that his average skills wont become 80, of course, but he will play as a rookie.

And this will increase the value of older players, because now we are trying to sell them as fast as possible, but if they have great international experience, I would prefer these players to play in first 11 in Copa Libertadores. Maybe it is also possible to make a semi-hidden attribute – positive influence on teammates ?

Hehe, I wont post it in “suggestions” forum because my last 2 were ignored =)))

A 31 y.o. player will lose only 1 or 2 points during the whole season, in the average. It is possible for a player to reach 33 without having decrease any skill :)

About players improving too fast I agree, we have some future plans to make player evolution more realistic without making it too complex, it’s good to read your concerns about this subject, we are open to suggestions, as always.

Cheers!
