The real world cup is a tournament of seven teams, with the CL and CA winners seeded for the semifinal. In Rubysoccer there are only two continents, but still, a tournament wouldn’t be unrealistic.
Realistic it only could be fair if Eur and SA compete in a global competitions, but I think that would bring too much difference from the real world competitions and that is something RS is appreciated for. Also I think that would be worse for SA teams, São Catano can defeat any european team, but I dont think the other top SA teams can compete against the European top…

It’s been almost the same amount of seasons with Europe been favored in the ranking, so I think it’s fair that we tried to balance things a little more, even though it’s understandable that it will never be completely possible until Euro have more managers.
And I didn’t mean just CWC, I assume, since we all keep saying that Europe should get an extra boost, everybody knows that Brasil and Argentina rule SA. The last seasons we got brazilian teams in the finals and semifinals of both Sudamericana and LA, a lot of times with both making the final match. When one of them wins the CWC it’s not just ‘a’ detail, it’s ‘the’ detail.
Hey guys, another topic for another team :D
I’m selling some players, most are very weak for human managers but there’s this guy I think may be usefull for some teams, I believe he can improve too (players from new countries used to improve no matter their age, dont know if that still works thou). Anyway, he’s 25 and has 97 tackle so can be very usefull I’m sure, price is the highest the board alowed, they have a stupid value for a player like that…
Check it out:

Also the challenge for managers to join me in Croatia still stands, I tend to be a little softer in MT but can still give a good fight to anyone :D
PSV was long on top in the Eredivisie in season 62, but then I had a losing streak and Gabriel’s Emmen took over. Then it was his turn to spoil points and he needed to win our match in round 37… he lost though, so PSV champion again!
No luck for me in the CL though: 9 points was not enough to qualify for the next round. VVV Venlo did better, reaching the semifinals of the EL. Alas they won’t play in Europe in the coming season.
In de Eerste Divisie De Graafschap was unlucky. After trying for a long time, it looked like they would go up finally, but a loss in the last round meant fourth place, 2 points behind the number two.
Groningen and AGOVV, both teams with big stadiums, got new managers. There teams are not so strong yet but I expect that to change. A good financial situation will help.
IMO it’s nice to see the tables have turned. In the early day’s it was only Brazil and argentina who had to devide all the points, while europe had to split it through like 5 or something. The first 30 seasons was just brazil who was dominated because of the flawed concept.
I’m kinda happy to see them being on the otherside of it all :)
Filipe and Dhimitri nailed it, we’ll now have 8 groups in SA competitions as well, increasing the chance of Brazilian and Argentinian clubs have a better performance. Another good point to mention is that, even with an extra round on European competitions as we had last season the number of points a team could make in Europe was exactly the same as a club in South America, i.e. both teams starting on qualifying round and winning all matches until the title would have the same number of points.
Hmmm, good point. I’ll put the contract start date back 1 season to fix that.
Cheers
I hope most of them are fixed by now. We have a little encoding problem with the new names ;-)

Congrats to Bristol for an excellent overall season. You definitely took the league by surprise with your performances, and there’s still lots of potential in that team to aim much higher :)
This is perhaps the start of a new era, a new British dynasty. The Spanish are looming somewhere in the horizon, but they have some way to go before they get any closer, and we will be waiting, anyway!
Yes, there will be eight groups in SA now, too. That should help the Brazilian teams win more matches, hence collect more pts. On the other hand, there are still too many Brazilian teams playing in the continentals, hence it will continue to play down the country’s avg pts.
Anyway, I would wait till the end of this season…I bet Brazil will gain an avg. of around 85 pts, a significant jump from last seasons.
The number of points a team can earn if win every match is the same for European and South American teams, also there’s only one group phase in European competitions, I believe Cardiff played the qualification that season and won almost every match till the final… As I said the difference now is that as Europe has 8 groups its easier for all teams from England, France and Spain to qualify and make some points. As Brazil and Argentine have 13 teams playing its harder for any to have all teams in the group stages. I believe this season things may change as there are 3 new countries in South America so maybe there will be 8 groups too…
I believe that this current system is not well balanced, and I’m not just talking about the CWC that is almost insignificant and have not a big impact in the end, but I’m talking about the total point that one European team can earn against a South American team.
You can compare this just looking at the countries detailed points. The maximum that São Caetano reached in the last 4 championships was 150 points, while Cardiff already reached almost 184 points and in one season that didnt take the championship.
Other thing. When the south american competition starts, most os european countries already have 20 points or more in their accounts (2 group stages against 1 from South America).
I Believe that the total amount that both sides can earn should be the same, and maybe some changes increasing the weight for the quarter, semi and finals. Also giving much more weight to the CWC.
The CWC is almost insignificant in the country ranking, Brazil started losing points because you have now 13 teams to average, Brazil and Argentine teams have no opposition but your teams eliminate each-other so its more difficult for one country to have a higher average. I dont know how things will be now with the new countries but I guess this is why there are 3 new South American countries, there will be more Brazilian and Argentine teams with good performances…
Can we please redo the ranking system?
I know South America has pratically lost the right to fight for the first position, since euros have more human managers, although, I consider that it’s only because of Spain, France and England; but can’t we at least get a shot at the second?
Brazil wins the CWC 3 times and gets 3rd ranking, at most, in every season. Now look at difference when England gets the CWC.
Well after the “French Monster” era I think that we can finally say that a new era is about to begin. English teams had a fantastic performance in European competitions this season – two European competition finals, four English teams!
It was good to see Cardiff finally achieving the highest spot in Europe after getting so close to it last two seasons. It was also great to see that Man Utd is not dead after Filipe left it. And it was also terrific to see Norwich and Bristol doing a great job in EL, as well as Fulham’s local performance.
All this, the fact that there are several English teams with great managers being built right now (Arsenal, Coventry and Newcastle, just to mention three of them…) and the fact that finally England became number 1 in World Rank make me believe that Season 62 is just the beginning of the English Era! Let’s hope that we can keep Spain and France calmed down for the next seasons – it won’t be an easy task for us.
Congratulations to all English managers for Season 62!
SUNDERLAND NEEDS TO GATHER UP GOLD
to spend on rebuilding all players available to be sold even my 100 passer
The game doesn’t allow managers in new country teams to list players as it considers them as boughten in the first turn, is it possible (and easy) to fix this? Teams in Croatia (MT) have no money and no way to sell players until turn 72…
Cheers
Maybe its just my computer but when i click national team on the new countries some of their players have no names? You cant click on anything.. Also Peru has 2 players called C, thats it lol
Thought id point it out!
Well, England still has many teams with potential for managers who seek some fighting, most of the new comers or restarters are still improving their teams so you still have time to start your one and be fighting the good fight in a few seasons…
Take a look at Ipswich Town, many great players already formed and a good number of young potentials making this a team to consider with a good manager, there’s also Bolton Wanderers which financially I thing may surprise everyone (in a good way :D)
BTW congrats to all England teams in European competitions, first spot in the ranking next season with an excellent performance, I’m hoping to contribute a little more for that in a few seasons so wait a little longer :D
Hi guys, after almost all my MT time in Veendam I’m starting a new challenge in Croatia, I think it can be fun starting a team in a new country so if you are looking for a new challenge come too… I dont spend as much time in MT as I do in FT but even so I hope to be fighting for titles with anyone coming :D
But it has been fixed :)
Some managers playing in MediumTicker may have noticed the international competitions had to be re-generated a couple times. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused, it happened due to some wrong configuration in the new countries. We hope you enjoy them by the way ;-)
4 players for sale, yes they are old but top quality and serviceble at least 2 more seasons!!
Prices negotiable

Funny. Midticker has the countries, but not the flags.
I see new flags in the map…
South America:
Bolivia
Peru
Venezuela
Europe:
Croatia
Is that for next season? (63)
Den Bosch has a manager, who does a better job than the previous one. But now I want to show another team which is interesting to manage.
AGOVV is a former champions league winner, but now the team sucks. The best players are old and all the younger players are crap. They finished last in the Eredivisie.
There is one thing though that makes this team interesting to manage: Stadium: 76,000
I estimate that about $300M has been invested in this stadium.
A lot of rebuilding has to be done if you manage this team, really a lot, but once the results improve you can get a massive income. Which you can use to buy even better players…

Selling several players at 90 in main skill and 85-90 in secondary. Take a look at Fenerbahce, prices negociables.
