Yes, had a similar situation in Euro League a few seasons ago.
Only Liverpool players scored that day, unfortunately, the opposition had a guy of mine, and he scored on me.
Perhaps another option in the loan drop down list:

Hi,
Next step reports vs Evolution Stage reports often provide contradictory information.
Next Step I’m not sure how this player can improve.
However, I have had numerous players where their new Evolution Stage report still maintains that the player can still improve their skill points.
When this happens, I re-run both reports, and often the reports stay the same.
For example, Henrik Simonsen, he is 89 shooting, and Evolution Stage says he will be 94-100, yet multiple Next Step reports say he wont improve.
Very unlikely, only if EVERYONE leave ;-)
Thank you. I’d definitely play a full season in the 2nd league again purely for more testing.
Ahh, ok. I played soccersim back in 2000, totally addicted to it, then 1 day it just turned off omg. Let me know if you ever think of turning this thing off jeez.
Interesting perspective! Just a small correction, this is not soccersim and was not even built on top of it. Soccersim was just an inspiration for us to create our own game when that one went offline :-D
Hi,
I was in the English Premier League, got demoted in Season 85, promoted in Season 86, and now I have finished in the Champions League for Season 87.
The season I was in the lower English Championship League, I ran the season in 4 game chunks. I tried out all of the formations I had been using, really found that some just did not work. In fact, I was surprised that I was able to get promoted.
From a tactics and player positioning perspective, I have not been able to identify how the variations impact games.
My players have remained pretty much the same over these past 3 seasons. Only as slightly worse keeper, and a better midfielder is all I have been able to achieve. I still have not worked out how to integrate young players into my senior squad without sacrificing wins.
Even after all of these years, I am still addicted to soccersim. Thanks for keeping it up and running.
HAHAHAHAHA
There are two, one with only Portuguese-speaking members and an international one. The first one is extremely active and people discuss lots of things there, not only Goal FC topics, but the second one never got any real traction and some members even left. Happy to engage on that one but I understand some managers may not be willing to provide their phone numbers, which is understandable, Discord would be better then.
Is there not a WhatsApp?
Everyone is welcome. Would be cool to have a central place to chat.
Just joined that, hopefully others become interested :-)

I started one! Easier than I thought. Invite friends, help the game, and general chit chat!
If any serious managers out there want to discuss players, matches, trading, money or the game in general I feel like we should have a chat/discord.
I’m 35, so I’m not entirely sure how you’d do that, but is there a younger fella willing to take the mantle? Marseille is for sale! The entire team. First come first served!
Will.
P.S. Someone start a discord.
I support them IRL, they need to win some titles! Lol We are in healthy shape now.
You chose a hard one :) but the better it feels when the team starts to improve…
Thanks Filipe! Needed a new challenge, almost relegated first season and almost bankrupt the second haha, forgot how difficult a new club is.
Welcome to England Joseppi, good luck with Tottenham, see you already got some promissing lads.
Haha! Unlucky!
Evaristo Castilho
For sale, still improving, I need money.
89-94 is main skill
When firing retiring players the contract break fee is now calculated based on end of season or contract end date, whatever comes first. Previously it was calculated always based on contract end date, even when it happened to be after player retirement.
My team (VVV Venlo) loses 0-3 at home in the CL.
Bit of bad luck, cause:
22 shots 15
19 shots on target 12
But their keeper was in top form:
G *Ricky Gate 9.5
Wait a minute, I know that name. Isn’t that…
“Loaned from VVV Venlo until season 87, turn 141”
Ouch!
Currently one but he is really second-class…and I have one still in the youth list that looks promising.
Only one over 25. But I have hope some of the younger ones will be good enough to keep.
How many senior players on your team have your brought up from Youth?
I’ve got 3 which are close, but there are often loaned out as they are not quite good enough to start.
You?
That is an interesting idea and a good alternative to allowing scout reports for specific players, even though the scout option is easier to implement.
What would be good and useful would be if we could take freelisted players on trial for say 6-8 turns and during that time be able to get a coaching report on them to see if they are of any use to you.
You will now get messages when a player from your hotlist goes to the free transfer. Transfer listing was already covered and we had this gap for a long time, it has finally been addressed.
I do feel that would help a lot and agree that scouts are mostly used for finding players with good potential rather than established players. I’ve always thought there is some merit in browsing the lists trying to find suitable players for your team, but it does take a lot of time and some people just can’t afford it. I’m sure some managers will still defend separate lists as we have today, but lately I’m more and more inclined to have some kind of search centre or at least more global lists as you mentioned.
What would be amazing & kind of awesome would be a way of browsing the entire list of players in a country, or continent or even the game.
I get that scouts are there to find players with stats, but I don’t use them (and don’t think any others do) other than to find players with good potential.
We can already look at individual teams, national team etc and sort them by specific skills, value, anything. It would be nice to just have a list of ALL players.
They could be listed by nationality, or by current league, or by country etc.
I guess a native app would be a more attractive way to play the game in a mobile phone, not to mention potentially a better way to attract players. Although I agree the game experience in the mobile and desktop is currently very similar, an app would allow us to make use of a number of cool things such as gestures, notifications and other native features. There will be some challenges for sure as Goal FC is not what your regular mobile game, but we’ll do our best to start simple and build on top of that.
And don’t worry, the poll result does not mean we will completely stop adding new features or fixing bugs until the app is ready, it is just a guidance for us.
