Gabriel

Its not my intent to leave because of games not going my way. Thats not my style. Its a bit like my General Manager saying life style balance. My work of late is very busy, family life and the joys of raising a special needs child take their toll.
I have the utmost respect for people like you who create these free community games and then sit back and cop the occassional critiscm from selfish, thoughtless individuals. Since i have started you guys have come on leaps and bounds. I now longer think about SS/MS as i believe you guys have surpassed that game platform with your own signature.
I plan to transfer some of my paypal dollars (worthless aussie dollars) LOL
My message to all newbies and long servers is keep on enjoying and supporting our Administrator.
I dont intend to leave BUT i am a perfectionist and can not play half hearted. The players grow on you when you groom a 16yr old or you find a diamond like SOARES. However to hold this team i may need to use hoiday mode, caretaker etc or just play medium tick with my developing EPL team. Fingers crossed i can win the double with 3 games left and a lame keeper.

cheers Luc

Monaco is taking the season off due work commitments, however the caretaker may or may not take up the challenge.

Fingers crossed on holding our position in the EPL though.

MATE, make your mind up

Champions league: I want to say getefa, but some how it’s not ment to be for him :) so…I’m going for:
1) Hertha
2)Getefa
3) Manchester city
4) Monaco
.
Really feel like Hertha this season. I’m losing where I wasn’t before. Can’t believe competition got that much stronger at the start of this season :). Gabriel…..please stop touching the game engine DURING the season :). Getting annoying!
.
Thanks for the confidence, but I really doubt I will get through the group stage :(

No offence, but my money is on Getafe. He deserves it to finally win the CL title :P.

I resign from the French Rat Pack due no loyalty.

I am sinere with m praise for sly, we communicate a lot via skype. We even laughed and joked the night before on what we were going to play. He deserves all the accolades as i have stated as its people like him that grow the community and make this game so much fun as he likes to communicate and share his knowledge. He does not play for sheep stations!

well done again mate

as for my striker, blame sly he pointed him in my direction as i was void of a keeper and a striker as I build Monaco from scratch.

I am sure you guys have enough great players. Thes frogs do not seem to grow much home grown talent. You definetly need better players in this game as opposed to SS/MS but then that makes a challenge in itself.

cheers Luc

Firstly congratulations is in order for my Dutch friend from down under. This is why the socceroos will never win, we suffer stage fright. LOL

I am embarrassed, never have experienced such a HEAVY defeat. The irony is it was the same tactic i played sly in our league game, which i won 2-0. Out played and managed by a passionate rubysoccer manager who puts his heart and mind into analysing and enjoying this great FREE game. Not to mention he helps to inspire and motivate others around him. Well done mate. I will go and cry in a corner. Next season maybe 3rd time lucky final appearance you will let me win. LOL

Please dont take away the prospect that at 21yrs old they can still grow and a few rough diamonds are out there.
Damago can vouch for this but i sold my A88 striker at 23yrs old and he continued to grow to a A92 when i last looked.
The easier you make it for big clubs the harder this fast tick will get for beginners. Look at my Monaco, except for the free listed player wages, pushing the bankruptcy theory. LOL
I have bought some nice 21 22 year olds at small ticket prices, they are growing and giving me hope of a decent squad in 1.5 seasons since i started.

I would vote to keep your current change as is for at least two full seasons before we could quantify its success. Guys dont become too impatient.

I believe more energies in the tactic algorithms would be better invested in our time

cheers Luc

I like your loan extension
rewards the good managers doing the right thing. Allow upto a full season extension.

i see both parts of the story with loaned out players BUT guys you cant have it both ways, wheres the risk factor!

February 17, 2009 14:51

Please dont allow it to be abused
if you do recall a player then a break in contract should take effect
if a player is loaned out and payed for than is it not the managers perogitive on what he does with him
he is footing the bill, it cant be all one way in your favour, especially since you are reducing your risk and xpecting another club to develop.

Maybe a posible bonus point system for players loaned out : incentive!

I totally support Rui’s comments.
I must admit its nice creating a team from nothing, let alone more rewarding than being handed it on a plate.
Yes with a weak team it will take time to challenge the super clubs but then thats part of the challenge.

You could allways start another gameworld and try out these suggestions throughout the thread.

You are never going to please all, thats definetly what ive learnt in management. I support which ever way you guys go as its nice to have a free game that brings back some SS memories.

Ive seen keepers with midfield ability, im not questioning the reality as in real life this is possible. But just want to know how this platform works. If its positive than these type of players are more useful

Gabriel

I see all sides to the story here.
My two bobs worth

In real life we generally can see an individuals skills and traits. Its not as common that mature age people step up another step, except for situations where they had talent but due injury, opportunity etc.

This game is vgood but it does fustrate with the lack of movement with youth players. Im not asking for the game platform to make it too easy to see who is a runaway star, however atleast a solid player can be seen BUT would like some more regular movement of primary and secondary stats to reward league/friendly and training efforts. You may allow more movement in specific stats asto elude to potential with the risk that a few more years training/playing he could be a possible star etc

Maybe add a section to coaches that allows you to individually try and train a player on a skill you require. This may effect the overall stats but helps you target weekness in your team and mould as a manager what you need. Maybe a long term vision enhancement.

But definetly for now it would be nice to see that most stat increases are achieved by early 20’s and loss of statistics in early to mid 30’s. This may first start with a dropoff in sec stats like speed/control etc as that is more realistic. Stts increasing later into your 20’s is not really great as the player has a shelf life.

I can bearly catch my kids now as my 38yr old legs have had a hammering from Australian Rules Footbal and Tennis but my brain still works, just!
LOL
